Please donate your item to the Veterans instead. Goodwill doesn’t “help” peopleIn need AT ALL. The staff here is rude. They declined to take a very lightly used recliner we wanted to donate to someone who could maybe purchase for a decent price. They wouldn’t take it because a small thread was unraveled on the side. Someone less fortunate would have loved a nice expensive recliner with a TINY thread loose that needed to be tacked down. Shame on you. Donate elsewhere that actually helps others. Goodwill is corporate and greedy. Will never donate to Goodwill again. After loading the chair with my senior father in our truck, driving it to this location, to be turned away for something to petty. Disgusting! Ended up gifting our chair to a disabled senior who was thrilled to get it.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but DON’T GO HERE!!! We visited this location in 3 times in 2020. Upon arrival, we were yelled at to put on masks. I had just stepped out of our car to make sure that when we backed up, that we weren’t too close to the curb. They lady helping was extremely over the top rude and picked though our items not accepting a lot of nice things. Like nice lamps that were 5 years old, a small dresser and nice pictures in frames about 5 years old. Tastes change and these items were practically in brand new condition. This ladies behavior is very unusual for a donation center. All of the many locations I’ve donated over the past 20 years I just dropped off the donations inside where the others were. If I need help, someone would gladly help me. Don’t go here if you’re needed to donate items!!! Better to save your time and sanity by throwing the items away or donate to ANY other location. I avoid this location at all costs even though it’s the closest to my home. I have tried 3 times donating here thinking that it was just one person that was rude but most of the staff is also extremely unpleasant.

Due to frustrating, unacceptable service, we have avoided the Acworth location for a few years. Fortunately for us, we decided to visit this location again. It is a close drive, and we hoped for decent service. These guys were engaging and helpful. They didn't arbitrarily lock the doors. They weren't mute statues annoyed by our attempt to donate.Instead, they welcomed us. They helped us unload a truck and an SUV. And, wait for it. They thanked us for our contribution. It was a refreshingly pleasant experience.

2nd goodwill location to be closed before advertised times. Guess they really don't want donations.

You might want to pick another location to donate items. The parking situation here is highly stressful, as the lot is usually full, and there are only 2-3 goodwill designated parking spaces. The staff can be stand-offish, and you have to almost work to be able to get to donate something. I recommend the Woodstock Goodwill with a drive-thru drop-off.

I've donated to this location many times. The employees are usually less than enthusiastic, but today I had the strangest encounter.I don't know if this is the same woman referenced in the previous reviews, but the woman I spoke with today couldn't really help me at all. I had a large bag and she stated she could not lift it because she has a bad back. I'm 8+ months pregnant and not really supposed to be lifting either. The woman stated she was the only employee working. We kind of just stared at each other for a moment, trying to figure out a plan. Finally she got me a cart and I was able to roll the bag out of my trunk and onto the cart. She said "with all do respect, you need to pack these bags lighter and think about our backs." I said "I'm just trying to do a good thing and donate items, I'll do it however I see fit." It is not the donators' responsibility to "think about the employees backs." Why doesn't this center have people working who can do the job without reasonable accommodation? It's just so strange to me that a place that relies on the general public would exhibit such poor customer service. She also made a big deal out of the fact that I parked one space over from the "designated spaces," so she had to walk an extra three feet. Give me a break.Goodwill, hire better people please.

If you would like to be YELLED at for not bringing a box, LECTURED on the wearing of mask, and generally showered in hatred, by ALL means bring your charitable donation to this location. I can’t for the life of me understand why a business would have such an awful employee. Not only was the women yelling at all of the patrons dropping of their DONATIONS she was screaming at her fellow coworkers in the back. I also witnessed her chastising an older gentlemen saying that he brought too many items and took up too much time. I highly suggest driving and BYPASSING goodwill to donate your items to a worthy organization such as ST. Vincent’s. Seriously good luck if you choose to use this goodwill.

The woman working today was so unbelievably rude. Yelled first at the old man bringing stuff basically saying he had “too much stuff.” Give me a break. There are never too many things to donate to a “charity” organization. She then yelled at my mother saying she could not come back if she didn’t wear a mask. When she didn’t even tell her the protocol in the first place. This woman wouldn’t know the word nice if it hit her like a truck. Please fire this woman whoever she is. So rude. And will not be coming back.

I tried twice to donate items at this location and the staff very rudely refused to take the donations without even looking or asking what they were. This was definitely a first, as my experiences at every other location has been pleasant. You should definitely look into replacing the very rude employee who works here, as it seems like she doesn’t care about helping anyone and drives off supporters.

Staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. The woman working there actually raised her voice to me because she said I wasn’t following “protocol” of how to drop things off… Whatever that means. I had one garbage bag of clothes. Taking my donations to a different charity from now on!

Whoever the woman is that's being referred to in these latest reviews, you are hilarious. Thank you for the laughs.
