“We first went to Cabena's in 2007 after moving to Georgia from California. We had many choices but decided to go with Chuck, truly a family business as his sister Susan handled the office duties so Chuck could focus on repairs and maintenance. We moved out of the area and tried other independent auto repair facilities near our home on the Pickens/Cherokee border but were never satisfied. We are happy to make the drive to Cabena's. I view his shop as the best of both worlds. Dealer quality and reliability yet the friendliness of a small business. We now have three Toyotas and all were recently serviced by Chuck and CJ. We're hoping these will be our last vehicles so we're trusting Cabena's as a partner to make this goal a reality!”

“Brought my daughters older 320E Mercedes Benz which has had the check engine/emission light on and was running a little rough for a while now. Three different mechanics have looked at it, replaced sensors, recommended Catalytic converter cleaner or replacement and sent her on her way with the light still blaring, problem still there. Well, I decided to try someone who specializes in German cars AND thank GOD we found Blitzkrieg. Trevor is very honest, dependable and he knows cars. She loves her Benz and it runs beautifully now after he replaced the Manifold, gasket and a few other sensors. Thank you, Trevor, for making it a little easier for a Mom to sleep while her daughter is out and about working nights.”

This is crucial for ensuring that the emission testing is not only accurate but also in compliance with environmental standards.”
“Audi A6 2.0T - Paper towel shredded in turbocharger system (id10T error) Cleaned all affected system components myself after sky high estimate from another "brothers" owned shop. Car ran a little rough and had some paper burning smell so I called North Georgia Automotive to start quoting more 2nd opinions. TLDR: Will use again knowing Shawn was more than fairly priced and considerate.
Shawn took my call while he was with his family at the airport waiting to leave for a well needed vacation. He graciously listened to my car repair situation, provided a competitive ballpark estimate, and promised to look at the car once he got back. I was given very high estimates by the first shop that were either meant to scare me away or go up on a board of suckers ;) (I know there are costs to doing business and replacing this turbo is troublesome.)
Shawn's over the phone, worst case scenario estimate, was perfectly in line with the parts and labor reasonably required to clean and replace the turbo related parts for my car. The first shop was charging more to clean charge-pipes than it would cost to replace them. He eased my wariness by confidently providing a cleanout and assess approach and not jumping straight into a parts cannon solution. The first shop did provide a very detailed repair quote with photos and line items that would have tipped the scales toward repair if the estimate was reasonable. They also offered additional services that were needed but priced way too high. Of course you can guarantee your work if you charge double up front.
Ultimately, Shawn inspected and ran the car and could not find anything wrong with my "repair." He thanked me for giving him enough time to assess the smell and look over my attempt to remove all paper towel remnants. He said the car was ready to pick up and that next time I need to bring him something he can fix!
I am so grateful for the approach he took with our car repair. I made a mindless error while replacing the engine air filter that ended up costing me a "premium diagnostic" fee from the first shop, a cheap endoscope, two coolant return lines that crumbled while cleaning out the system, and sleep.
I highly recommend Shawn for his genuine nature and willingness to help. I heard him on the phone telling a customer that they could buy a new engine but that that would be cost prohibitive. He offered to look for a used one or even buy an entire scrapped car and pull and replace the engine for less. He's not afraid of finding solutions that fit the customers needs. Shawn runs a genuine repair shop. He's got a lot full of cars and little room to park. He's busy but he will take time to talk to you and keep it real. I read some reviews that say his techs leave grime in the vehicle and I agree. An easily solved issue on Shawn's end. I was willing to clean my door sills in this case.
If you're thinking about going to a Brothers owned shop to experience Christian values, call Shawn at North Georgia Automotive first. I expect he will treat you fair and, as in my case, give you more than you pay for.”
