I had the salmon. It was delicious. The service was fantastic. However, even though I was warned that the plate was 500 °F I forgot and grabbed it to moved it closer. It's easy to forget, because it's an automatic response. The waiter was very good, friendly and knowledgeable .

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice . However, the fact that they are overly pet friendly (not referencing service animals). The restaurant allowed a couple with a poodle to sit next to my table. The server did not take into account that a person in my party is allergic to animal hair. Once it was brought to their attention, the server took their time relocating the couple. The individual who was allergic to pet hair had to actually get up and walk outside due to it taking so long the staff to have the couple with the pet relocated. There was no sense of urgency to accommodate the customers who were uncomfortable/allergic sitting next to the dog.

My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday. This was the first time visiting at their new location, which is a mere 100 yards from their old location. We were shown to our table, in the middle of their dining room, but asked to sit at a booth. Note to self: always request a booth. We were asked by the host if we were celebrating a special occasion, which by the way, when I made the reservation, I was asked the same question, and clearly stated it was for my wife's birthday. The host was a little put off by our request, as I noticed they had taken time to add little "Happy Birthday" confetti on the white table cloth. Nonetheless, we sat at a booth. Moments later, our "busser/servers assistant" welcomed us and asked us the same question about celebrating a special occasion. Yet again, I told him that we were celebrating my wife's birthday. He then began to remove the two place settings in front of us, explaining that this is what their practice is... errrrr okay. Expecting the place settings that were not removed to be moved in front of us, we sat there with no place settings in front of us. Perplexed, when our server came over to welcome us, and yes, asked if we were celebrating ... you get the gist, I enquired about the two place settings being removed and let her know we're were not moving positions to be in front of the place settings that were not removed. She insisted that we did not have to. Again, I expected someone to reposition the place settings to be in front of us. Now, you might be asking what's the point? The point ... when choosing to eat at a "Fine Dining" restaurant and dropping a considerable amount of money, place settings are part of the overall service experience. By the way, at no point did the server or her assistant attempt to move the place settings to be in front of us.... However, upon ordering a bottle of St. Suppery Cab Sauv (2019), she did reach over us and moved the two wine glasses to be in front of us.. but not the water. I've never experienced this in any fine dining restaurants... Moving on (sigh of relief). 1. Wine service - On point. 2. Food: we both ordered steaks. Perfectly Cooked. Sides: baked potato and Cremini mushrooms en Demi-Glace, very good. 3. Very nice "Birthday Apple Pie À La Mode" dessert (pictured). Later in our dining experience, a "manager" came to our table. He did not introduce himself. We assumed he was a manager based on his suit... perhaps he should come to the table, introduce himself and ask "how was our dining experience?", not "do we have any questions or concerns?" We will not return to this Ruth's Chris, not because of the food, but service experience was not indicative to a fine dining restaurant. This makes me question their service training or service policies. This also makes me question if I have too high an expectation for this restaurant ... I give the food 5/5. I give the wine 5/5. I give the Birthday dessert 5/5. I give service experience 1/5. As opposed to our visit to their old location, service experience - Confusing and Poor. If service, to you, is not important ... then this is the place for you. If both food and service is important to you, as it is to me, go somewhere else. I will be going somewhere else...

Thank you is not enough to express the gratitude I have for the Ruth Chris event manager Jesika Martinez and the Winter Park manager and staff. I arranged to have our daughter and now son in law's rehearsal dinner at Ruth Chris. Party of 26 on a Friday evening. On the day of the event, we dropped off flower arrangements at around 2 p.m. Jesika called to let me know they were dropped off at the wrong location in Winter Park and I had contracted for the Orlando liocation. She heard the panic in my voice and went in to high end customer service mode that you could only hope for these days. She asked if she could call me back and within the hour she was able to change our location to Winter Park as I had invited everyone to Winter Park. The rehearsal was in Winter Park and the guests were staying in Winter Park. The GM at WP quickly had their event room set up for us and was able to call in additional staff for our event. They were all amazing. I initially did not plan on sharing that I mixed up the locations but want everyone to know how great the Ruth Chris team is and also let you know the food was amazing and that everyone had a great evening. Thank you!!!!

We're back! This time for a friends birthday dinner. If you're looking for a fancy place for a dinner date, this is the place. While the price is steep it is well worth it. The ambiance is unmatched. You are wine and dined here. The staff is attentive, professional, and go out of their way to make your night. The manager even walks around greeting the tables and making small talk. The complimentary valet is a nice perk. Definitely make reservations ahead of time. The food is delicious. The steaks are perfectly made every time. My personal favorite is the New York strip with blue cheese crumbles. The asparagus was cooked well and flavorful. The garlic mash was also great. Their drink menu/ bar can whip up anything you like. Drinks are stiff and if you ask for a tequila shot they pour generously. It was so worth it I ordered two lol. They serve bread along with your meal. They'll also pack you a nice to go bag if needed. I'm already hungry for more just writing this review.

Our first and honestly last time. Came with big expectations on the food- sadly the food was pretty average. Service was excellent, but the food not so much. Serving the steak in the sizzling plates keeps on cooking it, keep that in mind. The mashed potatoes were instant, our daughter's fries super oily and over fried. Overall a mediocre experience.

There's just something about that 500 degree oven!! The new location of Ruth's Chris in Winter Park is beautiful, modern, and classy. Our server was great and made us feel fancy. Our steaks came out great - better than I was expecting! Can't wait to come back.

Modern and classy with a beautiful set up. Two main dining areas on both sides of the very elaborate bar. This location is brand new as the older free standing one has been demolished, what a lovely fresh feeling to come back to RC after a few years. Each of the dishes, strip steak, filet & lobster and the sides of cremini mushrooms and garlic potatoes were absolutely delicious. Steaks cooked to perfection at high temperature were sizzling on our plates. House and Cesar salads were plentiful and fresh. The service was on point. Mandi was very attentive and friendly and explained the specials very well especially in the loud room:) She stopped by frequently to see if we needed anything else. The restaurant was packed and we waited about 15 minutes to get seated. We did make reservations. Our birthday guest was upgraded to a regular size dessert with a candle instead of the personal dessert that came with the Steak and Lobster Signature meal. Overall everything was on point and the manager did circle around to check on the tables as the guests were finishing up. Have to say, we" ll be back again.

Made a reservation to celebrate my son's 14th birthday, we arrived with our table decorated with birthday confetti. Taylor made sure our experience was top notch! She was very attentive to everything which is such a delight. We expect nothing but the best and the best we got. Ahi Tuna for appetizer, Lobster Bisque Soup, Tomahawk seasoned to perfection, my husband got the sea bass which melts in your mouth softness. As always I'm simple, I love their Lobster Mac & Cheese so make sure to add that to your sides. My son had a memorable birthday dinner so kudos to the whole staff especially the Chef!

I knew it would be expensive and food had some great high points. We split the bill among 4 of us ($400 total with tip)--each had a drink; we ordered calamari for the table which was the absolute best I ever had! The novelty drink was like punch. Our main meal included one filet mignon cooked well, one surf and turf, one 12 oz NY Strip (flavorful) and one salad with blue cheese dressing. There was one order of plain single serve mash potatoes and one table garlic mashed potatoes. Both of the potatoes were exceptional in texture and taste. Dessert was only fair --bread pudding was large but mediocre and crème brûlée lacked substance though presented well. Staff and servers were outstanding; restaurant clean and stylish and service not invasive. In total, the price should reflect an impeccable experience which it did not. We probably will not return as the food was just acceptable.

This place never disappoints! Recent change of location has not compromised service. Stephen, in the bar area, remembers our drinks even when it's been months between visits, and in the rare occurrence of an error on the order, they are quick to make it right. Great atmosphere, great food, and great employees!! Thank you again, Ruth's Chris Winter Park.
