I am not sure when the sale of this practice to NVA occurred, but there has been a noticeable decline in the patient care, service, and attentiveness from this business. I have been taking my many dogs there since 1992 and can no longer recommend this vet to anyone. I asked for a call from the hospital manager, but never got one. I called back and asked to speak with Dr. McAbee and learned that he sold the practice. They proceeded to tell me that I told them I did not want to speak with the hospital manager last week, which is a false statement. They simply never called me back. Please take your business elsewhere. I am sure there are many smaller vets who will care for your pets better than this inefficient, uncaring business.

What a wonderful place. The entire staff are very pleasant and this place does not try to take you for every dollar like a lot of other veterinary places do (i.e. blood tests, heart worm tests, unnecessary medications, etc).

The best animal hospital in Orlando! They have friendly, respectful and knowledgeable staff but also treated our cat so kindly. We are happy to find this place for our cat babies.

Called to set an appointment for my cat who has had chronic heavy breathing for a while now, and a couple other issues I wanted looked at. I didn't even get to bring up the other issues, they told me because there was something with breathing I had to immediately go to some other company's emergency room and refused to set an appointment. I could understand that if this was a sudden change but it has been ongoing and probably allergy based since she has some hot spots on her face and back which I didn't even get to say before they told me they won't see my cat. If they're that opposed to seeing my cat then I won't force them to. Adding a star only because the receptionist was nice.

I have had several pets cared for at McAbee Vet Hosp over the last 20+ years and the quality of care for each of them has never wavered. We have seen a variety of doctors, techs and front desk personnel over the years but my recent visit with Dr. Gray and Olivia (tech) was our best by far. They, along with Michaela at the front desk, went out of their way to take extra care with my 17-year-old pup who had been ill for days, anxious and in pain. Michaela had us wait in the car until there was a room ready so no reception area anxiety. Dr. Gray heard my concerns, honored the input I could give as Bullit's mom, and adjusted care accordingly. And Olivia came up with a novel way to hold my 17-year-old pup for a shot so that we did not reactivate an old neck injury and then took extra time afterward to educate me on the medicines and supplements I would be administering at home. Because of Dr. Gray, Olivia and Michaela, I felt uniquely a part of Bullit's care while at the same time fully supported by this wonderful crew. Thank you all for you genuine care and commitment to caring for our fur babies ??

They were very polite and courteous. My dog I believe is getting the best care there. I would definitely recommend.

Since the caring Vets left I stopped taking my girls here. I had been coming here since 1996.
Paid more but got everything done by Dr. Olsen at Blue Pearl.
Also I had to stop getting shots done on them because of the lymphoma and got notes from Blue Pearl to have as proof and notified McAbees for their records and yet get a text today reminding me to get the shots. Guess they don't keep up on the files
Also had to put Taffy and Luna to sleep and notified McAbees but they are calling me to get shots done.

I've been with McAbee since 1983. Though many changes have occurred over those years, service has always remained great. From the front desk, to the techs, to the doctors - they are all wonderful.

I drive from Port Orange to go to this vet. Dr. McAbee and his staff are the best! Caring, compassionate and have taken care of both of my dogs through several surgery situations.

Dr. Sawyer is the one I trust my boy with. She listens to all my concerns and then checks out all the areas I have concern with and she takes action. I never feel rushed or that she is just going thru the motions. She truly cares for my boy. She is an awsome vet and i would recommend her to anyone.
