Hertz is a terrible company to rent a car from based on my experience here. I will mever rent from them again. They can not process any extensions or disputes at the store. Everything is through corporate mostly online and you are not able to talk to a live person about it. I was not able to extend my rental because of their inefficent structure as a company. Also, they charged me $17 for gas when i returned it the way i got the car. The dispute process is all online. I called my bank and they helped instead. When i picked up the car i had to wait an extra 20min for them to clean it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Before you rent, ask about their toll policy. I wasn’t informed of it and woke up to an almost $200 toll charge from Hertz because they have an incentive to NOT tell you about their toll policy. It is more money in their pocket to keep their mouth shut regarding this.
At the time of speaking with Sarah, I was informed that they have an option to add a toll pass to the car. If you don’t do that, it’s $9.99 a day each time you use the toll. I told her this was my first time hearing of such a policy and she informed me with an assumingly straight face that “there’s just so much to tell customers, that we don’t tell them everything.” That’s bad business to refuse to tell a consumer about a policy of yours, but it definitely is a short term quick fix if you want to make money off of those unaware.
I was told to read my contract and I had prior read it, and understood that I could indeed use the tolls and pay them later. No mention of this magical $9.99 a day fee without a toll plate provided by them.
Of course, I will be disputing this and reporting this business to all relevant agencies. It’s appalling they would try to pass the buck so flagrantly, but also while being LESS THAN A MILE AWAY from a toll entrance.
STATE YOUR FEES UP FRONT— is it really so hard to be an honest business, nowadays? Apparently so.

Worst experience I was charged for, and the car didn't get and get, and when I called, I got the run around they are quick to take your money out to give it back is a hassle. Excuse after Excuse... till today, I still have not gotten my money back.

I would confidently rate this place a 0. Waited at the paint shop for 1.5 hours for the car to be dropped off. The paint shop called multiple times to ensure they were still coming. Enterprise came and picked someone else up in 20 minutes.

Waiting time is terrible, while you being helped the front desk attendant answers phone calls, receives return rentals, pretty much helps anyone but stops working on your file while doing so. We had to wait for 4 other people to be helped while it was our turn.

Read the reviews and avoid. Booked a vehicle and showed up only to be told they don’t have any available and I’d be put on a wait list.Was told there are no cars available at any Hertz location. Called the colonial location and they did.. I shouldn’t have to do their job for them.In addition, after I did receive a car an hour later, they had three in the parking spaces adjacent that I returned after hours-was a mile away at work- and they were still there. Sorry, but lying is terrible customer service- my guess is the SUVs that were in spaces would rent higher than the class I booked so they said nothing was available.Will never rent from that location again.(Response to owner-you're seeing the same problem at that location over and over again. Why hasn't anything changed? Maybe if you put the same effort into changing your business model as you do responding to negative reviews, you wouldn't have issues with unhappy customers)

Terrible customer service and rude as hell employee. I’ll never rent a car from this location. Their “system” would only allow me to use my debit card if I book 24 hours in advance. Not so with Enterprise. Lost my business forever.

The person that works at the front desk just simply doesn’t want to be there. Extremely rude and disrespectful and raises his voice for no reason at the simplest questions. He said he was the manager and that he decided not to help me when I only asked him to talk more respectfully and not raise his voice. I believe his name is Brandon and this was going to be my first experience with Herz. I had just dropped off my car at Gerber Collision next door and walked to this Herz location after thinking that it would be better than going to enterprise and was ready to rent a vehicle for 2 weeks until this went down. I’m literally waiting on my Uber ride to go to enterprise as well. And I recommend everyone to do the same thing as long as that unprofessional individual works there cause you’ll simply have the worst experience and make your being without a cat ordeal even worse. Do better
