The absolute worst rental experience. I almost didn't get car. The rental car was dirty and unwashed. The sales manager bumped me as I was doing my rental. I complained and she told me there was nothing she could do, as body shops are top priority over same day rentals. I made a reservation. I complained more and she was somehow able to accommodate me. They didn't even inspect before renting it out. The site says they accept debit cards but I was not able to use it, since it was a same day rental. I took 10 minutes to move money over to my credit card, and walked in to hear " I'm so sorry your rental is no longer available " I had LITERALLY just gave her a card but she said I had to change my payment method. Then she wouldn't call anyone because the manager over her was on vacation and the stand in manager was not available. Unnecessary inconveniences. I was not pleased at all.

DO NOT get a rental car here. We had the ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE! We were instructed to come to this location by VW. We scheduled our service appointment with VW. Contacted Hertz, spoke with ALEX who claims to be the manager, he was made aware I would be in need of LARGE SUV. He states no problem. Upon getting there he comes out with a small Buick Encore. Upon seeing it my husband and I advised him this car was NOT going to work as I have a stroller and THREE car seats that needed to fit in the back hence the reason we requested a LARGE SUV to begin with! Upon trying to fit the car seats in we discover the back seat doesn’t even have seatbelts!!!! Upon searching everywhere, digging our hands into the whole, folding the seats over to find it there was no seatbelt! We made Alex the manager of this. He said “I don’t service the cars I have I no clue why it’s not there. This is the only vehicle I have take it or leave it” I informed I can not take the car with no seat belt. He claims he is too busy to deal with this. He is slammed from fields BMW & Honda sending over too many people. I said you need to figure it out. He then put me in a focus. After getting situated in the focus. Alex calls Bob and says they can come out of that car I have a Cadillac I put them in but it’s dirty and we don’t have time to clean it. Upon getting in the car it had the previous customers information. I contacted Alex AGAIN telling him this. He states so? What are you going to do with his name and the last 4 of his card information? Alex’s foul customer service, piss poor attitude and lack of attention to detail is the reason I will NEVER come to to this place or a hertz!! Not only is their customer service and quality of cars disgusting their SAFETY IS CLEARLY NOT A PRIORITY! WHICH WILL NEVER BE OKAY. A 4 month old and 6 month old boy buckled in! They will be reported to the BBB IMMEDIATELY

Horrible service, had a reservation for 12pm on a Saturday that I paid for in advance showed up at 12:05 and the guy said they were closed and he couldn't rent me a car...... I will never use these guys again

Save yourself the headache and choose either another Hertz location or a different company altogether.Generally speaking, we've had great experiences with airport Hertz locations. I have enjoyed the President’s Circle® status.Here are the facts: the vehicle given to us at this location smelled of cigarette smoke and was infested with roaches. Since we had plans in place, we tolerated the smell but when a roach literally flew out of a air conditioning vent, we instantly drove to the nearest Hertz and switched out the car. When we returned the car to the Fairbanks location, the doors were locked during normal business hours because their employees were late.When they arrived 19 minutes after their opening time, one of the late staff checked my rental car and gave my receipt. It was an unremarkable exchange, or so I thought.The next day, I noticed a fee was charged to my credit card by Hertz. When I was finally able to speak to someone at Hertz (after being on hold for 30+ minutes), I was told that I returned the vehicle with less than a full tank.Thankfully, I had taken photos and a video of the interior, including the fuel gauge when I parked the car at Fairbanks for return. The phone representative said she would remove the fee after I explained that I had proof of a full tank at the time of drop-off.Here is how the front staff can do better at this location.1. Improve the quality control for your vehicles. Do not rent out cars unfit to be driven.2. Show up to your job on time.3. Notify customers of additional fees at the point of sale or return.I hope this review prevents you from experiencing the horrifying and poor customer service at this location. If they consistently continue these types of practices, I would be genuinely surprised if they are still in business in 5 years.

Made a reservation and go to the location and they don’t have a car for me, however the manager, got to work and helped me finding a car for me and after a short wait i was on the road. Very appreciated service

Very kind and knowledgeable staff! Though Very busy they did not lose their cool. Took us out to the Tesla Model 3 and showed us the basics.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. We secured a car rental the day of - when we show up to get the car they state they have nothing available. No other locations around then have cars and their computer system isn’t able to look up airport availability. Again the same broken software that lets you book cars and secure a reservation without actually having any service to provide. It isn’t her fault, she doesn’t make the rules or doesn’t run hertz as a whole, but the woman at the counter couldn’t be bothered. She just casually said oh I called and left a message on your cell phone (no missed call or voicemail was to be found). 1) if you can’t fulfill a reservation what kind of software do you have that allows someone to book 2) to do the very least in customer support and give up on attempts to give us a heads up. All In all this is was a terrible experience. For the record I am also presidents circle with hertz which is their highest status. Loyalty gets you nothing.Just scroll through here and look at all the negative reviews. When people’s criticism are this repetitive - there is a problem with the company / location. I’ve had much better luck at airport locations.

Have rented here multiple times. Never had an issue. Alot of these other reviews dont seem like people who are familiar with car rental policies. Of course you need a credit card, of course if your late they give a away your reservation. Every time I have been here they have gone above and beyond to help me and make sure I got what I wanted.

I needed to do a car swap from a car that was rented in Hertz of Holly Hill/Daytona. The Hertz in Daytona didn’t have the size vehicle I needed and neither did the one in Sanford FL. When I called this Hertz Sasha was so kind and understanding of my situation. She explained that they did not have a vehicle at that time but they were getting more in within the next hour and told me to call back and she was confident she could get me in a vehicle. Sure enough when I called her back she knew who I was and she said absolutely bring your car over I have a vehicle for you. I greeted her with a huge hug because she had gone out of her way to accommodate me in a very stressful situation. I made sure to tell the manager how wonderful she is and how excellent she is at listening to customers needs, addressing any concerns, and finding a resolution. I will gladly recommend this Hertz to anyone I encounter that is looking for a vehicle.

Made an online booking a few weeks ahead with pick-up scheduled on a public holiday. Somehow the system allowed the booking to go through even though the outlet would be closed.Arrived for pick-up only to find the store closed. Was in the midst of making changes to my travel plans when the store manager turned up just to open the outlet and process my rental.I am very much appreciative of his excellent customer service. He had turned up to process my rental on his own personal off day which was a public holiday. Had he not turned up, my travel plans would have been significantly disrupted.Thank you once again for the wonderful service!

This company is horrible!!!! If I could have rated it zero stars I would have. This location specifically is so unprofessional. AAA connected me with them and I was told I would be picked up at my home at a certain time. I was told that an hour before they came they would call me. I never received a call. When I called they told me they would not pick me up although my credit card had already been charged and that they did not have a car for me. I called AAA who connected me with the main office and they told me there was nothing they could do. I tried to file a complaint and they told me to go online and hung up in my face. They do not care about their customers. Do not waste your time or hard earned money here.

The worst company ever!We almost crashed because they gave us a damaged van; the oil was empty, the wheel got stucked while driving through a curve! We lost two days of vacation waiting for them to gave us a new van, my father got a temporary facial paralysis due to stress!!!So we went to the agency to claim for everything we went through, and although we were very kind despite the circumstances, the employee started screaming and pounding the desk, wouldn't let us speak, now imagine going through that with my dad's issue, last thing my father needed with that health matter was someone screaming at him and pounding the desk!!! He even threatened us!!!! Also he said that it was an issue that could've happened at any time to anyone, we do understand that failures exists, however, that was a neglect, they did not verified the van correctly before delivered it.So not only we risked ourselves with a damaged van, we also had a terrible, awful customer service experience.How does Hertz let their employees to talk like that to customers?Truly unbelievable!!!!!

It was the first and last time that I rent a car with them. I asked them to charge an extra fee, so I could return the car without the gas tank full. And apparently they did not charged me that fee and after I return the car they charge me $160, $10 per each gallon of gas. If someone is reading that do not ever rent a car from this company. They will do anything to earn more money than supposed from you.
