This is the best place to go in central Florida for getting your cylinder heads serviced. These guys are very knowledgeable, personable, and will spend the time to discuss your needs thoroughly to get your project going in the right direction. I had my cylinder head completely rebuilt and they did an outstanding job. Their attention to detail and passion for what they do is second to none.

Honestly, I'm really surprised to see any bad reviews on here. I'm an average at-home DIY gear head, so I was expecting a typical garage where the dudes (and ladies) working there think that they know better. Not Advanced Cylinder Heads!! I am rebuilding the cylinder head on my 2012 VW Jetta after a timing belt failure. When I was attempting to install the camshaft, one of the bearing cap threads broke in half with the nut stuck in there. I was thinking I was going to have to have the head re-machined or something, but nope. Turns out it was a pretty easy fix! I didn't catch the guy's name who helped me, but he was awesome. He stopped doing what he was doing, and not only took the time to pull the broken thread, he showed me how to do it myself. Again, to a DIYer like myself, having someone kind enough to pass down any knowledge is just a gift. Everyone there was super nice. Just about every employee I saw asked if I had been helped. 10/10 highly recommend using this place for any engine repairs.Services: Engine repair

So my review as requested by the owner, was going to do my simple press for free in exchange for a good review. I won't go there again. Said a piece was bent. It was. It was a dust shield. Didn't press it on. I would have paid the 90$ hourly rate for 5 seconds of work. Wasn't asked. If i bring a dealer's part then we're good. 28 year old truck. The dealer offers no part for this. So aftermarket it is. I purchased a 12" piece of bar i had to modify and widen just a bit to use as a slide hammer. 13$ truck drives fine with the aftermarket part.

Old engines are tough, most guys today weren't even alive when the motor I'm having done was made. After some confusion the owner contacted me personally and has been absolutely professional and helpful to help me get this done right. Above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we get this 52 year old Big Block done right. They say "you get what you pay for" and that is exactly right, this machine shop is worth doing business with and worth the price. Thank YouService: Engine repair

WORSE RIP OFF SHOP!!! DON'T GO! Over priced work done incorrectly,go across the street for a real mechanics who won't scr*w you. I asked for bearings to be pressed and he tried to charge me $600. So I went to a different shop for the same work to be done and was charged only $20. at the other shop.

Wasted so much time here. Brought in my car for a broken coolant flange bolt, and was told it would be scheduled a week in advance. However, since they understood this was my one and only car, they’d try to fix as fast as possible. Fine, I thought maybe they are just a little backed up, I can understand assuming they are hopefully a good shop that sees many customers. Next week comes around I have not gotten any response so I call Friday afternoon. Was told they have not touched the car saying, "some things apparently came up". Okay, things happen, I understand, getting a little irked but I can wait another week. 3rd week comes and they look at the car Wednesday. Got a call Friday the same week that apparently "four of their master mechanics" could not figure out how to fix my issue unless they removed the head of the block, and I was basically told to sell or part out my car and buy another one. Undeniably I was shocked when I heard this, literally one broken bolt required a complete overhaul of the engine in their eyes. Nice way to start off the weekend, right? Finally towed the car back to my apartment complex Monday (4th week now). I wasn't about to drop several grand on a new car or head removal on a perfectly fine car and decided I'd tackle this myself, so ordered a bolt extractor that came Wednesday; and what do you know? I somehow removed the bolt in 30 minutes and bleed my coolant in a 1 hour, well before the sun begun to set that evening, shocking! Not sure how I as a college student fixed a problem literally in the parking of lot of my apartment complex (with Harbor Freight tools no less, LOL), that “four master mechanics” with a plethora of equipment and lifts couldn't, either sheer incompetence or a lack of care at all. Regardless, car has been driving fine thus far after my own exploits, and no, I don’t plan on parting it out.As a car enthusiast I tend to do my own maintenance on my car, I only happened to bring it to this shop because I was backed up with other activities with school and work. A local mechanic that welded up my exhaust referred me to this shop, stating they would be able to take care of it no problem since they are familiar with dealing with engine blocks. I don't know how they are as machine shop, but my experience with their mechanic side was unbelievably poor and I wasted weeks of my time and my money on Uber rides just get to work and school on time. Like, imagine if a college student was in my position who did not know how to work on cars, they’d basically be SOL if they took the advice this shop gave.

Hands down the best machine shop in the south. Not only did they do a great job on my GTR, but I also couldn't resist having them work magic on my Toyota Supra cylinder head. We tend to spend a bit of time and $ on our projects, so be sure to get the best in quality and service with state-of-the-art precision. The team over at Advance love what they do and most importantly are great people. Much respect and shout out to the advance cylinder head family.Thank you.
