I appreciate the professional care from the medical staff in preop, in surgery and in recovery. I trusted them completely. The nurses, doctors, anesthesiologist were thorough. They listened to me when i spoke with them. They helped put me at ease. The procedure was quick and painless.

The staff were very professional, caring , knowledgeable and friendly. I have experienced sub standards care at other local hospitals and Winter Haven and their staff are heads and shoulders above all of them. Thank you for the wonderful experience and excellent care I received.

I had to take my son to the ER. It was recommended to take him here. I am so happy I did. Upon entering I was very pleased with the check-in process. Thank you to the security, as you made me feel secure being there. The check-in staff was super nice and very quick. The wait time was very brief for my son to be seen and getting into a room. The bedside manner from EVERYONE was phenomenal. The doctors, nurses, x-ray technician and even the wheelchair assistance transporter were very pleasant and kept us informed. Most importantly they were very kind and considerate to my son: having his first visit into an ER, which can be scary to a young child. This might not be my closest ER but worth the drive if the situation allows. Thank you everyone!

My Dad was in ICU. Every nurse was on point & very compassionate with his care. They went over & beyond. I could call any time & they were always very nice & answered any questions I had. They also called me with any changes that happened. Always in the loop. They truly care about the patient..... an the family members too!

I had OT sessions with Mandy and it was a positive experience. She was professional, knowledgeable, supportive and kind. She took a real interest in my life and listened to my concerns and had many different exercises for me to do to help with my condition. Also, the staff in the rehabilitation center were friendly and helpful as well. It is a great place to go if you need therapeutic support.

Everyone is extremely friendly and patient. They give clear instructions and answer any questions I had for my procedure. The nurses were caring, warm and gentle. While you never want to go back, they set your mind at ease and make your experience as comfortable as possible.

I was impressed with Winter Haven Hospital from the moment I walked into the hospital until I was discharged the next day after total hip replacement. The administrative process was well done and efficient. I was further impressed with the patient tracking process that enabled my wife to follow where I was in the surgical process/recovery. Once checked into a room, the care I received from the nurses and support staff was outstanding. I could not have received better care. Everyone went out if their way to help either me or my wife. The patient portal was also of interest to me. I was surprised that patient medical information was promptly posted, including surgical notes, medications, etc. The discharge process was also very efficient until the time I got in the car and left for home. I would highly recommend Dr. Samuel Messieh and Winter Haven Hospital to anyone.

Very much amazed at the care I received. The staff was extremely nice and very professional. I was very well taken care of every step of my surgery. Any of the prep work was done by multiple people at the same time. They came in and did their thing and they were very fast and proficient. I was very pleased with my care. Totally helped with any anxiety I had. Thank you Winter Haven Hospital!!

I went in there with no circulation because of my cast being too tight. Was told by the ambulance driver they would be able to change my cast. They took me and sent me in the waiting room with not even offering me a pillow to prop my foot on. Then finally took me back to a room and left me there for a baby another hour and the swelling had went down a little bit which made my toes go back to somewhat of a normal color. They discharged me without doing anything but pinching my toes and checking my blood pressure. I didn't even have a ride home and had to sit out in front of the hospital trying to find an Uber at 2:00 a.m. I have health insurance and I should not be billed for that visit where they did absolutely nothing. Pinching my toes and taking my blood pressure. I would have never went there if I didn't think they could change the cast and that ambulance guy told me they could for sure. I would have left immediately if I was told that. Every experience I've had with Winter Haven hospital since I moved here in 2020 has been terrible I wouldn't want my dead body going to Winterhaven Hospital. I'm 48 years old I've been hospitalized several times and Winter Haven hospital by far is the worst I've ever been to and you get treated like a Criminal by security.

Very informative, Pulmonary Therapy team Christina, Colleen and Laura were all wonderful people to work with. They were professional and courteous in every way. I learned so much about my limitations and danger zones to avoid and felt stronger while learning new techniques about my breathing issues that will help me in the future with my disease. I would highly recommend this group of therapists to anyone in need. Thank you ladies for all that you did for me and others.

I was a patient at pulmonary rehab. before and after my lung transplant. I can honestly say that the 3 women that work there....Laura, Colleen, and Christine, are the best at what they do. They put their all into what they do. They do it with pride. They pay close attention to each and every patient during their workout. I fought to get transfered from the pulmonary rehab in Orlando to Winter Haven. Not only because of distance, but because I felt more comfortable with the 3 of them. If thin%s work out, I'll be coming back for level/stage 3

My physical therapy with Mandy and Tiffany was terrific. They are both so personable and professional. The reception office at PT was also awesome. I found everyone, even employees not associated with my care, to be extremely friendly and caring. It was a great experience for me.

Roxy, the x-ray tech was so helpful and caring. She explained everything and made sure I was comfortable. She was very sweet and listened to my concerns. We really need more people like her in the health care field. I recommend this hospital to everyone before any other hospital in Polk County.

To say the least I was very shocked at the condition of the room we were placed in. I’ve lived in Winter Haven the majority of my life and Winter Haven Hospital has grown tremendously and become BayCare. arrived here around 7 PM with my partner. After hours of waiting and finally being taken back to a room this is what I saw. The bed was filthy. The floor was filthy. There were hairs. Dirt. Even a small roach crawled across the floor and I have a video of it I’m trying to figure out how to post it here. Mind you this is a hospital where cleanliness should be a huge factor. It took us until 6 AM to be discharged. That was for one prescription and one shot.All I can say is if you’re going to add all of these new additions to the hospital and advertise with tons of new commercials you definitely need to work in other areas as you can see from the pictures. I was not impressed at all. Sanitation seems to be at the bottom of your list.
