Always a wait but THIS is the only DG in my area so it's ALWAYS busy! Usually a long line and wait and sometimes the staff is OK they are nice but could use a bit more better customer service standards.

Day 3 and this store still has the orange sign on the door saying they’re closed AGAIN. Such an inconvenience. The staff by the way suck. Everybody seems miserable as if they hate the place. They barely greet you. The store is always a mess. Isles always filled with stock carts and clutter. At this point fire everybody or just shut the place down.

Crowded, understaffed, and a hazard. The poor cashier is miserable, and if there's any kind of emergency, people won't be able to escape.

Messy shelves, half of the messy shelves are empty. I'm running into boxes or restocking bins on carts in the aisle ways. When I went, they only had one register open and a line of about 15 to 20 people waiting to check out. The self check out wasn't working.

Located on the corner of lake ruby rd and thompson nursery, Dollar General is a convenient place to buy groceries that you need last minute in rural areas which are populated. Good selection, self checkout available. Popular place for beer and cigarettes.

Came by today and front doors were locked during normal business hours. Could not purchase what I came there for. They missed out on about 10-15 customers so far in the past 10 minutes I’ve been here. Not a good look for the business.

The store at thompson nursery rd is an absolute disgrace to our neighborhood. Parking lot is trashed all over with weeds everywhere. A beautiful fire station and property right next door is nice but your store looks like a slum

I got what I needed which was great but when I accidentally left my umbrella, I left only for like 5 minutes and had to go back only to find out someone stole my umbrella, great store just wish I didn't leave my umbrella

They have extensive supply of grocery items also fresh fruit and vegetables, propane and ice, health and beauty, toys, craft supplies and stationary.

I come here often as this is my neighboring store and honestly the lack of customer service is ridiculous. I won’t say that it’s all employees because some are very nice to me each time I shop, however, there is one woman in particular that has the nastiest attitude. She’s short, not sure if she is black or maybe Afro Latina usually has her hair straightened, but you’ll know who it is immediately from her attitude. She’s been rude to myself and my mother in the past and I did nothing. However, after today, I just thought it got to the point of ridiculousness. I watched her stand there and all but mock a woman, just because she wanted to make sure a coupon was working and that she was saving her money and in the end whatever the woman rung up, she did it wrong anyway, she was blatantly rude to this woman and every time I see her she acts like she doesn’t want to be there . It’s not that hard to have a nice attitude especially when someone’s not being rude to you. Everyone is short staffed. Everyone is working long hours but that does not give you the right to be nasty

The cashier and the male manager have absolutely no idea about basic elementary math, as with adding, subtracting and multiplying when it comes to discount. They definitely need to go back to complete their Math class( it's obvious they've skipped class that day)In addition to this, they are also rude due to the fact that they're the ones that make the mistake, made me waste 25 minutes of my time and after that, not even an apology except for an attitude. Before anything else, I'm not pointing fingers to anyone but I would like for this to get corrected for the sake of the business.

I hate this store. Old lady with purple hair always outside smoking. I had to find workers on floor help cause lady don't know what she doing always outside. If wasn't for two girl on floor working at 1:45 pm. I wouldn't had help. Sickening. Got so upset. Pull off with my trunk up. Everytime lady work u turn around walk out

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but this is the best way to help my extended family at the Dollar General. For those of you who know me, I always strive to help others, give the best advice I can, and be one hundred percent real and honest, even though it sometimes offends others at that time, but later, they realize it was honest and only to help them. So, with that being said, I will tell you the truth about the Ruby Lake Dollar General. Randy, the store manager, has many years of experience under his belt,as well as being old school like myself and continuously going like the Energizer bunny for his entire shift. Only thing is, his battery doesn't die. Jessica, absolutely the same way, and, ironically, a perfectionist like myself, some call it extreme OCD, I call it being organized, clean, and always knowing where things are. She can take any section, anywhere in that store completely apart, and when she is finished resetting it, it is more perfect than a picture on the wall. Nina, at the register is a win win situation. Seventy five, sorry Nina, old school, doesn't stand back there texting her high school sweetheart. When there is not a customer to check out, she can sure as the day is long, be found stocking a shelf somewhere. I greatly apologize for the next two employees because they are new, I have talked to them,saw their work ethic, but forgot their names. I will write again, when I remember, but, they are always out and about looking for something else to conquer when no one is at the register. Attitude, friendly, helpful,etc... Straight A's across the board. Of course, what can I say about Becca, the new assistant manager, I first met her in Whaneta Dollar General, and there is a woman that for all of us who are healthy and have two arms should be looking up to and following her as a perfect example. I kid you not, this woman works harder than most of the young generation that I have seen today,who have two arms. It's truly amazing. I often wonder if she knows that she only has one arm. Lol. Folks, with the recent remodel, they carry an entire wall of refrigerated foods now, a fresh fruit and vegetable case, many more new items and to a lot of people's surprise, better prices then the big W. If you know what store I am talking about, not to mention, having to take a bus to get to the other side of the store. They are all great employees, but most of all, great people, that are willing to help you, just ask. They are also, the kind of people that I am proud to call my friends and extended family.
