Dr Markwardt and Dr Nadler are amazing. We have slowly been moving our fur crew over from another vet and we have received the very best care from the front office staff, to the doctors, they are all amazing. Our cat recently had what we considered to be an emergency, they made us feel so cared for and were so accommodating. I’m so happy we found WOVH at Hamlin.

We take our dog here and have always received the most amazing and thorough care from everyone. The receptionists are kind and welcoming, and they have a sign they put on the desk for the office to stay quiet when somebody is saying goodbye to their pet ❤️We’ve seen Dr Kasad the most but one time we had to take our dog in and he was in surgery so we got a lovely vet who was just as amazing - I wish I could remember her name. Very kind with blonde hair. The vet tech, I believe his name is Rob, is wonderful as well.My dog hates the vet but they all take time to make her comfortable. They sit on the floor with her, throw treats, and give her gentle pets during the exam. She is still not a fan of going, but she is less anxious and doesn’t cry at this one.I couldn’t be more thankful to the entire team at the Hamlin location for their compassion and excellence!

Such a refreshing experience! I have an overly energetic one year old Miniature Golden Doodle. At my previous vet that I went to in the area for the past year, there was not a time that I left after a visit without crying because of how my vet and the techs made me feel. Here at WOVH, the vet got down on her knees to greet and check out my dog, waited for correct behavior before interacting with him, and used positive reinforcement with preferred treats. The entire staff made me feel like my dog was welcome and understood that he is still learning correct behaviors out in the community. Exceptional vet care and customer services. The vet always explains all my options and everything in laymen’s terms for what my dog may need next. Extremely happy with my switch! We love Dr Markwardt! Thank you!

What a terrible place! This is a joke of an office. I brought my dog in who had a swollen throat, and could not breathe. The receptionist looked at me like I had a third eye, while my dog was literally choking and breathing loudly and clearly struggling. All of the other clients around could tell it was an emergency, and she took the time to get up from her chair. Go to the back and tell me that the vet was busy in an appointment. She also kept telling us to wait outside. Thinking the dog had kennel cough when I was telling her he has a lump on his throat and a swollen face. We asked if that appointment the vet was in was an emergency and she said no. Then, she goes back inside and tell us to go around to the back where a tech will meet us to examine the dog. We went out to the back. No one was there. We waited five minutes with our dog, struggling to breathe, and no one came out. I don’t know what kind of vet this is but this was very neglectful and Sad. I do not recommend this place at all.We are now at a legitimate vet clinic, and my dog had an emergency, and they took care of him right away with injections in emergency care! Do not go here! They don’t care!

The only issue I’ve ever had, is due to scheduling conflicts I had to change my appointment, come to find out I needed a later time, so I called back to change it again 30 minutes later, the receptionist said we close at 1 for lunch, I said oh, ok we can schedule it after lunch, she abruptly replied “nope, it’s changed to 12:30 bye! That was it. Other than that the office has always been pleasant and very caring, I have Husky who van be very stubborn, all have been patient with her. My girl is the only pet I know of that is now super excited to go to vet!

UPDATE: The owner of the practice reached out and addressed my concerns and let me know that my experience with the tech was not an isolated incident and that the situation has been corrected. So kudos for WOVH for reaching out. I’m a big believer in it’s more important how you handle things when things go sideways so I’m changing my stars to 5.We’ve brought our dog Loki here since we moved to the area. Care has been ok but today as I sit in the room waiting for the vet I’ve made the decision not to ever come back. Vet tech was rude and standoffish. I felt from the second she walked into the room I was bothering her. Hey if you don’t like your job, find another one! Would not engage my dog at all. Even tried to hand me the cue tips to swab my dogs ears because he was jumping around.

New veterinary hospital in Horizon West. Great staff, great techs, and great doctors. I brought my little baby here after finding her barely alive just before hurricane Ian hit. Kimberly was so helpful to my little "Miss Lazy" and even though there are other vets closer to me, I choose to stay with WOVH Hamlin. Thank you all!

The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our dog Luna is a difficult dog and does not like to be handled. She has had multiple treatments, and is always taken in with care. The service Luna has received and customer service we have received is great. I would highly recommend West Orange Veterinary Hospital, they have three locations in the area to accommodate your pets needs.

I took my corgi here for her annual visit. It was really easy to schedule my appointment and everyone was very friendly when we arrived. Dr. Schrank was great and took time to make our nervous corgi feel a little bit at ease. The office is brand new and very clean. There is also plenty of parking. Another reason why I chose this practice is that they have two other locations; it's nice to have options in case of an emergency.

Beautiful new office in Hamlin. I ended up taking my puppy here because her vet could not get her in and she was having an immediate problem that I needed her seen for. The office is beautiful, parking is easy to find, the staff is all super nice, and the doctor was very willing to answer as many questions as I wanted. About a week or so later my pup ended up having another emergency need and they were able to get her into one of their other locations same day no problem. I will say, from that experience, I did feel like they didn't seem to 100% know what to do. My dog broke her leg and they wanted to do some crazy healing process that could take months. From having dogs my entire life, I've always known surgery as the form of fixing this issue, so I was taken aback by this suggestion of coming back every 3 days for new bandages and this lasting for possibly months. The vet hinted at seeing a specialist but didn't really suggest it, when other vets I've seen would have always said to go to the specialist right away. Perhaps it was her way of saying it, but she kept saying it in such a weird way that it felt like she wasn't even allowed to suggest it. I did end up taking her to the specialist and they did immediate surgery with a recovery period of 3-6 weeks, no bandages, etc. Before going WOAH kept trying to get me to bandage her leg and get take home meds, which I kept explaining made no sense since the specialist would take off the bandage and also probably give her meds. I'm only taking 1 star off for this because I'm not sure if it was all for money or if it was just inexperience. I will say that experience though did leave me wondering if this was the right place for us. Further, their prices are a bit higher than some of the other vets around. When I paid the first bill I immediately noticed the price difference but felt it was ok given they could take me right away and how nice the place was. However, I was trying to book my pup's spaying and the quote was outrageous. I ended up talking to a friend that worked at a local vet office, asking around, even contacting a vet back home out of state before trying to reconcile with the price. Eventually I decided to book with her original vet since he had glowing reviews and was half the cost just down the road. This included all the same things they would be including and doing, so I'm really unsure why they are up charging so much. They even were up charging the exact same microchip. So again, I'm keep the star off because I do feel they may be overpricing and taking a bit of advantage of their clients there.
