Never in my life have i went to a Venue where the venue associates are rude disrespectful and micromanaging the event. This is suppose to be the happiest day of my friends life and she gets called a little kid by Tamara IN FRONT OF ALL HER GUEST. guess what the guest talked about for the next couple days because of your associate? I highly do not recommend this place. If you want to feel threatened and be in a hostile environment, this is the venue for you!

Tanner Hall is absolutely beautiful. I hosted my pre-wedding Mehendi night here. However, I had the worst experience with the attendant, Tamara. She was extremely rude to my family and vendors. She told us we were all set to leave, then on the way out complained that we left a mess. So my bridal party went back in to clean up. While cleaning up she yelled at us, she even went as far as to tell me “little girl don’t talk to me you have work to do.” I nearly left my first wedding event in tears. Additionally, as far as I know she has not been reprimanded by management for her actions. If you book here make sure you request that Tamara NOT work your event, unless you want to be yelled at.

Recently got married here. We had our ceremony out back behind Little Tanner Hall and our reception inside of Tanner Hall. Can't recommend this place enough. The staff was great throughout the entire process and so easy to work with. Also a great price!!

We had my daughter's wedding and reception at Newton Park / Tanner Hall on February 3, 2024.We had the ceremony outdoors in front of Little Hall - looking out toward the lake and the white bridge. It was the perfect location for our 165 guests with an absolutely gorgeous view.In addition to renting Tanner Hall for the reception, we also rented Little Hall for the bridemaids to use before the ceremony. They had their hair and makeup done and had lunch in Little Hall. It was very convenient.Tanner Hall is a great place for a reception. We used the outdoor patio for the cocktail hour. The hall has recently been renovated with new carpet and paint and a beautiful chandelier. There was ample room in the hall for our 165 guests, the buffet tables, 2 bars, a DJ booth, and a photo booth. There is also a nice sized dance floor. The city staff worked well with our wedding coordinators, and the evening was fantastic!

Tanner Hall was affordable, well maintained, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. Kamilla made the process so easy. She was a pleasure to work with and extremely professional from start to finish. I'd recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful venue to accommodate up to 200 guests with an amazing location. Thank you so much for your professionalism. We'll be using this venue again.

We had a baby shower there recently. Let me start with the positives, there are many. The staff I spoke with was professional and friendly. The outdoor is amazing: the water and trees. The view from inside looking at the backyard is beautiful. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The kitchen kinda small but very clean with a big sink. The price is good for the location. It has a dance floor so you can do your thing?Neutral from perspective: located in a neighborhood. The street is pretty.Negatives would be the carpet, no direct access to the outdoors from the the back of the building, and the building looks a bit outdated. It's a big long room with no separations.

Tanner Hall was absolutely beautiful. We payed for Tanner Hall from 5pm-11pm with then an hour included for cleanup after. We also rented Little Hall to use as a bridal suit from 3pm-11pm which also included an hour after for clean up. Kamilla Udit was the name of the person who always answered the emails with my questions. She was very fast to respond to all my questions. She sent a reminder the week that the layout was due for both venues, which leads me to my next point- As long as you give them the layout a week in advance they will set up all the chairs and tables where you want. They have plenty of chairs and tables for indoor seating. (We did have to rent chairs for outdoor seating for the ceremony itself.) When we arrived day of the setup was exactly what I had drawn out. They usually show Tanner Hall and Little Hall a couple times a week in the evening as long as there's no event happening. I emailed ahead a few times to make sure there was no event and got to tour both halls a few times. We also met with the DJ the week of at the venue. It was easy to gain access to in order to take photos and video so that everyone in the wedding party could see it ahead of time. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of stalls. There's also plenty of normal parking and handicapped parking around the two halls. Tanner Hall itself is very pretty. The dance floor is in the middle and I really liked that because it made it easier for everyone to see the first dance and such. Best of all, you get to use your own venders, so we were able to pick our own catering. (A lot of venues make you use their official caterer and that price definitely adds up.) Overall it was a great experience. I'd HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful but cost effective venue. (This venue was by far the cheapest I found. A lot of venues cost my entire budget for the wedding.) The gazebo outside comes with the rental of Tanner Hall so that's where we held the ceremony. There's also a beautiful oak three that I was told some people use for the ceremony. We decided on the gazebo because there's a sidewalk leading up to it and I figured that would be easier for our grandparents to walk on during the procession in. I emailed ahead to ask if we could set up outside prior to our rental and was told that was fine, so we had the chairs for the ceremony delivered at 2pm. The ONLY bad mark for this place was the woman who was there day of to keep an eye on things. When the reception was over my husband and I left and a few members of my bridal party stayed to clean. We had things mostly cleaned by that point too. (We had a team of four people there during the reception that we paid to clean up trash as people finished eating and things of that nature.) So as some people left early that team of four cleaned up the tables and such. The gifts and a lot of other things were already packed up and ready to be moved to cars. The food was all collected and just needed to be loaded into a car. So for the most part, when we did the send-off, most of the venue was already clean. One of my bridesmaids told me that after we left the lady was yelling at people asking who was going to clean. The bridesmaid tried telling her that it was taken care of and she and a few others were going to clean the last of it, but the woman was still freaking out about who would clean and the deposit only gets returned if the place is cleaned. My bridesmaid also tried asking her a few times what all needed to be done for her to consider it "clean" because she wanted to know if they needed to vacuum or anything. But the woman just kept freaking out about who was cleaning. She even yelled at a random guest who was not part of the bridal party nor was responsible to clean after to start cleaning. And I was also told that she was mad at the DJ for using a room to store things in that he was told he was allowed to use. That's why I took off a few stars for professionalism. If my bridesmaid was clearly telling her that there was a plan for the clea

Booked the Little hall venue for a baby shower , which is ran by and overseen by the same people as Tanner hall. The location and price was worth the money, the person in the office Kamila was courteous . The venue is perfect for a small sized crowd. BUT MAKE SURE YOU DON`T HAVE ANY MINOR MISHAPS HAPPEN AND YOUR EVENT GOES PERFECTLY, OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE NO HELP IN RELATIONS TO THE BUILDING! On the day of the baby shower, there was an overseer assigned by the name of Debbie. She appeared COLD and RUDE after I asked her politely if there were any additional chairs available since I counted 22 chairs she stated No , I said my contract says I am allowed 35 (I have it documented) , she stated that is all we have . I overlooked it because I did not want to ruin the mood . She gave me a number to contact her if I had questions , she never picked up the phone not once. My event was to end at 8pm, she showed up in front of guests at 8pm and said in front of them its time to end (she could have pulled me outside) if she had the decorum. How did she know we were not ending the event, she asked no questions? I tried to reach her LITERALLY ONE MIN 8:01pm to inform her of what was going on after that NO reply its like she disappeared in 1 min (ignoring the phone calls) .Once again she showed up threatening to call police mins after the phone call that she didn't reply to, asked no questions once again. I have no issues with her wanting to end the event at all !. The issue was the RUDE UNPROVOKED behavior and lack of assistance in front of guests.

We just had our wedding at Tanner Hall on April 29 and it was perfect. Beautiful venue. All of our guests enjoyed it. very spacious and the view is amazing! With the hours, you get what you pay for so do not expect to start decorating at 2 if you have the hall contracted at 4. They will open the doors at 4pm.
