“I have nothing but good things to say about this bank. The day I walked in, I wasn't even planning to open an account there, but I was treated with such care and respect that I just knew this was the place to be.
Travis helped me open my account, and explained everything to me clearly. He even called me a few days later to check and see that everything was going well with my account. (I've never had that happen.)
Fast forward to yesterday, when a check from another institution bounced and caused quite a few issues with my Ameris Bank account. The phone center was unable to help me understand the situation, and did not see the problem (not their fault).
I went after work today and Loreta and Travis took the time to listen and unravel my concerns and talked through how upset I was. Travis investigated my account-and he REMEMBERED me and didnt even have to ask my name. He made a phone call and was able to find out the problem and restore my account to the status it should be in.
I knew that Ameris Bank is where I should have my account, even the lion logo (Lion of Judah, y'all!), but today confirms it more.
I left in tears of relief.
I don't want corporate banking. I want a place who cares.

“So I walked in today and was acknowledged almost immediately by a very kind and attentive lady Michelle, She invited me to her office to help me with my concerns,we actually shared stories about ourselves as she pulled up my information. “What an absolute pleasure to do business at this location. A complete 180° from my experience at the E Silverstar Rd location. I was greeted and treated so kindly. My checking account was closed unexpectedly due to "suspicious activity" (whatever that means). After calling the number they told me to multiple times, trying to get in touch with someone who could give me information, no one was able to give me any information as to why the account was closed. I went to the E Silverstar Rd branch to see if someone at the branch could give me more information, but they treated me like an inconvenience and again could not give me information, and told me to call a number and told me they could unlock my account. When I called the number, they told me they couldn't unlock my account and treated me very rudely. When going to this location in Winter Garden, everyone was so kind and helpful to me and they even called to find out more information for me. I would recommend this branch to anyone.”
“I have had this bank for years, & this has always been my go to branch. Whenever I go in they are always friendly no matter who I see, and they always recognize me (even when I don't recognize them) and ask about my parents. On multiple occasions they have given me invaluable advice and talked me through sticky situations, always bending over backwards to help me get what I need, which sometimes includes them coming up with creative solutions. Super friendly and knowledgeable people, great to go to not only for banking but also for learning about anything money related. Fifth third app is also great and very user friendly.”
“They are a great credit union. We have had a home loan a refi and two cars and a motorhome financed with them. When we wanted to make an offer on a motorhome in San Diego, they gave us the Cashiers Check to take us. Try that with BofA. The negative feed back I see posted here may be due to customers with bad credit blaming PCU instead of themselves. Twenty years of being a very satisfied customer.”
