“Very pleasant experience handling an insurance rental. My insurance confirmed the reservation but marked it for 24 hours in advance. I was able to stop by early and secure a vehicle. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly. I had to call to get clarification on something two days later, and Brooke was fantastic over the phone and very helpful. It’s rare to find good customer service these days, but it is apparent that this location goes above and beyond in putting the customer first!”

“I had the most outstanding rental experience working the Avis team! From beginning to end, and it was quite a ride.

I first contacted them over the phone, as I wanted to check the prices prior to visiting the store. JR, whom I had seen mentioned in plenty reviews, truly provided me great customer service and shared with me the rates and all the necessary information about renting it. When I was at the store, which was immaculately clean, I was able to meet with him and he was even kinder. He truly is concerned about the experience of his guests, alongside his wife, Maria, who works by his side. He was able to offer an amazing deal, on a brand new, electric vehicle, which I had never driven before. Also, he is the proud father of a UCF alumni, and it was wonderful to engage in that conversation and see how the Orlando community comes together.

The vehicle was, again, brand new, super clean (inside and out), navigated smoothly and super safe. As it was my first time driving electric, I did run out of battery as I was about to charge it (less than 0.2 mile away from the charging station). Nevertheless, when I called for assistance, they sent a tow car within 30 minutes, and stayed with me on the phone for as long as I felt safe. A stressful time with was handled respectfully and smoothly.

Lastly, I would highly recommend adding the “unlimited toll” feature to your rental. It is only $12.99 a day, if not mistaken, and saves a lot of time and money - particularly for someone like myself, who drove to Miami and back on the Florida Turnpike.

Honestly, 10 out of 10 experience. Will certainly be returning to this store and recommending Avis worldwide. Thank you JR and Maria! I’ll see you soon!”

“Well the customer service was lackluster. I made my reservation online. I get to the Hotel and the workers didn't ask for any information. I told them my name and a guy handed me a set of keys and said your in parking spot #8!!! THAT WAS IT!
I requested a SUV however they gave me a 2024 Cadillac CT4!! Very easy process I just hope they don't try to charge me for dents and scratches since they didn't walk out with me to view the car which all other rental places do. Overall I would rent with them again.”

“I needed assistance from the agency of this hotel because I had reserved my car AVIS 30min walk from this agency and I wanted to know if it was possible to change. The person (I don't have the name of the lady who received me) was really helpful and did everything she could to help me as it was an agency from another "district". Unfortunately it didn't work out, but I would like to thank her again for the TOP service she gave me (visit on Thursday morning, September 21).In the end it wasn't too bad, because after a short walk I was able to get the car I'd chosen in the UNIVERSAL "Hilton" hotel, with very good service too!”

“When I first arrived at the Universal’s Dockside Resort, I scoffed a bit thinking, “Who would need a rental car after they already got to the hotel?” Well, turns out me.Due to unforeseen weather circumstances, we had a sudden change of plans, and having an Avis rental site on the property turned out to be a remarkable convenience. Kirsten, who was the only person working the counter at the time, takes an obvious pride in her work, and works hard to provide a good customer experience. Since I was a walk up, my rental process took a little longer than normal. She had two scheduled appointments during the time we were talking that she honored and took care of efficiently. When she could fully dedicate her attention to me, she personally walked me out to my car to show me where it was parked, and to see if it met my hopes for the day. After that, we walked back to the desk to finish up the paperwork. Including the two “interruptions”, the whole process took a little less than an hour.The car was clean and well-maintained. It was an EV vehicle and operated perfectly. So nice to not have to worry about filling it up with gas before bringing it back. Since I returned the car after the Avis desk hours, I simply dropped the key with one of the resort front desk staff. Check-in was completed the following morning and I received my final receipt which matched what was originally quoted.I have personally had some really bad car rental experiences in the recent past, so I can appreciate what some of the other reviewers here have said. My experience happened to be excellent. Kirsten did seem to have to struggle with Avis computer systems quite a bit on a number occasions. (Additionally, I had to call the following day to make sure the check-in process has been completed as I have not received the final receipt. Again, Kirsten answered the telephone and within a couple minutes I had my email receipt.) It’s not her fault, I’m guessing it’s something with Avis systemically. I hope the Avis higher-ups can see this, and the frustrations stated elsewhere this page, and get that figured out, because you’ve got some really good people working behind the counter who deserve better support.”
