“A nice restful place this time of year. Not too hot. Quiet, contemplative. They are doing some renovations now, but nature programs will begin in a few months. Check their schedules. The have trails, mangroves, boating lakes, a lookout tower, etc.”
“Clean, friendly staff, and big selections. Just disappointing on stocking, as quite a few items will be sold out for days and their deli/hot food area seems understaffed. Their sub stations vary on available people (causing big lines), their dipping sauces are regularly out of stock, some sandwiches aren’t in stock (no meatballs, missing sauces, waiting on slicing meats, etc).
But overall they’re my preferred Publix due to size and location and quality products. Just some room for improvement.”

“I love love love Key Foods. It is a smaller version of Publix. Exceptional customer service. Jam packed with a variety of shelf goods, frozen goods, deli and even a bakery serving up Cuban coffee and pastries. Very well appointed ground provisions section. Never out of stock with both local and exotic fruits. Always the freshest seafood and a wide selection of meats - not your typical supermarket selection. Which puts them in the number one spot to shop for such items.
There’s always staff available to help in the aisles. I call them soldiers or men in black. They’re well dressed, all in black, and wear earphones for communication with other staff members. When I tell you they’re very polite, attentive and eager to assist, they are. The cashiers are friendly as well. A1 ❤️
It is a neighborhood supermarket located on Johnson street just west of i95.

“Great shopping experience and absolutely worth your money!! I was born and raised in Germany, here you find the best food products you crave for. German weeks have all the products you grow up with... Besides a great choice of anything else you need.. very reasonable prices any given time. Today I found pumpernickel bread, Rotkohl, Erdnuss Flips, and special Italian salami (one piece to cut yourself) for an extraordinary price. Real Gouda cheese for half the Publix price .. I Love Aldi's for everyday purchases... Go check it out yourself!!! On top of it the staff there is amazing, helpful, friendly and always there to assist...”
“My sister & I just left Publix during our lunch time to grab a Sub. While in line, a woman took her phone & took a picture of me & my sister while carrying her baby because she thinks the tube dress she was wearing was inappropriate. And she shouldnt be dress like that with a daughter. She was going to send it to a group chat with her friends to laugh. NOT KNOWING THAT MY SISTER JUST HAD SURGERY & NOT ABLE TO PUT TIGHT FITTING CLOTHES AT THIS TIME. Also, its been 100° outside lately. There was a staff name "RINA" who saw the woman, she approached the woman to delete it and reported it to her Manager. Rina stopped us outside while heading to the car & she informed us what happened. She shared that she did not want to tell us in the store so she wouldn't cause confrontation between both parties. But she reported to the manager & watch the woman deleted it

“A l d i was unusual I have never been in the store they were lots of pallets with things on it in bulk I didn't know that you needed a quarter for the wagons but they will give it to you in the store I asked someone you know for some information and they were very helpful and there's a lot of good deals and some not so good deals but overall I would say the place is better than shopping at Publix for sure no doubt about it anyway I will go back I would recommend everybody try it it's different unusual but during these times of severe inflation and high interest rates it's a great place to go! I recommend it and I will be going back Elliot”

While I've noticed a shift in the quality and shopping experience at some Publix stores over the years, my recent visit to the Pompano Shopping Center location was a delightful and nostalgic reminder of the Publix I've always known and loved.
The Pompano Shopping Center location, which was rebuilt a little over a decade ago, is a shining example of the Publix brand. It showcases notable improvements over the older prototypes, with a recent refresh that stands out. The store's impressively clean and well-organized layout sets it apart.
The deli section is a highlight, featuring a fresh and well-stocked salad bar with various toppings and dressings. The hot bar also offers a range of delicious options, from comfort foods to healthier choices, making grabbing a quick and satisfying meal easy. The team's commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and service is evident here. Also, the covered parking instantly adds to the store's appeal.
The Publix at Pompano Shopping Center location is a shining example of what makes Publix a beloved staple in Florida. I highly recommend this Publix. It might restore your faith in the Publix experience and become your go-to location.”
“Price Choice is my go-to supermarket when I need ethnically-focused produce and meats that Publix or Winn-Dixie are unwilling to stock. Produce turnover must be pretty high at Price Choice because it's always fresh when I shop, and their price points are lower too. The butcher section has goat meat, whole oxtails, whole turkey necks, whole pigs feet, whole chickens, etc. Get the picture? They serve in the order of people waiting, and will cut the meat however you want it sliced. The fishmonger also has a larger selection that you'd find at the mainline supermarkets. While the aisles are narrow, and the goods piled sky-high, at least there is a variety and an attempt to serve their target market. For example, one whole row of different rice varieties and brands! While there are other Price Choice markets in South FL, it seems they are all independently owned and operated, with their own weekly sales flyers. Luckily this one is east of 95 and not terribly far from me.”
