I was fairly close to checking out with a cashier in this Dollar Tree today when I see the, “self check out” option and elected to use it (my mistake). As I get halfway done checking out my five items the machine stops and asks for a management code. Neither of the two cashiers stops in between customers to help or even acknowledge my presence so I get back in line. As another customer attempts to use this machine and fails, the cashier chooses to check her out as she knowingly jumps in front me (shame on you lady, and be careful doing this as others may not be so forgiving) and walks to the register. I will never shop in this store again. Management, please do not allow customers to use these self checkout machines if there is no one to assist as needed. The cashiers were knowingly rude, their service was horrible, and neither thanked me as I checked out or left the store.

My wife and I just arrived in The Villages Florida. We shop a lot at Dollar Tree stores. We were looking for a Dollar Tree in our new home. I went to The Dollar Tree at 5977 E County Rd 462, Wildwood, FL 34785. I found a lot of items I was looking for were not in stock. I went to the checkout, my purchase was processed, and I was issues a receipt. I had been overcharged. I had not left the counter, the items had just been put in the bag, and I had a receipt in hand. I told the cashier I had been overcharged. He told me that "There was nothing he could do about it." I am 73 years old. This is the only time I have been overcharged and the store could not "do anything about it." I was there on 10/10/2023 around 4:30 PM Est. The person that took care of me was a male. He was on the first cash register. Prior to taking care of me he was yelling at other Dollar Tree employees. I told him that there was something I could do about it. I laid everything on the counter, pushed it toward him, told him to keep it, left, and will not be back. Moreover, I intend to tell others how I was treated. This is the first time I have been this disappointed at a Dollar Tree. I will spread the word. Dollar Tree just saved a $1 refund but purchased a lot of adverse word-of-mouth advertisements.

I've really come to love shopping here but i have two hiccups.. When I needed help leaving since you, for some reason, don't have automatic doors, an employee was standing right outside of the door smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone and neglected to help. Second, it's not convenient getting your carts into the parking lot. The sidewalk drops but at the end. Why isn't it at the front, where the doors are?Getting there..

Watch out for a manager named Melissa. Very rude, unprofessional, yells at customers, scares her staff, and follows you and your child out of store taking photos. She is pretty confident with herself admits to hanging up on customers and has expired product on shelves and denies it when you tell her. She is ready to fight rather than have an adult conversation and if she doesn't like what you say....well expect retaliation. It was so bad I am contemplating contacting the media because this has happened on more than one occasion.

Sales clerk was loud and very rude. I was exchanging and he yelled when I put receipt and return product on platform. Then told me I had to put return product back in bag that was not my job. He should not be in public representing the store.
