Gulf coast electric coop is the worst power grid I’ve ever seen in my life every time we get any kind of rain or thunderstorms the power goes out and lord knows how long it will be out . I’ve called Angie in the office to report the issue and all I hear is it’s a high area for lighting but if this is such a problem why isn’t the problem solved instead of bandaided . We have 4 small children in our home and elderly neighbors and being without power really isn’t an option I wish we had a different provider because this is outrageous . Also we are in the bear creek area in case someone decides to fix the issue but it looks like solar is the best option .

Just found out there is going to raise the cost of electricity. How about instead of raising the cost the ceo and trustees take a 10%pay cut to help cover the price of electric.

Used to have Gulf Power when I lived in PCB, and I could always find details if the power was out like when it was estimated to be restored. Gulf Coast Electric does not provide any information on when power will be restored. We are in one of the coldest days this winter, and our power has been out since 6:30 AM for at total of 4hrs so far. Still no estimate for the power to be restored. I have not been impressed over the past 3 years that we have been using Gulf Coast Electric Coop. I wish Gulf Power would expand to Southport.

Power goes off too often! We live 6 miles north of Port St. JOE. Is it an infrastructure problem?

Called in because power is out. Get laughed at for just asking how long it will be off for. Horrible customer service.

They should admit n cover mistakes they make on ur bill instead of bullying an old woman 6 months later to pay back their mistake plus late fees...n just be all around rude. critical confrontational n unapologetic...so much so I want to sue for damages.

Incredibly rude customer service personnel- I realize workers are hard to come by but the witch in the office does not deserve a job dealing with the public. Just ask her she makes it very clear that she HATES dealing with those of us paying her salary

I hope that everyone that calls has the same experience as I did. I recently called the customer service in Gilmer county Georgia to get power to a property and it was shameful at best. The customer service at AEMC was honestly embarrassing. its like I inconvenienced them with my call. a week later I find myself having to call gulf county dreading the interaction with them because of my previous one in my home town. to my surprise Kristin went so far out of her way to help me I was caught off guard. I can't thank her enough for making it so easy and pleasant. to be honest, this is only my second review of my life but I thought it important to leave it. if only all company could have someone as proactive. thank you again for your help.

GCEC has been my electricity provider for 23+ years. They have faithfully provided outstanding service from the beginning, and never once let me down. The overwhelming effort they made to restore power to the county as quickly as possible was amazing, and very much appreciated! Clearly, Guild Coast Electric Cooperative is a company that is operated by people of integrity!

We have been here since November and every week we loose power. It’s beginning to cause serious issues with my job. I really wish they would fix this being I’m paying every month for storm damage fees that apparently aren’t fixed.
