Two times in a row waiting over an hour for a car (why don't they have enough cars ready for the scheduled reservations?) and 20 minutes for the shuttle bus. Going to have to switch companies going forward. You get what you pay for.

Edit: It seems Thrifty did return the overage without contacting us? We only learned about the refund when going through our transactions to submit our charge back claim. Raising review to 2 stars because this was still a huge unnecessary hassle; original review below.I want to discourage, in the strongest possible terms, anyone from doing business with this company. We booked a rental through Expedia at $30 per day for the manager's special electric car. At pickup, the desk agent falsely stated the car will not reach our destination 20 miles away, and said we would need to upgrade to a gas car.We were charged an additional $20/day, making a rental for a mid-size Toyota cost over $50 a day. According to Thrifty's own site the price for that exact car for the exact same days is $32. When I called their billing department they told me this would all be resolved after we return the car, but then after the rental I call and they say there is nothing they can do about the additional ~$300 charge?Thrifty looks like the cheapest option because they are the cheapest option, and you get what you pay for. Pay an extra $10 a day to do business with literally any other company, and save yourself hours of fighting with an inept billing department that will charge you more than the next most expensive rental company anyway.

The attention of the manager Ara and the customer service lady Jamie when faced with a request from a client regarding his rental car that had a mechanical problem leaves a lot to be said, I think this office would work better under the management of someone else that you have a better way to resolve unforeseen events that may happen to your clients. Please, if you don't want to have a bad time, DO NOT rent at this Thrifty/Dollar office.

Please take a minute and check with them about your reservation when you get off the plane. We waited in line longer for the reservation than the flight was and then they were out of cars. And it would also be a nice change if there was a magnet or sign that says a car is unavailable or that the keys are lost instead of putting a windshield wiper up.

I made a reservation at Thrifty PBI for Oct. 14 at 4pm. I arrived on time, but the woman at the counter was asleep. I stood there for a while and made a noise to wake her up. I guess I in startled her as she started to have an attitude. She said my reservation was for an electric car and I said I didn't know that and there was NOTHING she could do. So, I told her to cancel it and I made another reservation on the phone for a non eclectic car. Then she says, I still have to take an electic car because that's what the special is for today and if you want a gas car, it would wait over an hour. So, I walked away and cancel the reservation. So, now I made a reservation with Dollar and walk up to the Dollar counter and I heard her say "Here he is again and don't wait on him" and the Dollar guy says he's taking a break and she said "get a shuttle and get out of here and leave us alone and talk to someone over there". Then she leaves me standing there like an idiot and goes in the back room. Is that a way to treat a customer who has used Thrifty for over 30 years? I ended up going with Budget and they treated me like a KING. GOODBYE THRIFTY.

I received a vehicle that appeared to be damage free. The front bumper came loose. I noticed that the front bumper was held together with glue. I pointed it out to the staff upon returning the vehicle. They said don't worry about it. Now they are trying to charge me $750.00 for an accident that never happened. No one will even pick up the phone.Thrift Manager if you read this maybe you can pick up the phone.

When I rented a car at West Palm Beach Airport, I found it rather surprising that they didn't check the fuel level and simply handed me the keys. Sensing something unusual, I took a picture of the fuel gauge to be on the safe side. Upon returning the car, I made sure it was completely filled with gas and even added a bit extra. However, to my disbelief, they still charged me an additional fee for the fuel. Can you imagine that? I had to take matters into my own hands and call them, providing my own photographic evidence to prove that I was in the right. This kind of customer service is truly mind-boggling.

This is the first time I’m leaving a company a negative review. If I could give Thrifty/Dollar/Hertz ZERO STARS, I would. Absolutely terrible experience and “customer service” (too giving to even call it that). After receiving multiple confirmation emails, we showed up to pick up the vehicle we were assured multiple times was ready & were told “it’s not ready. It’ll be 2 hours.” The man at the counter swiftly threw his hands up and said “you can either wait 2 hours or cancel. Whatever you want I don’t care.” They wouldn’t help us in ANY way and the female manager was just the same. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to my worst enemy.

Standard operation. It's off the airport like all the companies seem to be at palm beach airport. Staff was friendly for pickup and delivery.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION unless you enjoy waiting for your car for 2+ hours. I had a reservation two weeks ago for a car only to show up (to a parking lot FULL of cars) and find out from a snarky, rude employee that “we have no cars available at the moment”. This condescending employee then proceeded to tell us her job was like airline and we can’t get upset if the car is delayed. I had someplace to be and could not wait over two hours for a vehicle I had a prepaid reservation for, so called an Uber. I am now still fighting to get my money back because every time Priceline calls this worthless company they refuse to pick up the phone. How is this okay? Major scam, never rent from them.

Extremely Rude staff!!!!! Waste of time waiting half and hour for the thrifty shuttle and then waiting in line to pick up the car only to be told our car wasn't available after booking a reservation weeks in advance. The sales agent was extremely rude and told us to get in line to speak to a manager. I asked that we be given another for the same price and he said me personally give you a car or the company? Also, the couple in front of us was waiting to speak to a manager because their car wasn't available either. We called an uber and never received the rental car. This place is a JOKE!!

Horrible experience. Prepaid for a vehicle, and no cars were available. Told that it would be up to 4 hours for a car. That is nearly impossible with a baby in tow. Staff was not friendly. We cancelled the reservation and went to Sixt. They had a car for us immediately. Next time, I will just rent from Sixt the first time!

Beware Thrifty and Priceline: they do not feel the need to honor reservations. This rental experience was the worst ever. We arrived at the West Palm Beach Airport with a Priceline reservation in hand for a Thrifty car rental. We were immediately told that Thrifty had no cars for us that day, said that we wouldn't be charged for our reservation, and rudely dismissed us at the counter. We not only WERE charged for the full rental amount, both Thrifty and Priceline refused to give us a refund, and had to find an Uber at over $200 one way to our destination.I have had multiple conversations with Priceline, Thrifty, and our credit card trying to remove this charge, to no avail. We are upstanding people who will never use Priceline or Thrifty again.

Holiday weekend and they have one employee and 3 more empty desks. Line is 40 deep. At an average rate of 15 minutes per customer this should only take 4 hours to get a rental car. Never again.
