Do not use Thrifty if you can avoid it. They charged us 120.00 for gas after we returned the car fully fueled. We were forced to pay for an upgrade if we didn't want an electric vehicle (despite booking through Priceline and having nothing mentioned about an EV). When we got our car it reeked of marijuana and the staff seemed put out that we were requesting a new car, despite us having a young baby. Their business seems to be purposefully vague and confusing so as to get as much money as they can out of you. It is impossible to get through to customer service and talk to a real person. Pay up front more for a legit car rental place and avoid this headache.

You will have a heck of a time trying to find the return, the signs are not clear! Pin your location when you pick it up!

Do yourself a favor and do not rent from this company. I booked a car for $250, and after turning it in they charged me $450, and there's no way to reach them by phone to complain or fix this errant charge. If you give them your credit card number, you are at their mercy (and the seem to have no mercy). I've never had such a problem with their competition (Dollar, Budget, etc.)

The worst! I cancelled my reservation, 3rd party never got notified. I keep callin to request proof and they cannot help me. Save yourself a headache! Go elsewhere! Just horrible & unprofessional! I suggest going somewhere else where they actually try to help you instead of sending you to call other numbers and select options that do not even exist. Oh and the contact us form online. A joke! I sent 3 requests for a call back. No responses. Beyond disappointed and annoyed!

Two hour check-in. Holiday weekend and only one person at the desk. She got out and went on lunch break leaving a long line of people waiting. In line almost an hour and when we were finally checked in (we did everything online in advance too), waited 40 minutes for our car to pull up which never happened. All the employees in the lot were walking like they were taking a nice relaxing stroll while there were lines of people waiting for cars. Unbelievable! Everyone super frustrated. Finally I went back inside to see what the heck was going on and they told us to just go pick any car in the “gold” area which consisted of 8 malibus, a filthy KIA and another car marked “no key” We will never use Thrifty at PBI again.

This latina lady at the airport's counter needs to chill down for a while and learn how to treat people with respect. It's unbelievable that I made a 30 mins line just to talk to someone so ABUSIVE. I was just trying to find a cheap rate to rent a vehicle (I made myself VERY CLEAR from the beginning). However, she was offering me an expensive rate while I was looking at rates online that were HALF of what she was offering me, so then when I told her I would just book online and then proceed to the counter she got completely defensive and attacked and started "explaining" that I had to be careful because those could be rates for electric cars and "HERE IN FLORIDA, WE ALL MUST PAY FOR TAXES" Yes, lady I know because I am a Florida Resident so don't you come to explain me what taxes are in such a rude manner. Also, stop lying because the online booking TAXES & FEES were already included and it said "pay at the counter: zero dollars", so why are you trying to rip people off? Is it just because of a $5 or $10 dollar commission you get? Seriously, hire competent and RESPECTFUL people to talk to customers. This is unbelievable.

Shuttle diver helped load bags, so we tipped him. Had to wait for nearly an hour to get our car. Said they would call when it was ready and no call came. Husband went inside to inquire only to find it was sitting there ready to go without being told. Check in was quick and easy.

Considering how crazy prices for rental cars are these days, I paid a fair price.Only problem I had was with the front tires. They were very worn and close to bald. In addition, when the outside temperature dropped 30 degrees in a 24 hour period, the low pressure light came on for the front left tire while I was an hour away from where I was staying. The others were fine, but this should be checked before allowing the car to go out. Thankfully, my sister had a tire inflator and I added air to the one tire and it got me through the remaining rental time. I shouldn't have to do any maintenance on a rental car!!!

Terrible operation. Bad service, long wait to pick up a car (nearly an hour to clear the remote lot). I was hit with a bogus $45 cleaning charge on returning the car, apparently management's way of boosting profits. The national office dodged my complaint and refused a refund. Save yourself grief, rent a car from someone other than Thrifty/Hertz.

Don't do it! You'll be waiting forever. Got to the rental. They had no cars. Had to wait for someone to return. Most ridiculous thing ever!

I pre-paid for a rental and when I went to pick up my car there were many people angry due to the lack of vehicles and customer service. It then became obvious after talking to several people who had been there for multiple hours with no end in sight that the only way was to pay them more otherwise, no car, no refund. The manager stated that the only way to get a refund was to in writing send a letter. If you want to be held up for more money, then this is the place to go. I paid another $300 to upgrade while there were many vehicles in that class ready to be given, but not willingly given. I have photos of these vehicles, so this cannot be disputed. Otherwise I highly recommend that you stay away.
