Rip-off alert. Just for starters, I have been taking my vehicles to this location for the past two years or so. I have been very happy with the service just until recently. I've also taken my vehicles to some of their stores in different states, including North Carolina, and Ohio, and have recommended them to many of my friends and family. Now what is going on today? They normally have all of their oil change prices posted. You come in and you pick the particular type of oil change you want. They also have posted that now they have a shop charge of right around five dollars. What they don't have posted, and what is new, is that they are also charging $15 for an oil filter. This oil filter used to be included in the oil price. Now it is not. For this reason, and this reason alone, they have lost my business. The employees at this location are very nice, but you can tell their attitudes have changed since this location instituted this new charge without disclosing it up front. I avoided other oil change places like Jiffy Lube for this exact reason of not posting all of their costs.

My service advisor was great. Offered extra services without being pushy. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank youNote: the techs did a good job but should double check that the air filter box is closed properly. Mine wasn’t and on the highway I noticed a roar. Very noticeable in a very quiet Genesis sedan. It was just excessive air getting in. That said, great job. I’ll definitely be back.

If there is a 0 stars option i would leave it,i normally bring my own oil and filter so i only pay for the labor, used to be 25$ then went up to 29$. then today i went in ...After draining my oil they said it is 57$ ,I said it must be something wrong ,check my history please ,They said sorry sir never heard of that price ,they made me look like crazy, Called the manager over the phone said all prices went up ,i said it would go up by 130% in a matter of 3 months, that's something unheard off, so i called Valvoline the place across the street in the shop which is normally 10$ more with better serve, they said it is 38$ plus tax ,stay away from those guys.i am taking my business to Valvoline, I run a fleet. Also they Charge a shop fee now which i shouldn't be charged i brought my own parts.

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, but this one is necessary. I feel the time I'm investing in this feedback is important for future customers.Just beware if you take your car here. If I had not personally monitored the work and checked the service performed, my vehicle could have easily sustained catastrophic damage shortly after this service.I took my BMW X3 here for a standard oil change. During the service, I noticed the individual working on my car was improperly accessing my air filter, not reconnecting parts, and allowing hardware (like the air filter clip) to fall off without attempting to reinstall it.I had to get out of the car to ensure the clip that fell was retrieved from the engine compartment and reinstalled.I also observed that the wiring harness for the air filter sensor was not disconnected when accessing the air filter box. While attempting to reinstall the fallen clip, the service person twisted the wiring connectors, damaging the wires. (See photo)When I got home and checked my vehicle after the service, I discovered that the entire lower air intake hose to my engine was disconnected. (See photo). This could have easily allowed debris to access my engine, potentially causing catastrophic damage.I called and spoke with the Manager. The conversation was professional and insightful regarding this location's business practices, but she was unable to resolve my concerns. When I mentioned the disconnected air hose, the Manager apologized.Discussing the issue about the clips that fell off, the Manager said the service person did not see it, which I could understand. However, when I brought up the wiring harness damage and other concerns, the Manager's response was concerning. She said that with European cars, she doesn't let her techs disconnect, perform certain functions, or access items because they can be difficult to deal with. While I understand the complexity of European cars, we’re talking about a simple oil change here.I also noticed my tires weren't checked and inquired if this was part of the service (which it is). The Manager's response was, "We look at them to see if they're low.” That seemed inadequate.I asked for a refund and was offered a $25 credit, but she implied that “since I was from out of town, I probably wouldn’t be back anyway.” This was disappointing.I grew up here and have lived here most of my life. I work on vehicles for a living and typically perform this service myself. I was visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday and did not have my tools, so I chose this location for service a day before my return drive home. I was astounded by how complacent the manager was with the poor quality of work. They were clearly not comfortable working on a very common vehicle and showed no pride in their service or work. I remain very dissatisfied. While all employees were courteous and helpful at the station, what I wanted was the “service” I paid for. Merely “eyeballing” my tires before a long trip, not verifying that the work was properly performed prior to my departure, and allowing an inexperienced tech to struggle with a “European car” is unacceptable if they are aware of these issues.Keeping the air filtering system for an engine intact is KEY to its operation. I couldn't imagine the consequences for my vehicle if I had been unable or unaware of what to check after a simple service. So just be aware.

Take 5 oil change ruined my 2020 pathfinder. After leaving there our car starting blowing blue smoke upon starting up. It then completely shut off. Our mechanic said there was zero oil in the vehicle. When I called they were rude took no responsibility and hung up on me. I am going to file a claim with Florida consumer affairs, bbb and contact the local new stations to cover this location and what they did. Our engine is blown thanks to an oil change at Take 5 Northlake. I’m also going to contact my good friend the mayor of lake park to let them know what kind of business this company is doing.

The service was great! Very fast. Was in and out in probably 15 mins. They gave me a water bottle when I got there and they even had a fan blowing through the open window on the drivers side so you can have air while you sit there with your car off. They also washed my windshield after. The price is a little high though. With the oil filter and tax, it ended up costing me about $100 for synthetic blend. But I would still recommend if you are looking for good service in a pinch.

These guys were so busy, when I went. I thought I’d be there all day. But, no. They went thru 4-5 cars pretty fast. Got my oil changed and a wiper replaced. First time I went. Will go back. Good service.

Would not recommend. The manager was very nice. However, the prices are not what is listed on the board. It felt like I was being scammed as they tried to charge me almost $30 more than the price on the board. Then to make it even worse they did not secure the under carriage cover properly so it fell off while I was driving.

If I could give 0 star, then I would. I’ve been here sitting here at the Lake Park location for 30 minutes. The service is horrible. They talk too much. My wife is highly disappointed stating that we have never waiting this long for an oil change. It went from three guys working to one. At one point, one employee was looking for another employee and told the other available employee that he couldn’t find the other employee. We won’t be coming back to Take 5. How about take 50 minutes of your time.

I would not recommend anywhere else! Could not believe I didn’t discover Take 5 sooner, I came due to a bad experience at Valvoline to which they did not put any oil in my car. I came with my mother and as soon as we arrived we were given cold bottles of water immediately, shortly after, we were pulled into the bay. The manager Tasha came and introduced herself to us immediately! Tasha and her staff are nothing but amazing and efficient, you can tell they really care about their customers. They even have fans to keep you cool while in the bay with your car off. Something small but definitely appreciated…I loved that you can actually see everything they are doing to your vehicle! I paid a few dollars more than I would at Valvoline but it is more than worth it especially for the amazing customer service, anyone not coming here needs to get with the program!Service: Oil change

Great service, friendly staff. Unfortunately, disappointed in the price though. Overcharged for cooling fluid sadly.

Great service but my oil change price did not include a shop fee 4.99 or in my case, an additional filter fee 6.99. So mine was $11 and tax to the price quoted. 84.99 became 103.76
