Truck was older, damaged, and not very clean. Our flight changed and we had to rush to return the car, without time to refuel. The refueling fee was ridiculous - heads up - about $10 per gallon!

The worst car rental experience, my family and I rented a car in December for three days, we delivered it without problems and three months later we received a letter that the car had been damaged under our rental contract and that we had to pay 2100 for the arrangement . We never crashed the car but since we didn't take photos, which no one told us we had to do, we had no evidence that we had delivered it correctly. We took out insurance through Expedia through where we rented it and we are processing with them for payment, but the thing is that although we do not have to pay for the insurance, we never damaged the car and otherwise we would have hadWe would surely have to pay. never trust this Payless company

Payless at Pam Beach Airport in Florida was a terrible experience. We had reserved a car online weeks earlier. However when we arrived we waited over two hours on line to speak to an employee to get a car. They only had two people behind the desk so they were overburdened. We did finally get a car (Toyota Corolla) and it was fine except for the fact that there was no windshield washer fluid, which we discovered only much later when we needed it. Not a great experience but at least the car had no mechanical issues for the several days we rented

Great overall experience and price Expect to wait a hour though standing on line to get a car after a flight and shuttle from PBI.

Counter staff were very professional and courteous. The staff driving the courtesy van to the terminal and again on car return were polite and helpful. I could not lift my luggage onto the van or off and it was done for me to and from the airport terminal. Great job all around.

Car was fine, super quick return, quick shuttle from the airport and friendly staff. However, there was a long line at check in, about a 40 minute wait and only two people working the counter on a early Sunday afternoon.

do not use payless I do not recommend had to go 3 times back to the place because the car had expire license plate then had to go back again because a light came on in the car to change the oil they won't allow any one to drive with a learner's permit they should let people drive with learner's permit

Stay away from Payless/Budget at PBI unless you have the utmost in patience. Inadequate and poorly trained staff. Little to no direction as to picking up rental. Counter was beyond poorly staffed.

Rented a Chrysler Pacifica from Tampa airport. Next day I noticed the 2 front tires were completely bald , the car shuts off at red lights for no reason , screen goes completely blank and you loose maps , music and need to shut everything down and reboot . ( not an easy task when your driving unfamiliar highways. ) they told me to bring it to the nearest budget dealer. Got there and they said we have nothing for 6 hrs go tho the next one another 1/2 hr. away . After waiting in line another hr they told me they couldn’t help because i had to go to a Payless rental that was another 1-1/2 north. I’ll never rent from them again.

Change oil light came on as soon as I left the lot. Missing drives rug, very, very sensitive brake pedal. Other than that, I got where I wanted to go when I wanted to go. What more can you ask of a rental?

There was no stall at the airport to check-in or ask questions. Once taking the packed shuttle to the location, there was a line out the door.Once you finally got inside, the line zig zagged several times. I was in line over an hour and a half....having no choice but to wait. The gentleman who waited on me was polite and friendly while doing my paperwork.He sent me to my car and space, but as I got there someone else drove away with my car.I had to go back in, and wait ...again...while he handled another customer. He didn't apologize and had to redo all the paperwork.I believe he may have upgraded my vehicle, but he didn't say so. The vehicle was very nice...and returning the car was very easy.But for the most part, it was the worst car rental experience I've had.....but the price was good. My friends all said, You get what you pay for!
