Nice place and excellent customer service. Paid for a one class to try out, it was intense and I sweat a lot which is good and I loved. However, the reason why I went is because the promo of the "FREE" 6 months. It is not free and I feel it is false advertising. You have to pay in advance for the year and sign a contract. If after the 6 months you are not satisfied you still have paid because you can't do the 6 months without payment.

This boxing gym maintains a high level of professionalism, and the staff are both friendly and supportive. I successfully lost 25 pounds by participating in their 6-week challenge.

I don’t know much about the place I live close by and it always looks busy so I’m sure business is good . In regards to the three stars I would like to share some thoughts when I looked into getting a membership there I placed a inquiry online or I called cannot remember but right out of the gate I heard some things that I did not care for and I feel I need to share . First off whomever I spoke to uses a sales tactic but getting to know why you would like to join. Innocent at first , car salesman do it almost any sales person worth there weight in gold does it . Usually not a big deal. Second when it came to price the gentleman I spoke too did not want to give a straight forward answer all he wanted me to do is come in and sit down take a tour ect…. They usually do that so they can pressure you on the spot to join. Many gyms use the same tactics LA Fitness is the main culprit of that . Pressuring people is really not ok somebody is going to want to do it or not . Then after about 15 minutes of just asking for a price he finally says it’s 55 dollars plus a little extra . So of course I was like what’s a little extra . After another fees minutes I get an answer that basically doubled that amount . That’s not a little extra it’s double plus taxes and a deposit . This is why they get you to come in so they can get you while your there . Most people hate that tactic . Then they want you to sign a contract for a certain amount of months the more months you agree to the cheaper it is . So now your locked into something that if your life changes and you cannot go as often your on the hook which I believe they require your bank account info. LA FITNESS does this and if they payment does not go thru they will keep charging you racking up potential fees on your account they will just keep trying . I don’t know if LIGHTS OUT does that but I would like to assume based on the same sales technique as LAFitness mostly that would be a fair assumption . Then comes the hours a lot of people don’t have morning jobs that allows them time to come in the afternoon . Then the more people that are in a class at once the less real instruction you receive . Let’s say you don’t like it for some reason regardless your on the hook for months unless you choose month to month which is more money. It’s like your being punished for not signing up for more months which equals more profit for them. The pint I’m making is be cautious with them if your going to sign up make sure you can afford it of course and make sure you have the time to go get your moneys worth. What turned me off is the fact that I could not get a straight answer on price and how they wanted me to come in I was asked multiple times throughout the whole conversation . When I was with LA Fitness I literally had to cancel my bank account to get them to stop trying to pull payment from me there records showed I paid but they still counted to try to take payment . Just a suggestion have a straight forward price don’t be so secretive about what it cost it makes people question it . At least if your smart to see thru the tactic . Even if I had the time to go I would not simply based on the difficulty to receive a straight answer and then when I said no the multiple calls after days after to try and real me back in. I see a lot of good reviews but just be very careful to not rope yourself into something you may or may stick with. Many people start gyms and fall out with the dedication. If I they were straight up and not trying to use sales tactics I might have joined hope it helps .

I started 3 months ago and already lost 15 lbs. Not only has training made me physically stronger, but my mentality on life has significantly improved. I am constantly surrounded by positivity and people who want to better themselves. They are super easy with beginners and gradually get harder so you feel like your challenging yourself without going overboard

Coming up on my first year here at lights out and I'm glad I found them. Having just moved to Tampa a little over a year ago I was looking for a new workout routine. Danny and his team have delivered every time in providing a welcoming high intensity interval style workout with a community that genuinely encourages you to give 100% each session. If your looking for a new challenge or routine to your workouts I highly recommend you check this place out.

I Just finished 16 months here at lights out and I’ll have to say it’s been THE best gym I’ve ever been to. It wasn’t just a gym for me, it was my outlet. The coaches and workouts helped me not just physically but mentally and emotionally. I NEEDED a place like this and people like them and they did their job. So If you’re thinking about whether or not to sign up, don’t think, just DO. You will not regret it!

1 star for answering phone. Per Chino, I’m under the impression this gym wants to rip people off. I’ve never experienced a refusal on a estimate/quote because they prefer to show off toys first?. Unbelievable. Thanks but no thanks.
