Stopped by to grab an outfit for a luncheon. They always have great prices and their customer service was great.

Went shopping with my mother today and she went to exchange an item and pay for 5 more items we found at the same time. Got up to the counter and was told that they don't do returns at that counter BUT that she would do it this time. We thanked her and she began grabbing the pants to start her receipt search and exchange since we didn't have it. My mother started to explain that she didn't have receipt but that she had purchased it on her JCPenney's card. The cashier then rudely cut her off and began to tell us AGAIN that she no longer did returns there AFTER she already agreed to do it. I became angry and grabbed the items from her and sarcastically said I will take it to the return counter then and stormed off. Yes I acted hastily but don't jerk my mother around because you decided to do it anyway. I've worked in retail and I would never agree to do something if I wasn't going to be nice about it. She was not happy when I gathered everything and left to the other counter. If I had known that there was a specific area to do returns after so many years of shopping there with my mother, then I would have done so but NOWHERE on her counter or above the area where she rang customers up it said that no returns were done there or that we must go to a specific counter. I hope this taught her to be kinder to her customers instead of trying to humiliate them in front of others while agreeing to do it in the first place. SO RUDE. Meanwhile, the others at the return counter were so kind and even offered to ring up the extra items after I asked if I had to go to the other counter. Mind you I had not even told the return counter what I went through because I was so mad and I wanted to just forget it and continue our shopping and she still offered to ring the 5 extra times we had. Hated that experience for my mom. She's been shopping at her favorite store since before I was born and I'm 46! Be nice people! It takes more effort to be mean.

Got some sales on Alfred Dunner slacks & add'l coupon off. Dressing room pretty clean & straight even though there were a lot of shoppers.Will go back in couple weeks for some other items.

After having a bad customer experience twice with this staff member, I’m going to go ahead and call her out here.Her name is Usha, and she mans the checkout section towards the front end of the store towards the street side.She reprimanded us for not folding the clothes at the counter before paying for them on one occasion, in public and in front of other shoppers.The second time, she made an snide comment about not applying for the JC Penny credit card by saying “ then go ahead and pay all that extra money” in the most unpleasant way.I work in the service industry too, and this is appalling to see. Hope the management takes this seriously and helps her out with whatever training she needs.

I had a recent curbside pickup order and needed help with the JCP app and a very courteous customer service rep named( Alexander )went out of his way to assist me he directed me to someone in the store to look up my order and he waited to make sure my order was found and received. He definitely deserves to be acknowledged for providing exceptional customer service!!
