Montana is one of the officers at the shelter and gives her absolute all. She tries so hard with such little resources provided to her and takes such pride in what she does. She goes above and beyond and truly cares about the animals there! The animals are so sweet. Would definitely recommend going to adopt!

Just awful the  way Hardy county sheriffs office keep those cats in there all sick like that none of them are vaccinated. None of them are spayed or neutered just awful how they’re being kept like that majority of them are sick have plus oozing out of their eyes, coughing haven’t been tested for or for nothing . they shouldn’t let anybody go in that room every other shelter I go to I’ve never seen a sick animal like that. They’ve always been in a sick room separate from people can’t see them nor can they adopt them that’s just awful.

We are over the moon about our kitten we adopted from Hardee County Animal Control! Montana and the entire staff were so friendly to us and were excited to see Bam Bam get adopted. There are so many sweet babies there who need a loving home, both cats and dogs, and it's a difficult job seeing so many loving animals come through. It was hard to choose to bring home just one! We are excited to introduce him to our cat who has been lonely for the past few months. Bam Bam will be a great little addition to the family and will be checking out this shelter for future pets!

Will get you in with cheaper rates but Poor customer service. Holds prescriptions hostage. Poor infection control with surgeries. BEWARE!!!

I MAY HAVE TO DRIVE AN HOUR TO GO HERE BUT THIS IS THE BEST VET OFFICE THEY HAVE ALWAY FOUND AWAY TO LOOK AT MY ANIMALS WHEN. I HAVE AN EMERGENCY WITH OUT AN OUTRAGES FEE FOR GETTING ME IN WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT .THEY ARE VERY BUSY AND YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT A BIT SOMETIMES BUT THEY ARE VERY GOOD WITH MY ANIMALS SO ITS ALL WORTH IT.

Super sweet workers they do the best they can for the animals. They give a lot of the dogs to non kill shelters. I will be donating as much as I possibly can to this amazing shelter

I drove over 2 hrs to this animal control to adopt a dog I'd seen on line. The staff are friendly, kind people who truly care about the dogs & cats.
