I stopped in this Branch to open a new account and they told me I couldn't do that in the branch I had to either do it online or call their customer service number. Truly the most Antiquated thing I've ever heard! But I had no problem walking into South State and opening an account in person. Then when I set up an external transfer so that I could move money from my business account at another financial institution to my space coast account, they blocked the transfer. It took the better part of a week, multiple phone calls and stopping in two different Space Coast Credit Union branches to get it resolved, but they denied all along that they blocked it when in fact they did. Now I'm going through something similar where I tried to set up an external transfer to move money from my Chase account to Space Coast Credit Union so that I can close my Chase account, and once again they have blocked it, so Chase wasn't able to verify my SCCU account. I tried to do the online chat optiom online, but no one would respond to my question, so I called their customer service number and was transferred round and round and never could get to a person who could help me. Just don't! Use any other financial institution but don't use Space Coast, their customer service is non-existent.

This bank knows there's an issue not asking deposits available yet have not communicated this to their branches nor posted anything online to keep us from making deposits we can't use. As soon as these ignorant McDonald's quality employees get thos fixed my family's business accounts will be closed.

I would not recommend this branch. I have been a customer for almost 10 years never had an issue with any branch I visit until now. The branch manager froze my account because I made a check deposit that she felt that was fraudulent. Why, I have an idea as to why she deem that despite the fact that I had more than enough money in my account. I've made several large deposit before and never had an issue. I guess I didn't look the part. I will no longer be doing business with Space Coast because if Melissa the branch manager took the time to look at the history of my accounts, she wouldn't have frozen my entire account. Good thing Space Coast is not my only bank otherwise we would have been in deep. I will Wil be waiting for the District Manager Daniel Bryant (if that's the real name) to reach out.
