I used to think that going to a farmers market was a great idea until I went here and got my stuff home and seen that my apples Come from Another country, Chile. My cilantro came from California!! I’m just wondering, is there a reason why we can’t get apples from the United States? The ones I got from? Walmart were so very disappointing. We won’t be back.!

EDIT* And of course I sat down to start chowing down on my $12 little bag of overpriced lychees and they’re TERRIBLE. Not even ripe yet! These are not good lychees people don’t overpay like I did do yourself a favor and try the ones at Kroger they will blow your mind.
Shame on your Peterson Farms. I’ve paid $3-4/lb for seasonal locally grown lychees for a couple years now from Krogel Produce stand on Sebastian for the last few years, I got a huge 4lb bag for less than $17 but unfortunately couldn’t make it up there today and instead tried to support Peterson’s as I was told they also have lychees. Boy was I shocked when they told me they were $8/lb!!! They are charging double what other local fruit stands and produce markets are for the same items! Same with their organic pink pineapples nearly twice as expensive! Yikes! I won’t be back. If you’re looking for a beautiful farm market experience this place is great! However, if you value your hard earned money I would not recommend going here. Try Krogel off US1!!! Krogel has amazing Florida grown melons right now too that are so yummy!

Nice fresh selections- many organic options. Staff is very helpful but seems more like a boutique stand than a true home grown farm stand. Pretty expensive but I don't mind for locally grown fruit and produce - buy local!

Ran by incredibly kind people for over a decade now, Peterson's Grove and Nursery is a must visit for all of your organic fruit and vegetable, jelly, honey, or plant needs. They have a great selection and competitive prices with the grocery stores for similar products, but their items are always fresh and delicious. Please check them out if you are looking to support an amazing local business that is a staple of Indian River County and Vero Beach!

Loved stopping by this cute market last weekend. I was able to get some excellent ruby red grapefruit, some honey bell oranges, and even some great tomatoes and baked potatoes. They had a large variety of fruits and vegetables and all kinds of healthy items in addition to plants and trees in the nursery. They even had the Florida version of a dole whip where you could get orange, vanilla or swirl ice cream. The swirl was perfect. Refreshing citrus with the vanilla sweetness in a cone! I'm glad I don't live nearby or I'd be over there too often for the ice cream alone. Stop by soon - you won't be sorry!

We went to Peterson's last Sunday. We purchased 4 oranges and 4 grapefruit...they cost $15, oh well. Both the orange and the grapefruit we tried had to be the worst we ever had. They had no taste and had no sweetness whatsoever. Obviously they don't taste their own fruit.....or they do and try to pass them off as citrus anyhow. You would think in Florida it's a no brainer to expect delicious, sweet fruit. I should have know when I saw a guy open a gallon of fresh squeezed orange juice to try it first, I'm wondering if they add some kind of sweetener to mask the real fruit juice. Make sure you try before you buy or else you are throwing away your money.

This place is a rip off. Their prices are inflated and they sprinkle in extremely high prices.
