My friend, who recently had major surgery and had reserved a U-Haul trailer, got screamed at for coming in through the front door!!! What a way to say: good morning, how can I help you? On top of that the lady canceled her reservation just because she felt like it. So my friend had to drive to US1 - they unfortunately didn't have the trailer size she had ordered but they were kind and called to see where she could go. She had to drive all the way up to 52nd street. So this cost her quite some time and stress which in her situation wasn't something any of her friends wished for her. Since the other U-haul places knew about the lady at Mike's and her issues, I recommend you go elsewhere to get your U-haul trailer.

I'm not certain, but I do believe it's all family owned and operated. The "karen" at the front desk most reviews refer to is actually the daughter or daughter in law. With that said, some of us may not know the struggle is real when working with family. Expectations to live up to, shoes to supersede,. Or, possibly she is doing her best as a mom, wife, daughter etc. And yet hasn't learned how to smile and say "bless your heart". While committing a mental scenario of one's demise.. theoretically speaking of course. I for one can say that when a car gets towed for whatever reason, people are rude to the drivers or office personnel even though they were doing what they are told. So maybe her attitude was a complete result of attitudes she has dealt with in the past. The peoples own creation. So for future reference, no matter what your emotion is, don't let it over flow into every aspect of your life. Aka.. don't infect others with your negativity. No matter what side of the desk your on.

Guy hooking up the trailer ran in to my tailgate and dented it. Refused any blame and now I’m stuck with the bill to fix it. Not to mention the attitude of everyone working there. Heed the reviews and please go elsewhere.

Everything was terrible dealing with this company. We had a flat tire and while he change the tire he damaged our rim! The cost for tire change was $85. My husband needed change he was only 3 dollars short and all he had was $20. The tech guy named John with terrible customer service skills and no empathy claimed he had no change. So we had to over pay by giving him an extra 20….. we already had Triple A service so it shouldn’t be out of pocket expense but I called in and I didn’t have my ID on me only a picture of it on my phone. He refused that so I said my husband name is on the account he has a physical ID. He refused because I called it in….. So we called back under my husband name this time while he was still with us. He claimed he didn’t get the call. He doesn’t see it. He left and we tried to get other help. After another hour, we had no choice to call them back and do the $85. Terrible greedy human being. It’s so sad. If you can avoid using them. Run far far away.

This place gets a 0/5 from me and my family and we will definitely NEVER use this service again. we walk up to the door and try to enter as we get yelled at by a middle aged white women, she says "don't come through the door walk to the window" so that's what we do, she then asks if we have a reservation and my step mother says yes and shows her the phone with the name of the reservation (i'd like to mention my stepmother doesn't speak english well, so she was just trying to show her) the lady then says "i don't need your phone, i can have a normal conversation" in such a nasty attitude. I said "there is no need to be rude" she then said "i wasn't being rude i just don't need the phone, i can have a normal conversation " i then said "you are having an attitude and there is no need for that" she then said " that's your opinion, and if that's how you feel i won't let you rent a u-haul" (which is super unprofessional as this is a business right?) " i said "that's fine", and walked away to de-escalate the situation and i heard her tell my step mom " she's still running her mouth" referring to me, let me remind you i walked away. My stepmom then had to beg this woman to rent a u-haul as we drove half an hour to get to this place. i doubt she owns this business to be declining service. She finally ends up letting my stepmother rent the u-haul. If i were you i would not come here, absolutely disrespectful and horrible customer service.

My daughter was in her first car accident, car was totaled. Upon arriving to the window of Mike’s towing, we were met with empathy and compassion from the receptionist, Marisha ( forgive spelling). The entire ordeal for my daughter and our family is a difficult one however, being treated so kindly by Marisha and also the gentleman who guided us to the mangled car has been a really warm, friendly and most kind experience. We thank you so much for being supportive of our heartbreak, we truly appreciate you.

If you enjoy being screamed at and harassed by a tow company for asking simple questions about the release of your vehicle, then this is the place for you! But for real the lady answering phones is miserable, rude, incompetent, lazy, and unprofessional! DONT RECOMMEND EVER

We were left stranded on the side of the road pulling a trailer that had a bearing blowout. Called the office after hours and was greeted warmly. Senior and the flatbed were there within 20 minutes. Picked up the trailer, brought us to our home to unload it, and then followed us to the garage to drop it off. He did a great job with the trailer and was super nice and helpful. Hopefully I will never need another tow but if I do, they would be the one to call

Like many other folks on here, I will say the woman working the desk was the rudest, most miserable person I’ve ever met in customer service. This place should be embarrassed to have her working there.

I think the lady working the front desk might be the actual spawn of Satan. I have never had someone be so needlessly rude to me when we just had a simple question. I definitely will not be coming back to this location for a Uhaul or for any other service ever again. One time visiting this place was one time too many!

Customer Service is just so terrible. The woman on the phone seems like she’s permanently irritable and hates her job. I have actually had a pretty nice tow truck driver but subsequently had a man who was probably nice enough but just so disinterested in solving problems. It was really perplexing and frustrating. Problems range from poor communication by reaching out, poor communication whilst speaking on the phone, shortness and irritability, and most importantly, a plethora of different, seemingly non-relevant excuses about why they cannot tow a car. They don’t tow this model, the car doesn’t have a tow hook, They won’t leave the asphalt, it goes on and on. It’s as if they have a contract with AAA but they don’t want to fulfill their part of the obligation to that company.
