So this place to me is a huge disappointment. They have always seemed to be fair enough to my girl over the years. But I recently moved to Vero Beach and I took a few of my vehicles to them. Asked to look at my front end and had some oil leaking. They said "they don't do oil leaks" Like what?!?! So, then I mentioned I needed them to look at my 4wd system as I could not put it in 4wd. Then they tell me "they don't do 4wd vehicles" ugghhh.
So anyways, they tell me I need an axle, 500 dollars later they fix it and tell me I need an alignment. Take it to the alignment shop they recommended, just to be told, and shown that I needed ball joints badly and they wouldn't align it till I fixed it. Well that costs 1400, which was more than I wanted to put into the vehicle. But never once did J and J mention to me that I needed them, and it was very obvious they needed to be replaced. If I would have known I wouldn't have wasted 500 bucks on an axle.
I have taken 3 vehicles there since moving into the area, and every time it's clear they only pick and choose what's easy or convenient for them, and not there to legitimately help the customer. Maybe it's me, I don't know. But never in my life have I seen a shop cherry pick only want they want to do and not what needs to be done. Luckily, there is several shops within a mile radius, and we found a shop that has gladly helped us with our six vehicles and gained alot of work from us. Don't let the reviews fool you, unless it's something they want to do they aren't going to help do anything but waste your time.
A shop that doesn't do oil leaks. Gtfoh haha ridiculous...
I don't just leave negative reviews, and I'm highly rated within Google reviews with over 100k views. This is absolutely a fair assessment of my experience and how I was treated.

Joe at J & J auto was extremely helpful when I totalled my car. Even though I ended up not needing any body work done, he was so helpful through my claim process and helped me with the insurance company. They are reliable and honest at this shop! Definitely recommend!

Went for a front wheel bearing. They told me they couldn’t do it wheel bearing was too rusty etc, brought it to another mechanic, took him 45 minutes, the guy didn’t even use a heat torch or an air hammer, and it wasn’t as much as these people were gonna charge me. On top of that, when J&j returned my vehicle to me, they didn’t tell me that they broke a stud off for the lug nut when the wheel was removed, they could’ve let me know that rather than let me drive out and have a potential accident. If you’re looking for a real shop, this isn’t the one. Bunch of sleeze bags

Drove down from SC last week and a couple days after getting here I started hearing my brakes grinding. Day by day it got worse. I asked a couple friends to recommend a good place to take it and J&J Auto came up a few times. Brought the car in first thing this morning with no appointment, spoke with John and left the car with him. Not even half an hour later he gives me a call and explained the rear brakes needed to be replaced. The front brakes still looked good for at least a few thousand miles. So, I just had him do the rear for now. Called me back around 2:00 and let me know the car was ready to be picked up. I just had the brakes on my other car replaced a couple months ago back in SC and paid more and the service was now nearly as good. The garage was spotless, the couple people I dealt with were friendly and professional. Wish they were in SC!

The Oil Change that cost me $1000.About 10 months ago, I had my oil changed at J&J Auto Works. When I got my next oil change this summer (in Canada), the Canadian shop told me that the oil plug had been cross-threaded, presumably from the previous oil change. They tried to resolve the problem by tapping out the hole and using a larger plug. Alas, this did not work, and the plug leaks. i now learn I have to get a new oil pan for around $1000. I'm not going back to J&J.

Good honest family business. Brought my wife's Kia in for a hanging front bumper cover. They fixed it on the spot with no charge and would not take any money! This does not happen in many places anymore

I just had some work done by J & J, and I was very pleased. The price was very fair, and the final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. Everyone was extremely pleasant. I will definitely use them in the future

I had the same mechanic for 30 years in W Palm Beach. After moving to Vero 3 months ago I began asking friends and several mentioned J&J Auto Works. One lady said she and her husband have been going there for nearly 30 yrs. I was very pleased and now have a new mechanic.Crystal Webster

My brother just went there to get an estimate on his bumper that was hanging off his accord. The kind folks at this place fixed the bumper quickly and stopped what he was doing for a ten minute fix and now this is going to be the only place we go for car repairs. 6 stars if I could give them!

I want to shout it from the rooftops that J & J Auto Works has officially made my day, week, month, and year. After a very tumultuous several weeks which included my backing into my daughter's car in my own driveway I called J & J Auto Works. So many good things have already been said about this business already but I am always wary especially in the auto repair category due to the decline of concern from business owners about integrity. But my experience with J & J was so above and beyond that I am writing this review in the parking lot because I could not wait to share the love. So for anyone in need of bodywork, oil changes, brakes, and more do not walk... run toJ & J. Well likely you will drive...?I have found a new auto spot for my family and friends. I highly recommend everyone give them a try!Thank you again Joe and staff you are awesome!
