I visited this location for prescription fire training, and the area was beautiful with native Florida wildlife and plants. The training here also had great instructors, and I recommend this location for the field day portion of S130 and other related courses. I only wish I had time to explore more, but now I have a reason to return with friends and family.

It's a pretty cool place. It's a research station not a park or anything but it does have some cool history and interpretive trails. Looks like a great place for kids camps etc

Went for a Saturday hiking event, Dustin, Makayla, and April, which were very knowledgeable and informative for the tour group. The weather was fair during the tour. Thanks again, guys, for making Earth Day a treat from nature.

For small per-person donation we learned so much over a couple hours during a very short educational walk.Playground: There's no playground here. This is not a public park; it's a private non-profit active research facility that is open to the public with limitations.Restrooms: Full facility inside the visitor center.Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed.Picnic area: Picnic area is for staff, residents and organized tour groups such as schools.

We came by on Wednesday in January 2023 & it was gated closed. The sign said Open Thursday through Sundays 8a.m. to 5pm. We returned on a Sunday only to find it completely neglected. We had to stroll one behind the other for the brush on both sides was encroaching the sandy narrow trail. Viewing with our binoculars we saw the male & female eastern towhees, Florida scrub jays, blue jays, blue gray gnatcatchers, pine warblers, yellow rump warblers, kestrel, king fisher, robin, red shouldered hawk, bald eagle, turkey & black vultures, white & glossy ibises & brown thrasher, downy woodpecker, red bellied woodpecker. and a northern flicker.

Closed to the public due to the scamdemic. Please update your maps page and save others from the mistaken attempt to visit your nature site. It's only considerate.

Nice trail but doesn't seem like it is maintained which actually made for a better trail.

This place during COVID is really really suffering. I had the most awful interaction ever calling on the phone, they were in a really bad mood. Sad, because then you realize these are bunch of researchers with no people skills whatsoever so they are not open to regular folks that are trying to learn. If you want to really learn, DO NOT GO TO ARCHBOLD BIOLOGICAL STATION. Their foundation is also ran by someone unscrupulous.

Absolutely lovely place preserving endangered ecosystems, flora and fauna, here in Florida. You must make the trip and help keep this place going and help keep Florida wild.
