These guys are a rip-off and took advantage of retired elderly customer. When confronted about correcting a simple problem the sales staff offered up misleading excuses and then charged 35% the price of the item as a restocking fee. Go ahead and take your chances.

I am very disappointed with the workmanship and the integrity of Karats. I brought in a pocket watch for service and was later told on the phone the repair would cost me $230, which I agreed to. When I came in to pick up my watch Sandor said the bill is $350. He said the extra charge was because I wanted 'information' about the watch. The 'information' he gave me I was able to verify in 5 minutes on the internet. I was upset that he tells me $230 on the phone and then adds $120 when I come in. We had a few heated words and he knocked off $50, which I accepted. He also told me the watch was worth at least $600 but when I went to an auction house for appraisal I was told it was worth $75. What's more, 6 days later the second hand and the hour hand both fell off and are floating around between the crystal and the dial. I'm going to a reputable dealer to get that re-repaired. He told me several times that it's a beautiful watch and that I should keep it. I think he didn't want me to find out its real value.

Took some repairs there and they do a good job. They can fix watches as well. I have a few more pieces that need doing so I'll be going back. They have some nice pieces of jewelry also.

Very helpful in repairing an heirloom diamond and ruby pendant. Explained all that he was going to do to repair it plus he cleaned and polished it. It was beautiful once he was finished. Thank you
