DON'T GO TO QUEST DIAGNOSTICS IN WALMART, VENICE, FL.I had an 11:40 a.m. appointment for a blood test at the Quest lab in Walmart on 41 & Jacaranda Blvd. I signed in at 11:20 and the automated Intake machine told me to come back 10 minutes before my appointment. I was back at 11:30 and sat down in the waiting room. At 11:50 a 300 lb. technician opened the door and called out a name. I asked with no urgency, how late the appointments were running today; I wanted to know how much longer I'd be sitting there. She looked at me SHOCKED and said, "We're not running late! What time is your appointment?" I told her it was at 11:40. The woman who's name was called said, "Mine's 11:40 too, and It's only 8 minutes past that!" WHAT??? At this point they're 8 minutes late - not on time! I was speechless hearing her tell me they weren't running late! She disappeared with the client. At 11:55, a second technician who looked to be in her 70's, opened the door and called the name of a woman who had checked in after I did. When she stood up, I asked her when her appointment was; she told me, "11:40". So I said to the tech, "How late are you running today?" She scowled at me, saying, "You just asked the other technician, that! I don't know! Why are you asking me?" I said, "Becaise so far, you're 15 minutes late." She ignored me and disappeared. That told me 3 things: 1. They are all a bunch of grumpy hags at Quest in Walmart; 2. They served a client who had the same appointment as I, but checked in after me, AND 3. That the 300 lb. tech told her colleagues that I was out there, complaining! To allow a potentially vindictive technician to use my arm as a pin cushion, to exact her revenge for perceived but non-existant aggression, was not on my list of things to do today! I left, deciding to go elsewhere! This is why the Quest Lab at Walmart had a 2.5 star rating. They're all touchy, crazy and from the look of them, possibly dangerous and probably terminal! I tried but could only get this review posted if I gave them 1 Star....

Cannot reach a live person ever. There are no options to speak to somebody. To find out any information. This is an assembly line. I would never go there. All I wanted to do was find out if we can travel samples but there’s no way to find out. What a horrible organization.

I use this Quest all the time and have never had an issue. I book on line, have my ID and insurance cards ready and am in and out.

Milena is amazing! No one has ever drawn my blood without leaving a trace, except her. The best social and professional skills.

Great experience!!! I can’t believe I am writing this because I usually hate blood tests! But if you don’t want to feel absolutely any discomfort during your blood test, you have to do it at Quest in Walmart, Venice. They are experienced and make you feel good and relaxed during the entire test ?

I have been using Quest for 7 years. The first 5 years in Colorado and the last 2 years here in Venice at the Walmart kiosk. I had a kidney transplant and I’m in the lab at least every 2 months for labs. Let me say this, theQuest in Colorado is 5 star plus. Staff, cleanliness and efficiency. Today my appointment was at 720 am. I had 3 lab orders from 3 different doctors. The lab tech, after 20 or more finally inputted the orders in computer ( usually take 10. Min or less) hands me a lab order to sign. I look at the order and it has someone else’s name on it with 4 draws to be taken. I told her this is not mine that’s not who I am. She yelled at me “you gave me this you handed it to me”. I said no that was impossible. It only went down hill from there. Her rudeness, incompetence and overall attitude was the worst I have experienced in 7 years. I’m done. Additionally this particular kiosk has steadily declined in the past 2 years. And don’t say it’s Covid related. Other labs are able to find qualified friendly staff. God knows what lab orders she followed but I’m not returning to this place. It’s a disgrace!

The worst company to use. They are terrible. There are 20 people in the line all day, all night. Even if you have an appointment you won't be called until well after your appointment . By more than an hour. I don't know about but I have a life and plans , they don't revolve around quests terrible employees and there terrible work ethic. The lady came out for 3 seconds and everyone started asking questions since there is nobody to help them check in or answer anything . This is my last time ever using this place for anything. If you hate Walmart you will hate this place

I have gone to Quest for my blood draw, which is every three months, since I moved down here (about 5 years ago). There has never been a long wait and the people at the Walmart location have always been so very kind. (I went to East venice a few times and I can't say the same for them - I plan not to go back there.) The wait, at all lol cations have always been very reasonable.

Quest is like McDonald’s, you hate the place, but you still go there. And of course the ice machines always broken (excuses.) I’ve had three appointments and two walk-ins, and every time there’s an excuse. The computer is down, the lady that operates the computer just left. We’re really busy. Blah blah blah. I’ve been hired with a new company and all I need is a drug test. It looks pretty bad on me when it takes over a month to get back with my new employer with test results.

Well after reading the horror stories, I was really apprehensive, but it turned out to be a very good experience. Every patient was called sweetheart! No rude people there that day.I was taken in for labs on time and it took less than ten minutes. They did tell me my Doc filled everythingin for me and sent in the request ahead of my appointment. That might make a big difference. You do need to get your appointment ahead by computer. There is a calendar that each day is highlighted, just pick a day and time., I’m happy with Quest at the Venice Walmart.

We were first in line for our annual bloodwork this morning. There were no appointments available so we hoped we could be seen. The staff opened on time and worked around those with appointments and those who did not so that we and around 20 other people were taken care of in 20 minutes. The staff were very friendly and did a great job.
