I came in to get pedicure and Manicure. I went with gel French for my fingers and not even 3 days later it chipped, then next day two more chipped, finally day after another 7 days after. I went to get fixed they just drilled white off and repainted, leaving uneven lines. Nail tech seem in a hurry and a corner of my big toe doesn't even have polish. Polish they grabbed looked old. I went to another salon and they fixed two of them. I watched them free hand the white tip, no need to cake it on and then get acetone to fix the lines twice for one session. Just once and done. They look dramatically better then the other lines. I believe this lead to the gel over drying and breaking, as well as thick coats. Will not go again, not worth the money.

Poor quality, reap off prices. Came in for a gel manicure. Instead of removing old material, male technician filed it down, refilled it. Uneven lines, terrible shape. Will not comeback. I paid $98 for pedicure with poorly polished nails and refill with gel polish. Doesn't worth my time.

Love this place!! One of the owners is always there to make sure that your experience is top-notch. Very clean and they adhere to excellent sanitary practices at all times. They formerly were located in the Publix plaza on Venice Island, but are now located at Pinebrook and Venice Ave. New location is much nicer--more of a spa-like setting. All employees are friendly and very attentive. I have been going to this nail salon for several years now and I am always pleased with the results and service. I would highly recommend!!

Just a shout out to Lisa and the other staff at S&S Nails. Yesterday I went to my appointment for a gel pedi, dipping powder mani and brows. The level of service, quality of the service delivered, and the attention to detail was top shelf. I moved here 20 months ago and had a difficult time finding a salon that consistently delivered quality services. For 6 months now, this has been my go-to place. I have always had Lisa do my work, but wouldn't hesitate to use others. I've even gotten my husband to go for a pedi! As a plus, I never have a long wait and the staff & clients engage in fun conversation and laughter with each other. Highly recommended.

I'm actually shook. this salon is the worst. absolutely the most manipulative salon. i had a review posted but it was taken down by what im assuming to be the management. The lady who did my nails used the wrong polish, causing my $60 nails to chip seconds after getting them. i went back the next day after speaking with the manager, he told me she'd fix them for free as well as a free pedicure. she did fix the nails, but gave me a half ass pedicure and proceeded to charge me $30 for it. that is $90 total to a crappy salon. i didn't even have the energy to fight.

I had a great experience at this salon. After having a bad dip manicure at another salon, I scheduled online with Samantha for a liquid gel set (with a note that I would like some nail art). When I got to the salon I ended up seeing Theresa. She was wonderful. So kind and she did an excellent job with my nails. I also overheard Samantha with her clients. Both of these techs have many longstanding clients. I would recommend going to either one. Both were very sweet! Also the whole set was $60, which is a great price compared to what I have paid before. Especially for the quality!

My mom loved her nails. We booked a last minute appointment with sandy and she was able to accommodate us. We were able to get a pedi/mani for a dam reasonable price. We ask for advice on nail care since my mom doesn't do her nails too often and she gave us all kinds of wonderful tips. She was so happy with her nails and we'll visit again whenever we're back to Sarasota.

Would not recommend! I showed a picture of what I wanted done with my nails. After she put on my tips and shaped them, she left for about 30 minutes to attend to another client. While I just sat there waiting! She then started with the acrylic. I was not happy with how she applied it as there was a big gap between my cuticle and the acrylic, making it look like my nails have been growing out for a week. When I asked her to fix it she said she couldn't do it too close because it'll go over my skin and come off and the picture I showed was photoshopped (but all the other times I got my nails done it was done against my skin and it was fine). When I said I didnt like it she tried fixing it. Then there were uneven parts on the nails that I asked her to cover, she then decided to take off ALL the color on both hands and she then started over with the acrylic. All in all it took me over 2 hours just to get my nails done. Not worth it. My friend that went with me was unsatisfied with her nails because her hands looked different: one was done significantly better than the other. We wasted over $150 at the place. The only reason I'm giving 2 starts instead of 1 is because my nails ended up looking decent after 2 hours and because they were friendly.

I got my nails done by Sam and I am VERY happy with them! Sam made sure to do my nails exactly how I wanted them. I got them specially done to celebrate Shark Week-- the little shark design was sooo cute! The most awesome thing is that my nails made THE NEWS!! I was interviewed for Shark Week (my family and I own Shark Frenzy, a shark themed retail store) and they showed my sharky nails live on the air. The anchors loved them and I've been getting compliments non-stop. I can't say enough good things about my experience. These nails made the news, people. S&S nails is the best!
