The epitome of terrible, third world country customer service. I spent a morning trying to get through the CVS automated phone system to renew a prescription to no avail (the system doesn't work, and it sucks). Finally had the doc's office call the script in and went to pick it up, only to find out that CVS did not have me in their system even after I was getting the same script at the 4090 South Tamiami, Venice location for the past five years. I have the CVS prescription insurance plan and the med went up 4.5 times in price in a years' time. Checking prices, the script prices at Publix are the same price as CVS without having a insurance plan at Publix and it is $7.00 cheaper at COSTCO with no plan in place there either. I will be dealing with COSTCO for future refills cause the prices are better and the people at COSTCO are friendlier and not confused as like the CVS workers. Welcome to the Biden economy............my script went up 450% so the illegals have prescription coverage. I understand now why CVS and Walgreens are shuttering stores........they suck at their business model and are getting worse in all aspects of retail sales.

Had a good experience at the drive-thru window today. My wife and I really needed covid anti-virus and Kaitlyn took good care of us. A problem arose whether it was still under a government program or could be partly covered by Tricare and Kaitlyn quickly solved it. Thanks again, Kaitlyn. You're the best.

Staff is unfriendly, unavailable, and often too busy talking to each other to assist customers. Long checkout line and only one cashier on duty, Sole cashier was observed chatting with another staff member while customers on line waited o be served. Avoid CVS whenever you can, especially if you are in a hurry or if you consider your time to be valuable.

Pharmacy phone service is terrible! Once you finally figure out how to navigate to the point where you can ask to speak to the pharmacy they send you to voicemail. Very frustrating and inconvenient!

I'm giving CVS a one-star rating because their phone system is horrible... It's almost impossible to figure out how to speak to a pharmacist

I was here on vacation and needed a medication I was unable to fill ahead of my trip due to insurance timing. It took them over almost 36 hours to fill the prescription and then I had to wait 20 minutes in line for the medication.

VERY rude blonde at drop off counter. Made rude comments about people who come in from out-of-state. Very inappropriate.

Easy access and easy parking. I will definitely come to this location again. I came in for some over the counter medicines and a UPS package. Upon entry I was greeted by a young woman who was able to answer all my questions and send me to the proper locations for my needs.. They have regular check out and self check out if you desire. Service with a smile!

As though things aren't tough enough dealing with this pharmacy. Now they won't take phone calls....you can't reach a live person. You have to go thru their overcomplicated often malfunctioning recorded phone responces. Giving them two stars is overly generous but when you walk in, service is D+ to C-.

Apparently they hire people here that only have two braincells left. The guy I talked to sounded like he just snorted the entire pharmacy. I had a friend go pick up my prescriptions and he "forgot" to give her one of them. Had to make an extra trip. Always on hold for 30+ minutes when you need to talk to someone. Sometimes they will just hangup the phone because it's such an advanced piece of technology to figure out how to use. I can see now why everyone I know in the medical field makes fun of CVS and says to stay away from it.

Upon entering the store, and walking slowly along the aisle directly in front of the registers, I happened to notice the lone clerk who was working at that register, glaring and staring at my Mom and I. The woman in question, an older white woman, whose hair was cut short, seemed to be quite angry at us about something, although I have no idea what that might be, because my Mom and I had done absolutely nothing to her. After asking her about gummy bears, she gruffly answered my Mom and I, and then yelled at us, saying that we were not looking in the correct aisle. As my Mom and I are of Italian Ancestry and are somewhat dark complected, I sensed that race and ethnicity may have been a factor in our treatment.I would strongly advise anyone of a similar ethnic background to our own, to shop at a different CVS store in Venice.

When it’s easier to get illicit fentanyl than it is to get buprenorphine, we’re doing something very wrong."There is always work to be done to increase buprenorphine access, but a concerted effort at the pharmacy level will most certainly help save many lives. Even though the COVID-19 public health emergency has officially ended, the public health emergency of opioid overdose remains. Let’s remove whatever barriers are present at the pharmacy level to enable patients to access life-saving treatment."- Scott Weiner, Bicycle Health Director of Research
