This place charged me $90.00 for books when I enrolled my daughter and three weeks later I got a letter stating that they are closing going out of business.

Miss Susan made a huge impact in my daughter’s academics. She attended Tutoring Club from 2012-2014 and this year she graduates with honors and earns her ParmD from UF. I absolutely and undoubtedly recommend this Tutoring Club!

I had a 5 o’clock appointment to check this place out. There was a lady sitting at a desk who asked me if I had an appointment to which I responded that I do. She asked me to have a seat. I sat down with my two kids who were scheduled to have an evaluation to see what kind of help they need. No one ever bothered to tell me they were running behind or how long I would be waiting. 20 minutes later I left. I never even got a follow up apologizing for their lack of professionalism. Not that I would bother going back but at least apologize for wasting my time.

I have been working as an ACT/SAT prep instructor since 2012. In August of 2021, I began working at Tutoring Club - Valrico as an ACT/SAT mathematics instructor. I have previous experience prepping students using the curriculum designed by Kaplan. I am also highly familiar with Huntington Learning Center's curriculum.I can only speak towards the mathematics portion of the Tutoring Club's curriculum as I strictly prep students for ACT/SAT math, but relative to the curriculums designed by these "big name" companies, Tutoring Club produced a high-quality workbook that quickly and efficiently covers every topic that could possibly appear within the ACT/SAT mathematics sections. If one follows their 16 week program, one should most definitely see a decent score increase on ACT/SAT math.It is very easy to schedule a session at Tutoring Club, and the amount that they charge per hour is far less than the amount one usually pays for ACT/SAT prep classes or in-home tutoring. I do have a few students whom I meet with outside of the Tutoring Club at their homes, but these students pay over $20 more per hour relative to my Tutoring Club students. The Tutoring Club seems to specialize in ACT/SAT prep, but they have tutors who can assist with any HS mathematics course. On the other side of the hallway, where the reading/writing tutors work, I sometimes see younger children learning how to read and write. Personally, I have worked with algebra I and II students at the Tutoring Club.I view Tutoring Club - Valrico to be the best ACT/SAT prep academy in the Riverview/Brandon area. I earned a perfect 800/800 on the SAT's math section. I scored in the 99th percentile overall. I have been hired by Kaplan and Huntington Learning Center in the past, but never pursued the positions after taking a look at their curriculums. I worked as a MS science teacher for 2.5 years. I am now once again a student. The facts that I am a current student and former teacher who has logged thousands of hours prepping students for the ACT/SAT since 2012 make me a great candidate to work at any test prep academy. I choose to work at the Tutoring Club because I like their curriculum, I like the work environment, and I like the owner (my boss). Mike keeps things highly organized, allowing his tutors to do what they do without having to worry about the logistics surrounding setting up sessions and accepting payments.I realize I haven't been working at the Tutoring Club for a long time, but I feel it a great place for adults with ACT/SAT prep experience to work and for any HS student who desires to go to college to come for prep. My compensation as a tutor is fair. Fair compensation leads to a lower turnover rate, which in the long turn, leads to better tutors. I am very happy that I was offered a part-time position here as I pursue a second bachelors degree. I couldn't have asked for a better ACT/SAT prep center!

I can't say enough good things about the Tutoring Club. My youngest daughter has been attending regularly for the past 3 1/2 years. She has worked on a variety of different things over the years. She has improved her State Test Scores consistently with the support she has received from The Tutoring Club curriculum. My older daughter attended the Tutoring Club for SAT prep and help with college essays. She was beyond prepared for the SAT. Susan who runs the Tutoring Club truly cares about all the students that utilized her facility. She has exceptional staff and goes the extra mile for every student. I highly recommend the Tutoring Club for any student need - they will work with you to come up with an individualized plan to help your child succeed.

Finally, a tutoring group that delivered what they said they would! Susan and her team are just the best. My son was able to raise his SAT score after working with her team of experts. We’d tried other student prep clubs and all they offered was a bunch of workbooks and very little individual help. Susan has assembled a great group of tutors that not only understand all the concepts tested, but also know how to break down the information and tailor it to every student. She is always there for her students and takes a super interest in them and the community. Her team encouraged my son all the way through this experience and we couldn’t be happier.

I can't say enough about The Tutoring Club and how much it (esp. Ms. Susan) helped my son Ryan. We had wasted time and money at another establishment before we found this one. There was a night and day difference between the two! The tutors helped bring my sons SAT score up 200+ points and prepared him for the ACT test at the same time. Ms Susan also assisted Ryan with college app questions and essays. This is the complete package and I would not approach college with out signing up for this course! My son has already been offered scholarships at two colleges due to their help. Thank you Ms. Susan!

When I first came here as a freshman four years ago, I knew what I wanted to do, yet I felt as if I was not doing what needed to be done. Mrs. Prestridge took this into account and exceeded all expectations. She guided me during those years in admissions-related topics ranging from SAT prep to course selection and, most importantly, extracurricular advice that would be the key to getting into a top university. I would not be attending Stanford University today if I did not come in that day four years ago. Anyone who is considering going to a top college or even any college should immediately contact Mrs. Prestridge as I can assure you from first-hand experience that you will not only be satisfied but also amazed at what she can do for you or your student. This was probably one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I could not be more thankful!

Both of my daughters have completed the SAT/ACT prep course. Both raised their scores over 200 points resulting in astounding scores. They had a great experience throughout the course. Deepest thanks to the entire staff!

To anyone out there considering SAT/ACT prep for their child, I say don't make the mistake of going anywhere else! Susan Prestridge, the owner of The Tutoring Club, is hands down the most knowledgeable person around that knows exactly what needs to be done to get your child the best scores on their SAT/ACT. She only hires highly qualified college or grad students, no high schoolers like many of her competitors in the area. She is hands on and passionate about each and every student that walks through her door. As long as your student puts in the work, they will reap the reward in their scores. My son took her prep course and his scores got him a full academic/athletic scholarship to Rollins College which is a very pricey school. I cannot say enough good things about what Susan and her staff did for our family
