βSo I own a Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle. Is the 2024 C50 model, that hasn't been changed in over a decade. no frills, no tech, just pure motorcycle.
However, I lost the primary key that came with it when I purchased it new from Riva Motorsports.
So like any other motorcycle enthusiast, I belong to a Suzuki Volusia 800 forum on the internet. For the last 10 to 15 years, everyone has been recommending Ace Hardware. Because they do things that the big box Chains Don't Do, and that's called personal heartfelt service.
β Meaning that they don't have to do it, but they do it to make the customer happy. And that's why I am thrilled with this Dixie Ace Hardware. I'm not going to mention any names, but I went to 2 other Ace Hardware stores in Miami and they were not that helpful.
?But this particular location was definitely helpful. Although they could not duplicate my key for me (no proper blanks) , I have blanks coming in and I just have to take the blanks to them and they will go ahead and duplicate the current key that I have. ? That's called going above and beyond and that's why from now on I'll do all my shopping at Dixie Ace Hardware.
I wasn't even aware that Ace Hardware was still around, until I started inquiring about getting a duplicate key for my Suzuki motorcycle. This place is huge. It's like a labyrinth. I feel sorry for any firefighter that has to respond here for a false alarm or God forbid a commercial structure fire. Since I'm retired from the fire department, that's the first thing I noticed when I walked in. The small little Labyrinth walkways throughout this very big store, sort of gave me an eerie sensation of the dolphin carpet fire in which we lost Lieutenant Dewey Henry back in 1998. Anyways, I highly recommend this store, they have EVERYTHING that Home Depot has and then some.
I was at Home Depot a few weeks ago and I never received personalized service and care like I did here at this Dixie Ace Hardware.
So kudos to you management ?. By the way, they have freeze dried candy here! I had to purchase some on my way out, because I'm growing addicted to this stuff. Must watch my blood sugar! I'll be back in a couple of days with the key blanks so they can give me my duplicate motorcycle key, and this time I'll definitely have a Samsung Galaxy smart tag attached to it. That's funny, I always had a smart tag attached to the second key, but I never had it attached to the primary key that I use on my motorcycle. If you guys are looking for personalized and quick service, which you do not get at Home Depot anymore, (I can personally vouch for that) , then please try Dixie Ace Hardware, I give them ????? stars, and will be updating this review in the next week or so. ?β

βIf you're looking for some aluminum or stainless steel, Simmons probably has what you need. They have a huge supply in stock and will custom cut any amount you want. If they don't have exactly what you need then most likely they can order it. You have to understand that Metal has become very expensive and the price can change on a daily basis. I have not found any metal dealer in Miami Dade County that would be more reasonable than Simmons. I buy a lot of aluminum from Simmons! Enough said!β
βIβd like to give a big shout-out to VPS Tire Repair for the fantastic job they did in my garage. They installed a two-post lift and a spring compressor for me, and the entire service was absolutely perfect! If you need this kind of equipment installed, I can totally recommend them!β
βThis is a wholesale warehouse, itβs not worth going here to buy two bolts. There is a large selection of hardware, but they only sell them in packs of 100 pieces. Minimum purchase amount $20β

βThis hardware store is like or better then Home Depot , prices are very like or better. They also have a paint and lumber department plus they have everything a local hardware would have. Anything you need theyβll have it. Plus people there are very helpful as well. If you live around the area there is no need to drive longer to a big name store.β

βI get there and they took care of me very quickly , I had asked the sales man a question about the part and he said don't worry its what you need. Then the other sale man says to me are you done ? " I felt like I was getting kicked out.. just to realize that across the street there was a Jim full of hot ? G.I. Joe Girls lifting ? weights and all the worker, were Glued to the front door window... so I get home to realize that they gave me the wrong part βΉβ
