We waited for three trips to this little store to share our experience, We just left the store a little while ago. The man behind the counter with the cute dog in a papoose claimed he was the owner, i don't believe it because he was rude, short, and asked us if we were buying it not. As if we were disturbing him. After two compliments we gave went ignored we bought the bracelet and left.Two previous trips were great but he made up for them and ruined the reputation they had. We won't be back.

Great gift shop, with unique and classy items. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is pleasant to deal with. Especially Miss Della. Will definitely go back when I'm on Treasure Island.

My wife absolutely loved the shop. We had a mishap when we got home and one of the ornaments we ordered broke. I called and spoke to who I assume was the owner and he was willing to ship one to me. He was very nice and even made sure it shipped the same day. Definitely worth a visit and a good place to get souvenirs.

I would highly recommend that you stop and visit Captain Dave's Trading Company gift store when you are in Treasure Island Florida. Dave has a great variety of nice gifts and conversation with Dave is even better. Dave gave us excellent recommendations for sights to see, restaurants to visit and other places where the locals like to go. Stop by and visit Captain Dave's. We should also note that Captain Dave's supports our veterans and is also pet friendly.

Giving four stars for the hard to find, larger sizes he had in stock. Had he been a little more polite, I would have given all five. Somewhat rude when it came to looking for sizes of T shirts. He said that he would get them because, " I'm not folding T shirts all day! " ?

Cute gift shop in a convenient location. We were finally able to pick up a quality locally-made lawn flamingo! Also loved meeting Della the dog!

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Our first day in treasure island and the owner cornered us and accused us of stealing. Which we didn't. He had no right to come up to us and act in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. He made us all empty our pockets and made my little sister open up her pants because he said he "saw her tuck something in her waistband" His only words after he realized we didn't steal anything was it happens to me all the time because I'm a small business.
