I've been with this bank for 20+ years. Today my gf went to deposit cash through the drive thru. She had my ID my ATM card all the other information you can possibly know about a person. It was $450.00 and they told her I had to deposit it personally, that she couldn't. I just had back surgery and there was no way I could get there without being in pain. I called and a smart butt guy, Andy answered. He said it's been their policy for a few years now. He told me she could deposit a check or go get a money order but no cash. I asked him to explain that and he tells me it's to cut down on laundering money. He said the rest I wouldn't understand. He also said she could deposit it through the ATM but not in the drive thru. I told him it made absolutely no sense when I could get a word in edgewise. I also heard a female teller speaking very loudly in the background but couldn't make out what she said. I asked him what she was saying and he wouldn't tell me. The teller then stopped. Hmmmm. Andy doesn't know how to respectfully speak to customers no matter his position in the bank, he shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone. I wanted a simple explanation and what I got was a snarky guy playing boss over my account and speaking down to me. He tells me she could circle around the building and try to withdraw money using the excuse they just let her deposit to my account. Really? A withdrawal is much different than a deposit. So now I have to worry about bills and automatic payments that come from my account. My gf heard the teller say "what made me question this" and then realized her mic was on. Andy man told me that they couldn't tell it wasn't me so when they asked. She was honest and said she was making the deposit for me. I guess she should've lied and I wouldn't be sitting here worried. This isn't the first crappy service from this branch and I'm sure others have had the same or worse experiences here. I could even understand a little if I had unusual activity or mass amounts of things like this happen but I don't. Thanks Titusville Wells Fargo! Not that life isn't stressful enough without this!!! Don't worry as soon as I get all my business done with your bank, I'll use my other bank from now on. These employees need serious customer service training!!!
