The worst banking experience of my life! This bank is archaic and inconvenient. It's behind the times with outdated systems that delay processing checks, debit cards, etc. Horrible communication. External transfers take over a week. Staff is incompetent and rude. Can't wait to close my account!

Purchased a home in The Villages and thought the process would be easier if we went through the inside bank. We were told the closing would be four weeks from the day we wrote the contract. Two weeks and two days later our loan officer called to say that he had emailed the contract to their contracts department but the email didn't go through. No one had noticed until the day after I called with several questions. Nothing had been done on their end as far as appraisal and legal work. They said there was no way to expedite the process and delayed the closing by another two weeks. Asked him to take it to his supervisor who in turn told him no, I didn't even rate a call from her. Between the airline cancellation penalty and rebooking at a higher price, I was out several hundred dollars. Also a day on the phone cancelling and rescheduling air, car and hotel.

Made the mistake of only checking google to see if the branch was open on Saturdays. The banks hours are correct on their website but not on google. Waste of time and gas, lesson learned... I really cannot give the bank a bad mark based on service because the ladies there are always REALLY nice. However, I'd just say that perhaps the person keeping up with the website and google info correct some items...
