Brought my wife's Prada bag to have the handle fixed. They did an excellent job! Quality and customer service goes a long way, and they met both. This place is 45 minutes from my house, but I'll definitely be using them again, if needed!

I brought a pair of very expensive, designer heels in for repair and they did an incredible job!! So I decided to trust them with a rehab project of an even more expensive designer handbag that was in VERY rough condition. Not only did they spend an unbelievable amount of time on it, but they charged me an extremely fair price for the rehab AND they were responsive, communicative, and reasonable throughout the entire process. I know that no other place would have been so helpful and knowledgeable. They have won my business forever. I'm grateful to the business and very appreciative.

I took in a pair of wedges with visible need of the soles needing to be replaced. I also opted for the additional fee to have the shoes cleaned. 2 week later I returned to pick up the shoes and noticed they were not cleaned. I asked if they considered that clean? The young man advised they did not notice I paid for the cleaning and to return the next day and they would have them ready and cleaned for me. I return the next day, the wedges are ok but not to my satisfaction, at this point I can do a better job. I get home to notice the new sole which is coming off of the old sole was not properly glued. I called and asked for a refund, of course the cobbler asked me to come back in for him to redo the job. My time is very valuable and I can not continue to go back to a place to walk them through every step of their job. Lesson learned... I will not be returning but if you do I suggest you check the work prior to leaving the shop.

Orthotist Vasile Faklis has created custom made orthotics for me for several years. They're of excellent quality, far better than the ones I ever ordered through my podiatrist. I trust his expertise, and value his skill. Amanda, the sales person in the shoe store section of the business, is also terrific, and helped me find a new pair of sneakers to take care of a gait issue I was having. She was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, ordering multiple models until we found the perfect fit. I'm grateful for Faklis' Department Store & Shoe Repair, and am willing to drive nearly an hour from Wesley Chapel to ensure that I can get everything I'm looking for.

Had to have some last minute sewing done on a Hunting pack brought it in the store explained what I was looking for and that I was on a time crunch. They knocked it out of the park for me. Thank you for taking the time with me and getting my pack fixed. Next pair of boots I order will be through Faklis

My first pair of orthotics with Vasily lasted for 5 years! I wore them nearly every day. They were outstanding! Just picked up a new set for my shoes. I can't recommend the skill, customer service and the experience highly enough.

When you walk up to this store, it doesn't look like much. But inside are the nicest people with a great selection of comfortable shoes. In the back is the shoe repair area with men who can restore shoes as if they are shoe magicians. I came here many times in my 35 years of teaching to have my dress shoes resoled. They were all done well, and I got many years use out of each repaired pair. It was only when they were scuffed or marked so badly that I had to get rid of them. The soles were the last to go. I was back Thursday (9/28/23) to inquire about the cost of new soles for Husband's dress shoes. The soles broke away from the shoes due to rot. It would be a $100 for new soles or $25 to glue them back together with no guarantee that the soles would stick for a long time. Husband hates dressing up and these shoes are over 30 years old. After our next dress up event, we'll go shopping for new dress shoes. We might find them here! I did see a great pair of Florsheim for him for $80! For now, they are getting soles glued on.

I have been using Faklis for at least 15 years now. Florida is very hard on shoes and they do an outstanding job of extending the lifespan of the ones that break regularly. We are incredibly fortunate to have a resource such as theirs in our small village.Long may they continue.

I had a piece of leather from a purse strap, to put a snap on to make a bracelet. No one in the store was competent. There was no one there who could even find 2 pieces of the snap to match each other. They looked forever in little boxes to find a match. That took about half an hour. Then they took another long time to put the snap on. But it was backwards and it was not fixable, so totally ruined the bracelet and it was a gift. I have put snaps on... its a simple process! I will never go back there and do not recommend anyone taking anything there.

I needed a small service on an expensive crossbody bag and their technicians took care of it on the spot for me. They were very attentive, courteous, and capable, and they are right here in Tarpon Springs Faklis Department Store for those of us who live here or nearby. I highly recommend them.NM

Ok. I realize I messed up my heel by buying what I thought was a great deal in shoes. Well sometimes I'm just too poor to be cheap and these last sneakers purchased proved that point to a tee! So knowing I want good walking shoes that won't aggravate my heels, I figure Clark wallabies, which I hated when I was a kid, but remember they were comfortable walking shoes as a student in Germany. However, the reviews I read on Wallabies stated they were no longer like the old ones made 20 years ago. Well my feet remember them from 53 years ago. I guess I can cross them off my list. Maybe better to get fitted for a proper walking shoe. Where better to get fitted for a shoe than Faklis? Happened to be in the area and decided to check out Faklis for a walking shoe or sneaker. Vasily was so ever helpful. He had me walk so he could check my gait and guided me into a wonderful pair of Brooks that also happened to be on sale. The heel giving me trouble felt nirvana immediately from the support the shoe offered. Also I found out I was purchasing the wrong size shoe. Haven't had a proper shoe fitting in ages. Not only were the shoes a good deal but I also got an education on how my feet needed certain support in specific areas. I hope I get back to the area & when I do I want to get a full orthopedic evaluation. Cheap is not the way to go when you want your feet to last another 53 years. Faklis is definitely worth a visit for comfortable socks and proper fitting shoes. I highly recommend Faklis. And thank you Vasily for providing me with a proper fitting and comfortable shoe!

Stopped in for a repair and came out with a new pair of shoes for my hubby. Staff was so awesome and very knowledgeable on the right running shoe for him. Recommend this place for any shoe and other foot or repairs to leather items

Very nice people, very helpful and welcoming. Treated me like a rockstar even though I didn't make a big purchase. Lots of items that I didn't expect from a shoe repair shop. Also carry's very large mens' sizes
