My husband found Unicar Sales quite by accident ... we were told by my regular mechanic that my 2005 Jetta was not repairable & maybe (?) needed a new transmission. Not wanting to put that kind of money into my 11 year old car, we were looking online for possible VW scrapyards that would pay more for my car than a dealer would give us in trade - being that the car was not running at all. My husband called Unicar for that purpose & talked to Adam, one of the mechanics, asking about retiring my car there. Adam asked what had happened & said it sounded like the flywheel to him, told my husband to bring the car to him & he'd take a look. We hauled the car 80 miles to Tampa & we are SO glad we did!!!! My car's flywheel was indeed the problem & much cheaper to fix than we had originally thought. Adam & his dad, Miro, had my car done by Wednesday - when promised by Friday (how often does THAT happen?????) - & when we went to pick it up, Miro had washed it! These people ROCK!!! They were SO nice, professional & wonderful to deal with. They kept us apprised the whole time & treated my car like it was theirs - when they were finished repairing my car, it looked better than when we'd taken it to them & is running like brand new. Something that seems very small, but made a huge difference to me, is that they even reset my clock & my radio clock because my battery had gone dead. I've never had my car repaired & had that level of attention shown to it. If you need your 2005 VW Jetta's flywheel replaced or need ANY VW repaired & are getting the run-around from your mechanic - it is worth your time & money to take your car to Adam & Miro. I will make the 160 mile round trip to take my car to them when anything else goes wrong. Adam & Miro KNOW Volkswagens & make the repair process as painless as possible.
