'Buyer Beware'Honda of Tampa sells lemons. Mr. Sierra is a salesperson to watch out for. I specifically asked, have all the vehicles been checked out and certified? He answered, 'Everything on the lot has been certified. ' I purchased the vehicle, and drove less than a month when I noticed it was shaking very badly, as if it was about to fall apart on the highway. I contacted the dealership, and got the run-around for several weeks. I had taken it to three different auto shops, including two Honda dealerships. I learned it had been wrecked. It was finally repaired months later. Some repairs were covered under the powertrain warranty, while others that weren't covered, I had as an out of pocket expense. I would never purchase another vehicle from Honda, nor would I ever recommend Honda to anyone!

AVOID THEM, KEEP DRIVING!!! I went to Tampa Honda to look at and potentially purchase a 2006 Cadillac advertised at $5994. The car was a nice car, low mileage, and rode like a dream. The salesman, "Ali", was assisting us and after sitting at his desk for a moment, he handed me a paper with the "out the door" price marked up to just under $10,000. As I started to try and negotiate, Ali got aggressive, asking me what I wanted him to do. After some debate, he handed me the paper with all the figures on it and asked me to write down what I wanted to pay. I circled the $5994 and he laughed at me. They had a reconditioning fee and a mark up for a trade in and the ever present dealer fee. The dealer fee was $1200, for a used car. Ali then started in trying to talk down to me regarding paying for tax, tag, and title. I'm 57, not 12. I told him that he was disrespectful and that I deserved better treatment. I told him the added fees were nonsense. I told him I was prepared to pay the advertised price of $5994. I told him to remove all the BS fees. He went on with asking me how I thought a business is to run without profit, again, talking down to me. He truly was the rudest and the least friendly salesman I've ever encountered. I refused to be treated that way, and I told him so as I left. I called the dealership within 10 minutes of leaving to speak with a sales manager and got Alex. Alex said he would talk to Ali as to how he treated me (yeah, right). Then Alex said he could remove the reconditioning fee, but not the $1200 dealer fee. I told Alex that he could set it at $4000 out the door and I wouldn't be back with the way I was treated. Also, Alex agreed the $1200 dealership fee was excessive and said it's not negotiable. Again, am I stupid? It is negotiable and it cost them my business. For the record, I've purchased 5 cars in the last 8 years and never paid more than $400 dealership fees. DO NOT COME TO THIS DEALERSHIP, AND AVOID ALI, HE TREATS YOU LIKE YOU'RE BELOW HIM.

Went in for a repair under warranty on a Civic 2022 EX-L that was supposed to be a one day job and ended up being three days, on the second day after calling no less than 10 times, either to be hanged up upon or provided no info whatsoever, I showed up to the dealer just to be told the vehicle was not ready and no info could be provide since the advisor assigned was not there. After rearranging work and personal stuff again I was able to pick up the vehicle on the fourth day. After picking up the vehicle I called back almost immediately to notify the exhaust was leaking after the repair (not noticed when picked up because it was raining a lot) upon arriving to my house I noticed it and called right away, I then talked to the first service advisor that worked with me originally (William), explained the situation and agreed to sent the car back next day.Sent the car back next day (5 days wasted already) I notify clearly what was the situation and even sent a note (EXHAUST LEAK) with my wife who was in this last case the person dropping the vehicle at Tampa Honda: They returned the car with a service note stating that no OIL leak was found????At this point I have called around 20 to 30 times, took 6 Uber trips (not counting the ones for things not related to picking/dropping the vehicle), still have a leakage sound coming on and off from the exhaust and still haven't been able to talk to no one in there. They always hang up, or placed you on hold without notification, or just don't answer. **Except for William who was the first advisor that I worked with, this place has to be among some of the worst customer service I've experienced in the area. *If anyone is looking for a Honda dealership that can back up their sales stay away from this one. They can't even get a hold of people internally (Or so they say when they try to reach out)I guess I will now be out of pocket for what they messed up while fixing something else Kudos Tampa Honda! .*Edited: Went back to the shop, supposed to be fixed (sounded like while inside their shop), upon driving out on the road as well as after the vehicle cool down at home and got to start it next day, same loud exhaust noise started to come out under both situations. For sure paying for another shop to fix. Not coming back here and highly recommend to stay away from this shop. due to using their services I've now wasted no less than 7 days, and shortly will see how much to fix their wrong.Upon dropping the car at a different shop they immediately found a broken gasket on the exhaust (mid-pipe) and two missing screws from the skid plate/cover that Tampa Honda messed up and left like that.

On July 19, 2023 I bought my Nissan 350z convertible and absolutely love the car. They fixed the things we agreed upon 2 weeks later. The salesman, Nick, handled all repairs as promised. Bill, the finance consultant took my trade and cash payment on the car. I left there paid in full. When I looked in the envelope with finance papers later that night, there was no Registration or Electronic title. I know this can be printed instantly through the tag office online from their computer. I do this everyday and deal with 5 of our offices correcting any errors. I am the Operations Manager for Load Runner Trailers and we are connected to the DMV website through ADD (Auto Data Direct) So when I contacted the Dealership to see where my title was, the lies began to come from Different salesmen one of which was Josh. My salesman and Bill only repeated what they were told who knows who, that the title was put in the mail on August 14 2023. The over two month runaround I received from this dealership is horrible. They told me that the tag process is different that of a Trailer dealership when it comes to being able to print out an Electronic Title. I called the DMV to verify this and found out that they lied once again. I went onto MYDMV for a vehicle information check and found out that the dealership still has my title in pending status. That is because they have not finalized with Tallahassee DMV. They are legally suppose to have all title and registration completed within 30 days. (Section 319.23 (6)(a) Florida Statutes. A fine of $20 and up to $1000 will be charged against their dealer license account. I called today and was hung up on by Josh. I ask that the General Manager, Justin Haun, to call me today (09/28/2023) They did not know when he would be in. This dealership certainly does not take me serious. I will be calling Lithia Motors Corporate office today to place a complaint about customer service after the sale. Lithia Motors Corp office email is
[email protected] should anyone like to share the business practices of this dealership. I even paid overpriced tag title fee $299. for this service. I just had my tag transferred to the vehicle. The title fee should have only been $75.75. I also will file a complaint with the DMVRegion6. I found out this dealership has all kinds of profit fees. The Recon fee is a total profit joke. The Dealer Fee is excessive.I can honestly say the joy of buying a vehicle from this dealership is lost. They should check out the valid fact of this review and make changes to how they treat people. I could never recommend their customer service to anyone. My name is Chris Tummond 414-526-4139 if anyone needs any help with their issues. I am quite sure my only response form this dealership will be automatic and generic. But at least I have warned the public. Everything in this review is factual.

Larry in Service was horrible to deal with. My basic service took just over 2 hours & he tried to overcharge me.

I purchased a vehicle from Tampa Honda on Florida Av. without checking out the reviews first. This was a big mistake on my part. The staff leaves much to be desired. The finance department, one, in particular could use some education on executing professional customer service skills. I called the next day to ask some questions about a warranty I had just purchased from them, and I was told it was his day off, so I left my call back information. I never received a call, so I called three or four more days, and was told the same thing. I have now been driving on the expired temporary tag.

I went to look for a car and my sales person David was great at showing me around however, the sales manager (or the short angry man that reviews the prices) was extremely rude and got a big attitude when I did not agree that a 2020 used accord was worth $30k. If you're looking for newer cars for less than that head over to Melvin at Westshore Honda they're much nicer and won't get rude and irate when you try to negotiate.

Keavon Sharp salesman is very unprofessional. First, I walked into the sales room and nobody greeted me. Next, I had to approach one of the salesman, his name is Keavon Sharp. He asked me a few questions then said "If you're not going to buy then you can't test drive because I don't want to waste my time and yours." (This is unprofessional, if I'm going to your dealership, of course I'm wanting to buy.)Last, after finally getting a test drive, we walked to his desk, I asked for the draft, then he kept resisting, pressuring and arguing to get my car information.(If a customer wants to see the draft, show them the draft. Nothing else matters.)Terrible customer experience. If I'm going to a dealership, of course I'm going to buy the car. Then, if I ask for a draft why argue with me. At the end of the day it's about giving the best customer experience. Not sure who trained him but honestly, you guys need a talk to this gentleman. You guys lost a potential customer.

Make sure you ask for Chris! He was a pleasure to work with., so much that my husband bought two vehicles in one day! Chris worked efficiently in getting the numbers together. While there was a minor hiccup in the beginning, he was able to quickly locate the second vehicle of our choice in a reasonable amount of time. Loved the fact that Chris followed up via text on the status of our vehicle. Very friendly service, responsive, no games, straight to the point. Definitely recommend! And yes, we purchased both vehicles in white.

When my 2020 Honda Pilot wouldn't start at 4:00 pm on the Friday of Fourth of July weekend, I freaked out thinking our plans for the entire weekend would be shot.Happened to think to reach out to Courtney Meade, the GM of Tampa Honda to see if anyone on his team could possibly work me in last minute. Not only did he make the impossible, possible, but he met me at my vehicle with Ricky, the service manager, as soon as I pulled in.When I found out it was the battery that needed to be replaced I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they got it 100% taken care of under warranty by Honda. Not only was I in and out in under 90 minutes but we saved a ton of money from just running to Advance Auto and trying to do the work myself.Thank you for being AWESOME, Tampa Honda!!! We will definitely be back...And an extra big SHOUT OUT to Ricky for helping me diagnose a cruise control issue I had after the fact. You were incredibly patient and detailed with your responses... and it was absolutely appreciated!

We had a great experience obtaining our Honda Ridgeline. New cars (especially popular models) in this environment are in short supply, but the folks at this dealership went above and beyond in procuring a car from another dealer in the region. Our new car is SWEET... and many thanks to the folks that we dealt with including Tavon our salesperson.
