George helped me get the cookware that I wanted. He was very courteous, attentive and professional. He was knowledgable about the products which helped my buying decision. And he even guided me to a few great deals that I would have missed if he hadn't made me aware of them that Sunday afternoon. I had a good experience with the Sur La Table store in Hyde Park Village, Tampa.

My husband surprised me with a date night cooking class as part of my Christmas present. We did the lobster ravioli date night dinner and it was so much fun. We got to hand make pasta, sauce, crostinis, and salad. I’m excited to try some of their other classes such as bread making, desserts, etc. makes a great date night but would also be perfect to do with friends or family. The time flew by and would definitely recommend as a unique experience.

It’s unfortunate you charge so much money for a class and refuse to let the client take their food home. I’ve taken multiple classes elsewhere and never heard of anything so ridiculous. You all were telling us how you like the food cooked and what ingredients you prefer and then stated you would be eating our left overs. You cannnot have a class for families and children who can be hungry one minute and full the next. I will not be coming back to your facility, I had a child at home I promised food to, and couldn’t bring it to him because of your foolish policy. I did not pay this amount of money to not be able to eat my food.I was told you do not have a certificate since COVID-19 for patrons to take their food home. On the same note, you pair up different people at the same cooking station, so cross contamination is involved from someone I don’t know. This makes absolutely no sense. One of your employees was making fun of my cupping marks, I’d highly appreciate a little respect from an employee. Really can’t believe how horrible this experience was with my kids. It’s a shame how this is run, a class like this could be such a great experience. Nothing on your website states any of the above mentioned concerns. Being clear and stating rules to guests before they arrive should be done.

More than a cooking class, Sur La Table offers a wonderful cooking and dining experience. Chef Sam is a great professional chef and provides great instruction that ensures your dishes are successful and tasty, regardless of your skill level. Great for a special date night.

The cooking classes are one the the most fun experiences I’ve ever had, they are a great time to spend with friends and family, while you get the chance to eat great food made by you with a professional chef guiding you all the way across the cooking of your multiple dishes.I got the chance to experience the Thai food, and you will cook more than 1 dish. The food and the ingredients are not only great but you will have a lot of food to eat after your done cooking.Highly recommend and if you are looking for some fun activity to do with friends and family that include a good time with good food.

This transaction couldn't have gone worse. They shipped me a package that was smashed on the inside but perfectly fine on the outside, which clearly means they shipped it like that. Then when I contacted them, a case was opened that they have yet to respond to after 2 weeks and several attempts by me to follow up. All this around Christmas time when this was supposed to be a gift. Opened a dispute with my bank. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

My fiancé and I went into Sur La Table to create our wedding registry. We stumbled upon Kelly who works as a chef with the organization and she was instrumental in assisting us with what items to add. From knives, pots, pans, to baking sheets she left no stone unturned and we are grateful for her help!

What a great experience making fresh pasta with chef John Edward's. The food was so good, we brought our own wine, and we were paired with some awesome ladies to cook with. Great time!!

Overall this was a huge bummer and ruined our anniversary to be frank. We are teachers and $190 is a large expense for us. We recognize that we are paying for the chef and the overall cooking class experience, but it is advertised as somewhat of a meal. This was a sampling (photos included) and we ultimately had to go to lunch after our most expensive meal of the year. Disclaimer #1: We have done classes here before and could've had leftovers. I don't know if the portion size was terrible because it was a lunchtime class or because it was a small group, but this was 100% not worth a fraction of the cost. Another Disclaimer: Chef was enthusiastic, engaging and fun. He did nothing wrong and was fantastic. Otherwise: 0/10 do not recommend. The rating is mainly from the disparity between the cooking class description (language & photos) vs. reality of the experience. We would have been disappointed even if the manager, Kelly, was polite or apologetic (hell, she could've just blamed the situation on corporate). Our frustration was exacerbated by Kelly's response, reiteration that they could not have erred (it's an automated process) and her ask for a burden of proof (via photo) that the portion was inadequate. Funnily enough, the portion was so egregious that I took pictures during the plating. I showed the pictures to the manager, Kelly, who said that without a photo of the other group's food, we had to, again, be in the wrong. NOTE: In what world should I have interrupted another couple to take a photo of their portion? Let alone for the purpose of filing a complaint. Also while trying to remain positive for the sake of our anniversary experience. Kelly also emphasized that she could not give us a partial credit, BOGO on another class (in which case we would give them another $95) or anything else to remedy the poor experience (Final Note: we did not ask for a refund). In fact, those solutions were presented by us. Kelly just repeatedly told us that there was nothing she could do and that everything is pre-measured and that there was no way they could have erred. Take a look at the photos for yourself. Don't waste your money here. Go to Bern's for your anniversary. It is cheaper + you get the best steak in town + you get world class wine + a white glove experience vs. getting told that you are in the wrong for a poor experience. @Sur La Table Tampa - please feel free to call me with any questions / desired feedback given this very poor experience. I stumbled upon this store while trying to pass some time before lunch. I'm glad I found it! This store is a culinary dream come true! They have everything you could possibly need or use in your kitchen. They also offer cooking lessons in the back of the store. The regular prices may be higher than other stores but they offer high quality name brands. Their sale and clearance items are definitely worth checking out! The employees are also very welcoming and will greet you to see if you need help with anything. I want to go back to buy Christmas gifts and maybe buy a few more items for myself!

On Oct 2,2023 took two high end Shun knives to be sharped to Sur La Table in Hyde Park Tampa, FL. The knives were sharpen by Josh, assistant manager who desecrated both. He swiftly cover the knives and handed them to me. Once I got home, I discovered the irreversible damage done to both. Took knives to Shun rep- “clearly person that sharpen knives didn’t know what he was doing”. Keri Saggio, Sr. District Manager East contacted me and she didn’t acknowledge their error. So I am left with two knives destroyed as their facade has been defaced without any recourse. Josh, Chef Kelly and Keri Saggio do not appear to accept any responsibility.

I loved the store in Sarasota and shopped there often. Unfortunately it closed, but because of my positive experiences, I decided to order online. I wasn't at all satisfied with my purchase and am on day 5 of unanswered emails and several unhelpful phone calls regarding my return. I'm now told it's a UPS glitch and should try again tomorrow! Never again!

so, I had ordered online and selected for pickup and upon getting to the store, I was greeted right away and told them why I was there and then they went and got the order I placed online. Also I was able to walk around the store for a bit. Just a note for the store we had really good customer service from the guy in front. He was also the person who had originally greeted us and also retrieved the order I placed online. Super shoutout to that person for making the whole experience as painless process! This isn't my normal store I shop at but I'm thinking of going back to get a few more things.

My husband and I were in the area for lunch and we decided to check out the store. The staff was very kind and welcoming the selection of kitchen supplies and gadgets and such was awesome. You can't help but want to purchase something and of course we did.I am so glad that we were able to find what we had been looking for for quite a while, which was a wok and some utensils for it, I will definitely return to this location for more of my kitchen needs because I am changing the aesthetics of my kitchen and I saw so many things in there that would fit perfectly. I really liked this store and I highly recommend it.

My kids did Baking 101 Camp here and it was a SMASH HIT!! They learned to make things we've never attempted at home (quiche, raviolis, etc) and really gained confidence in the kitchen. Worked well for daughter and son- I think the camp was split 8 girls/4 boys. We will be back next year!Bonus: I got my knives sharpened at Sur La Table that week, so checked off an overdue task!
