Our A/C went out while we were on vacation. I called on July 4 when I found out it wasn't working. Originally I was given an appointment for July 10, but was able to reschedule when an earlier date became available. Michael was here at 8:01 and fixed it within a few minutes. COOL AIR AGAIN!Service: HVAC system repair

If I could give zero stars, I would. Please, for the love of everything that's good, do NOT purchase your AC unit from Sears. We have been living a nightmare for the past week. We purchased a brand-new top-of-the-line unit from them last year. We were hesitant because of things we know about Sears and their business struggles, however our salesman promised us the moon and the starts. The unit we purchased was their most expensive one because I am very mold sensitive. They gave us a warranty and a decent maintenance plan that was included. It has broken twice, in less than a year.We were having some error messages last week and had the maintenance person check on them. He told us the blower was broken and told us to shut off the unit until it could be repaired. This was on a Friday, and Sears would not send anyone to fix it that day. So this means, we had to wait until Monday. A whole weekend with no AC in the Florida heat. We wait patiently until Monday. Monday comes around, and no one shows up. We find out around 2pm that no one would be coming because the repair man was sick, and they only have ONE PERSON that can do warranty repairs in all of Tampa! I would not have purchased if we knew about this. We were told there would be plenty of options and that was a lieSo, they reschedule us for Wednesday. This now makes 6 days of no AC, in 90 degree Florida heat, with kids and pets. Wednesday comes around, and they cancel the appointment and don't give us any explanation. Unreal. By the way, running fans in the house only circulate warm air. It's dreadful. Makes for no sleep, and it's even hard to shower and get ready for work because it's so hot.During all of this, we have been calling multiple phone numbers. We have tried calling the sales person, who won't pick up or call back, we have tried calling just about every Sears office we can find. No one will pick up or call back. I even tried reaching out via Twitter, asking for a manager to call us, and they told me it would take 48-72 hours. It's no wonder they are tanking in business. The customer service is just atrocious. They told us Wednesday we would be on top of the priority list, and we would be first in line to be fixed today, Thursday. We have a link to track the repair man. It says there are multiple stops before us and our wait time keeps getting pushed back more and more.We have tried everything. I hate leaving reviews like this, but I have no choice. I don't want ANYONE to go through this. Spending the amount of money we did, and to get treated this way, is just awful. You just don't mess around with people's living conditions with no explanation and piss poor support. We have missed work and have rearranged our schedules now three days now, for nothing. It doesn't make it any better that Sears just won't pick up the dang phone and speak to us like customers they value. Instead, they keep ignoring the situation, only making it worse. At one point, we asked if we can just pick another contracting company for the repair and send them the bill, but they said no. One service person for all of Tampa for warranty work. Remember that folks. So if they are sick or traveling, you are stuck with zero support.Services: HVAC system repair

We moved my daughter to USF in August. While there, we had a tire on her car go bad. They replaced the tire quickly and at a very fair price. Fast forward to last week. My daughter called and said she had a flat on another tire and it wasn't holding air. She visited the shop and they found a screw in her tread. Plugged the hole and charged a small fee for the service. It is very comforting to know that there is a nearby mechanic for her that is fair, honest, well priced and doesn't take advantage of young college students. Thank you for all of that!Service: Tyres

Very HONEST and professional. I went here 2 weeks ago to replace my Charger battery and saved almost $100. I went today to check my A/C on my Durango. The dealer quoted almost $2,500 to repair when all's I needed was a new stem valve and recharge. Great job Sears! God bless!

We have used this Sears Auto location at the University Square Malls for over 5 years for over 6 vehicles. The current manager is Matt who just makes everything so easy, efficient, and affordable. They know our vehicles the best and even set us up with another location to do an engine rebuild on our 2002 Toyota Camry which is almost at 300k miles. They've price matched many other reputable shops for Tires, Brakes, and so much more. We even bought Lifetime Alignment packages from them in the past which they don't sell anymore but always honor it and that has saved us tons over the years! The most valued service they provide is the ease of getting our car to them, having the job done super fast, and always giving us the best price and reliable work which they always stand behind...which they've proved to us over many years now!

Been using this Sears for years now. They have serviced over 6 of our cars across 10 years. Always a a fair and competitive price and they'll give us any additional discount available whenever they can. The current manager is Matt who is super easy to work with and makes it super convenient to get our car in and out in the promised time. Very flexible with our schedule and most of the time I'll just use my free tows to get the car and back especially when I'm at work and they handle the process super smooth and handle everything always exceeding our expectations. They stand behind their service with their warranty and do whatever they can to remedy or fix recurring issues especially if they did the work once upon a time ago. We've had engine heads replaced with them, radiators, water pumps, alternators, condensers, compressors, struts, ignition coils, control arms, axles, tie rods, sway rods, batteries, catalytic converters, brakes, and tons of tires. So far nothing bad to say and will keep them as our go to service shop!

RIP-OFF MECHANIC!They did my brakes and asked for them to check my a/c and belt. Came back and said that it needed a recharge which they had ALREADY done and charged me $60 because “in order to test it they have to charge it”. Then tried to tell me that my wheel bearing was bad. Something didn’t feel right, the guy wouldn’t even print out the estimate for me after I asked twice just told me the price to do it. $210. I told them not to do that and I’d take it to my collision center to double check since I had had an accident on that side a year ago. Collision center checked it and said that it is absolutely fine! There is nothing wrong with my vehicle and this shop tried to scam me out of my money in a pandemic!! Do not go here! I will be contacting their corporate office as well.

Charged me $60 to recharge my a/c when I never authorized them to do anything. Then tried to tell me that my front wheel bearing was bad, never gave me the print out with the estimate after asking for it multiple times. Took my car to a better shop and there's nothing even wrong with it! They tried to scam me out of over $200 for something that didn't need to be done! During a pandemic even! This is the worst service I have ever received and cannot believe that Sears continues to employ people that rip off their customers.

03.01.2021 arrived at 8:00 (with a conformed appointment) to University Mall location with several customers also waiting to see a service advisor. Very courteous, informative service advisor handled my work order. Additional staff and technicians very considerate; use of protective floor mats and seat coverings, wearing PPE and gloves. Thorough check done on my vehicle and diagnosis of issue. Parts ordered, installed and work completed in a reasonable length of time.
