New to town and tried this place out and will NOT return. I wanted my blonde highlights touched up and told the colorist exactly that. I loved the color, just needed the outgrowth to be gone, literally walked over to the mirror, pointed at my hair and said, just make it all like this.. oddly you're not seated in front of a mirror, but like in the middle of the salon facing a wall, so as I knew that I'd been there for a long time and could feel a ton of foils, I didn't really know that she'd basically colored my entire head, this is NOT what highlights are!! now I have a full head of like brassy (the exact thing I said I didn't want) Orange-ish all over color. it looks like bad box color. in addition, this is the MOST expensive salon visit I've ever had (I'm from a big city and went to very nice salons) and this place isn't even that great. it's a hole in the wall in a suburban strip mall. there's nothing fancy about this place and the price was shocking, there were several add-ons and after being there for about four hours I was more than happy to just pay and leave. I'm now using purple shampoo at home to try to 'fix' it... wish me luck and don't go to this place, it's not worth it!!!

So disappointed - Salon Halo of Carrollwood.
Unfortunately, my overall experience is unfavorable. My 3:30 pm appointment for a root touch-up and a very light trim (dusting) ended at 6:50 pm. The light trim turned out to be an uneven cut which needed to be corrected as best as it could by another stylist, but it definitely is not a top notch perfect cut / trim. I lost many inches of hair (just wanted a light dusting) and lots of precious time that I commented on several times throughout my time there. Once home, I looked at the back of my hair with a hand held mirror and immediately saw that the cut is awful, uneven, and short! In addition, I think the stylist thinned out the front around my face and other places. Why thin it out? I did not request that, I want my hair to be full and long.
I need a stylist that I can trust with my hair and my time, so I will not be returning. Thank you.

I hadn’t been for a hair cut since the pandemic hit. A professional cut was definitely desperately needed. I found this salon online. Looked at reviews and checked out photos and liked what I saw. I was pretty anxious, but was quickly put at ease when I walked in the door. Angela sat down with me and we talked about my hair history and my goal. She really listened and gave me great suggestions. The shampoo was the most relaxing and comfortable shampoo I’ve ever had. I walked out feeling so much better. I booked another appointment right away! 10/10 would recommend. Thank you so much Angela!!

I absolutely loved the process of getting my hair done with Angela, and the result is even better! She truly listened to what I was wanting, my take aways from previously having my hair color done other places, and the main concerns I had with the current state/style of my hair, and helped me on all fronts! I was super impressed with the care she took and how easy of an appointment it was from a client perspective; I felt no pressure to talk or to be silent, the conversation just naturally ebbed and flowed with the service, which is sometimes rare for a first time at a new salon for a service taking 4+ hours. My only negative was that there was a miscommunication somewhere with the price between what I was quoted and what I ended up paying; the result was incredible, but I wish I had a clearer breakdown beforehand, as I interpreted the quote at the beginning of the service as what the total cost was, from which my deposit had not yet been deducted, but I believe it was actually the remaining cost, so my deposit was already applied to the charge to pull up that number. I am very grateful for the service and the experience, it was just jarring to see such a different number than I was expecting near the end, especially based on the exceptional level of communication from the salon and my amazing stylist the rest of the appointment. But I will definitely be coming back, and now I know what additional questions to ask! :)

I will strongly recommend Niecy for any style.
She totally transformed my hair it's been a while I haven't had a real person that knows how to cut hair. Great customer service! Super friendly and super professional. I definitely recommend her and I will be back to get my haircut done again.

Amazing experience! Christina fixed a bad haircut I got somewhere else! The environment was clean and peaceful, also very nice they were open on Saturday! Had a scheduling issue recently but they rectified it instantly and were very accommodating. Great customer service! Can’t wait to finally be a return customer at a salon!
