It was a NEGATIVE ZERO STARS for me and my family. Absolutely DISGUSTING! This is a glorified MOTEL. By far DIRTIEST place I’ve ever stayed at inside and out. We stayed in room 263 and when we walked in we were greeted with an unbearable mildew smell. The carpets in our room were absolutely sickening and extremely old, sticky, and super dirty! We were afraid to walk anywhere without shoes. There is zero maid service during your stay. The only reason why this place has any good reviews is because uneducated, trashy people that want a cheap getaway stay here and think it’s the best place in the world because it has a “bay view”. If you want to be surrounded by drunks, gang members and creepers this is the place for you! They have no cameras so watch out because you might get mugged in the creepy parking garage. Oh, and our car being VANDALIZED the first night we were there was just the icing on the cake!!! DO NOT LET THE GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU. STAY FAR AWAY!!

Staff is so friendly and professional. Very clean. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, beautiful views. Quiet accommodating. They're absolutely just great! The views are awesome All around the whole hotel. The vibe is so wonderful. It's centrally located. You can get anywhere in Tampa from there pretty fast. I highly recommend it and I will be visiting over and over again

Great location. Good hotel. Just needs some updates and it would be great. Private balcony was a plus. Pool and connected bar were great.

Horrible experience!! For once we wanted to try out a more high end hotel and they ruined our experience. We called to make sure we had shuttles in place now they told us to our faces were liars as there exact words were “I can assure you nobody said that to you”. This ruins everything we had planned for this trip and now causing our budget to go up so that we can still do the things we planned. So if you want to stay at this hotel and benefit there shuttles I suggest to go elsewhere because they’ll deny you once at the hotel!

I stayed for 1 night mid-August. In order to check in even a minute before 4pm requires a $30 +tax fee, even if rooms are available. They will "hold" your luggage before check in, which meant leaving it in the lobby unattended and not labeled. The person at the desk was a tad condescending during the process. We finally checked in at 4 with a much friendlier person. We took our unattended bags without question. What if they weren't ours??
The room was very outdated. The bathroom needs an overhaul. We were there less than 24 hours and didn't need to use the shower thankfully. The hallways are dark, musty and smell. Our balcony overlooked a swampy area that looked and smelled disgusting.
The pool towels are old, thin, & the size of a hand towel.
The website & 3 staff members confirmed that the airport shuttle (Lyft) was complimentary. From Website FAQ: "Does Sailport Waterfront Suites provide a shuttle to the airport? Yes, there's a complimentary airport shuttle." There is no mention of a time frame for this. I was charged for a Lyft and when I called the resort to inquire, the "Manager" (same person we originally encountered) was quite condescending and refused to refund the fee. I could have called a Lyft myself for less.
The only positives of this place were the front gate guard who was pleasant and helpful. The bar/restaurant at the pool had a great staff (this establishment is not associated with the hotel and you can tell!).
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
Rooms: Old, outdated, dingy.
Walkability: Cannot walk anywhere without crossing a highway.
Food & drinks: The bar/restaurant by the pool had a great staff.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we are so impressed! Very spacious and clean facility. The room was very cozy and homely. We had a great view from our balcony. Service was thorough and friendly, was able to check in painlessly, we even received a bottle of wine for our special celebration :))) Definitely will come back next time!!!

It is a bit run down and the pictures online depict a nicer version of the resort. The bathtub was pretty nasty, the drain looked corroded and the tub was chipping. The pool is small and crowded and around the hotel is a very nasty odor. The only working elevator is terrifying and out of the way. I didn't hate my stay here, but wasn't impressed either.

For how much you pay to stay it is a shame they cannot hire professional cleaners. I saw a cleaning lady with her 5 year old helping her. The rooms and carpet are disgusting and dust and debris was on floorboards. This place has a beautiful view and great location. Just repaint and clean.

Nick and the staff was wonderful with finding me a room.
Rooms: I have been coming to this hotel for 30 plus yrs. I have watched it go from bunk bed to more business friendly. It's moving with time and still looks good.

The suites are ok. The elevator is very small and only one. The check out time is a Lil crazy, if you need a cart to bring everything down at once. You had to wait. If someone had one of those in the elevator.
