So grateful for this REI! We've made several trips here ranging from needing an enrichment night out with Gibson, to hiking boots purchase, paddle boat accessories, to my most recent trip yesterday for a new hiking day pack yesterday.
Rob was above and beyond friendly and helpful. He took so much time to work with me on sizing and helping clear my feeling of overwhelmed with options. Bonus: He was really funny!
We are now members thanks to Rob and look forward to many more trips to the store for purchases and their wide range of classes. Thank you!

My wife and I stopped in before going to Alaska and we had the best customer service from start to finish. Violet help us with our hiking boot selection. She was very knowledgeable and could give us the pros and cons of each individual boot, Amazing!!!
After that, Kim P came over and helped with rain pants. She actually uses the gear and could tell us how well it held and what stye to get for our particular adventure. By far the best shopping experience we have had in a very long time, besides how expensive everything is

Nice shop, but the saddest selection of hiking sneakers and boots. They do not carry any women's wide sizes and men's start at size 8. Very disappointed.

Came to Tampa for the first time & wanted some new running shoes. Did not have a good experience at this store. Staff was pretty rude. Walked off when I tried to talk about my white shoes & ask for shoe cleaner. Guy helping me with the shoes had such a rude tone when I misunderstood his question. Woman at the counter gave me a very mean look when I started talking about the white shoes. Staff needs a bit more tolerance, patience, & professionalism. I spent over $200 here. I won’t be back.

Friendly and helpful staff. Limited in-store inventory. The membership is worth it if you can find what you need. Prices are generally in line with the market.
Parking can be challenging, don't park higher than the 3rd floor.

Came in to REI for the first time today shopping for a nice hiking backpack and was blown away by the service from everyone we interacted with! Annie helped me find and get my backpack to the right measurements and fit! She taught me how to adjust it properly and was just so friendly and helpful! Thanks Annie!!

I was blown away by Dave in the backpack/camping area of the store. I’ve owned several packs over the years and he helped custom fit my new pack for a weeklong backpacking trip. He loaded it up with various weights and we worked on several packing scenarios and he grabbed items throughout the store to use as examples. He also went through a checklist and gave me wonderful tips involving R valve to sleeping bag temp rating ratios, sidewalling a bear canister, an outfit system and how to separate tent stakes to save space. He was so thorough and helpful and one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had and he was so funny. Thank you Dave!

Only negative is that I wish we had one in Australia ? A wide range of products for every budget. Lovely helpful staff who are not overwhelmingly pushy but genuinely want to help.

I walked in 100% sure I was going to walk out with a new expensive pair of sunglasses. I walked around the store for 20 minutes looking for someone to open the case and help me. No one came. Off to sunglass hut.
