I’ve informed the company more than once that I want to cancel our monitoring service. They make it very difficult and give you the runaround on discontinuing service. At this point I’ve simply told them I won’t be sending in any more checks.

Horrible customer service. I got charged multiple times for the same broken keypad. They also work by phone only when electronic communication could be the initial means of communication with a phone alternative when more elaborate discussions need to take place. They are big, unwieldy, and not customer centric.

I ordered a system and was not told that I couldn 't have access to help with installing it. The sensors wouldn't work. I was on the phone a total of 3 hours opening and closing my doors and going insane trying to figure it out. It was faulty equipment!!! I was told I would not receive a refund even though I had paid a YEAR fee in advance!!!! I'm in discussions now. If I have to have a lawyer to help me with this, I will get one. They are a shady and I was not given proper information here. This is becoming so common across the board for goods and services. You have to be a damn detective before purchasing a service these days!!!!!

I signed up in January 2014 and pay almost $60/month for a contract that is for 4.5 years! The cancellation fee is $750 or more now and I had service in July and am still trying to recover a 2X overcharge because the technician did not have the correct equipment on his truck. I have called three times and each time they keep me on the phone and the bill never gets resolved. I have spent hours, 2+, trying to get my bill resolved. I will NEVER recommend Protection 1. The communication is poor, the technicians don't show up either on-time or with the correct equipment, and the contract is extremely punitive!

Do not use Protection 1. 10 months ago they installed a system at my office. The office already had a Protection 1 system but I was told it did not work. After the new system was installed it still did not work. The technician determined the issue was not the system but an error on his part. He apologized made a few calls and indicated I would not be charged. 10 months later they invoice me for the install. I called and explained, emailed and explained but they simply do not care. They simply keep reply that it was human error that resulted in a 10 month oversight. I went with this company only because their system was already in my building. The first red flag was the snarky attitude I received when I called and asked to have it activated and they insisted there was not a Protection 1 system in the location. The landlord had to call to straighten that out.

The best home security system company there is. I have been with them for almost 26 years. I have spoken with Tiffany for the last decade and her customer service skills are over the top.

I had an appointment for 8:00am on Monday morning. I arrive early to our office for the appointment. I waited 15 minutes to call to see where the rep was at. I get an office in Kansas, they call Tampa, and tell me a rep is calling me, and apologize. I wait 15 more minutes, and receive no phone calls. I call the office, and get to speak to the rep from Tampa who is Dan, and he is CLUELESS. He states I don't take calls on Monday mornings, and is this for residential or business. If they can't get their appointments straight how will they protect my property! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
