No one is a fan of selling their brand name favorite items. Exceptionally difficult experience selling.

Waited two hours for them to take almost nothing and give me $30. If you have designer items such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Amina Muaddi, Jacquemus, and Miu Miu (naming the designers I had in my bag) take them elsewhere. Learn from my mistake and don’t waste your time with this place

So before traveling to their location, I called and asked plenty of questions and was told that I can come in and sell two designer items and they could be tested and reviewed today upon arriving. I was told that they don’t do it on Sundays. They could see the frustration in my face and all six employees just stood there with a look on their face like oh we messed up.

Labelswap is great from a buyers perspective but always the worst selling experience possible.
This was my 2nd time attempting to sell there, and both times now I’ve taken all of my stuff back.
I don’t expect much, but taking 3 days to go through my things but giving me 24hrs to pick it up is a bit unreasonable. I received a text saying it was ready for pickup just before 9am which they don’t even open until 10am so I went on my lunch break to pick it up my offer, but after presenting me with an offer and accepting the manager proceeds to walk by and say “oh, we don’t accept that brand” (tags still on) and said they’d need to re-do my offer. It has nothing to do with the measly $6.00 and everything to do with my time and the principle. In addition, I had a “luxury item” which was 90% of my offer that I accepted and they said “it will take awhile” to release the funds because they have to verify it’s real (which I totally understand) but don’t tell me it’s ready for me to rush over on my lunch break then tell me it’s not really ready because you still have to verify the bag through an app, upload all the pictures etc. I ended up having to come back the following day on my lunch break again only to be told they couldn’t verify the bag…which again, I’m not mad about, but don’t waste my time, gas money and rush me just to keep me waiting!! It’s a terrible customer experience, and for that I took everything back. As a business you make the most profit on the back end once you sell something, however, not only do you depend on sellers for inventory but if you made it a great selling experience people are going to be more willing to accept an in-store credit and buy more from you….
Plato’s accepts nearly everything I take there in 20-30 min flat cash in hand and LabelSwap was giving me $37 for 8 brand new items, I got $50 for just 3 of those from Plato’s…

I enjoy shopping here. Not a fan of selling.
They aren’t very quick to look through your things, but expect you to pick it up within 24 hours or they will get rid of it. I kind of wonder if they go through it again and sell some of it after-all. My daughter had hundreds of dollars of clothes given away (some still with tags) because she didn’t come within 24 hrs of a text. I decided to take another bag of clothes there, but I have to leave town. I called them because I don’t want another batch of stuff donated. I have to go pick it up before I leave because it won’t be ready until later this afternoon, but it’s been there for almost 2 days. It’s their rules and they aren’t secret, it just doesn’t seem reasonable- not very flexible for the customer. Plato’s closet looks through your stuff in about 20 min and you don’t have to wait in the store. I took stuff there, went grocery shopping and picked up cash when I was done.
I do love shopping there though.

I think this clothing store is absolutely brilliant! You can bring your clothes and swap them out for different clothes that they have. Hints the name, label swap! You bring them clothes you don’t want anymore they pay you for them with a gift card to their store and you go and start swapping some labels. They do not purchase every piece of clothing you bring them. They are a little picky about what they will buy from you. Think of it this way, it’s a name brand goodwill, upscale Salvation Army etc but they only sell clothes, purses, shoes, hats and jewelry. They have discounts everyday and they are tag color coded. I’ve gotten name brand $50 button up shirts for $2. Hurley board shorts for less then $5 and in great condition. These clothes have been previously owned but I haven’t seen anything faded or tore up. I go there probably once every two weeks. Staff is very friendly and helpful and prices are unbelievable. For real it’s a great place to get the best bang for your buck. So why you still reading this????? GO GET SOME CLOTHES AT LABEL SWAP….YOULL BE GLAD YOU DID!
P.s You can thank me later lol who knows you may just run into me. C-ya Hope this helped!

Definitely the best thrift store in Tampa that I have been to. I love shopping the 75% off tags every month. Definitely a great resale store and good place to sell your old clothing in Tampa.
