This has been my favorite gym and one of the things that I really missed when I left Tampa for a short time period. All of the people who work in this gym are incredibly nice, especially DJ, who welcomes you as a friend instead of a patron. I love the full length basketball court, racquetball courts, and the pool. They also have all the machines and weights I need, and the covered parking in the summer is a huge bonus.

LA Fitness needs to get it together, I have nationwide club access, and I pay the same listed price as a "signature" member. However, I didn't sign up at a signature club and couldn't enter. Let's be real, I'm not going to pay $10 to use a gym for less than 2 hours I don't think most people would if they already have a membership at the same branded gym. If there was a true difference in price, I could understand. From the small amount of time I spent in the gym some warm towel service doesn't really justify it as anything special, it's still a LA fitness gym at the end of the day it's not Lifetime where you get a full kitchen that serves hot and cold foods, spa, salon, multiple indoor pools, a rock climbing wall, 2+ basketball courts, lockers thay actually protect your stuff and an abundance of showers plus other amenities. It is what it is, I had to take a 30m trip to the nearest LA to workout.

I’ve lived in Tampa for the past five years and have been to numerous gyms around the area and none have compared to this LA location. the staff are all SUPER nice (which isn’t so common in Tampa gyms), the equipment is up to date and the atmosphere is great. I have multiple gym memberships and I still come to this gym way more often than others.

DIRTY & UNSANITARY ‼️‼️‼️ I'll be calling the board of health next!!!
This is disgusting pictures of the jacuzzi, THIS IS SICKENING beyond words, the pool is nasty also, that area needs to be SHUT-DOWN & fixed properly for health reasons, they don't care if you tell them, so I'll go this route. The board of health will take this serious!!
Little that they know, when I complain, tables will SHAKE!
I'm concerned for everyone's health, not just mine.. This was my favorite location, time to change membership to YMCA.
Scum bubbles, dirty, mold?? I'm willing to bet diseases too... I have bad knee pain, I was seriously scared for my life in the jacuzzi, I couldn't do it, I got out & left. I felt so nasty. I came home & scrubbed my skin.

I have been going to the LA Fitness on S. Dale Mabry Hwy for approximately twelve years. During that time I have gotten to know the staff from the managers, front desk staff, trainers and also the cleaning crew because they always had at least one members of the cleaning staff cleaning at all times that I was there. It has always been a pleasant place to get a good hard workout in because of the atmosphere, all of the equipment is well maintained and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I have especially got to know the General Manager DJ, who always says hello or waves if he is with another customer and always asks if I had a good workout on the way out and Chris, one of the trainers, who also says hello to me every time I see him and he also trains several of my clients and they always tell me how good of a trainer he is. Overall this location is great and I highly recommend it

I have multi-club access and do a lot of driving for work when I want to use the bathroom and scan in with no problem thinking nothing less as it allows me to enter and beep in as any other club does with my membership later than see they charged me a 10 few against my knowledge of this later on that evening causing my bank to overdraft other more important things I understand now that it is some super cool kids club or which the facility is very nice however it should be posted or not allow your regular scan to go through without asking for your approval or simply having some sort of person at the desk to give you that information or have some type of an alert or separate sound to ensure that your know what your getting into by scaring to check-in.
