This week I had an appointment with Maxx, a neurosomatic specialist at Kodawari. I’ve heard a lot of people say Maxx changed their life, and they were not wrong. Just by taking one look at me he knew more about my body pains than I did. He knew how I slept, how I sat, and why I was walking with pain, and was able to help me relieve so much built up tension. I highly recommend going to him.

I’ve never been to a yoga studio where I felt so welcome. I’ve been going to the studio for over two years now and Love the yoga teachers and sauna leads. It truly is my wellness and fitness home. I highly recommend trying the sauna/ cold plunge in addition to the yoga!

Kodawari Studio is by far and away the Best Yoga in Tampa. Filled with talented instructors and practitioners of varying modalities. As to Yoga owner and teacher Annette Scott, she is the best there is at what she does. If your yoga is strictly Vanilla, her class may not be for you because she is rocky-road, mint chip and rainbow sherbet all rolled up into one. She uses language, and relays stories that could make you laugh or cry or even be offended. She means NO Harm and her ways are part of the process of her style of expanding growth, love, and community. If its not for you, no harm, but so far as THE YOGA, goes it does not get better.

I’ve been going to Kodwari for about a year It’s my favorite yoga studio ❤️?⭐️. Before that I was at a different studio for 10 years and went through YTT 200 training. My sister found Kodwari and loves it there so I decided to give it a try. Hot power was hard for me at first but now I love it it provides discipline and muscle release in a way that regular yoga does not. There are lots of yoga options…. Mindful flow, restorative, and breathwork are some that I’ve enjoyed. Annette, the owner is the real deal. She provides community continues to challenge, teach and entertain me. Her classes provide the framework to become anti-fragile, which is definitely a goal for me. I love the Nordic sauna Highly recommend the studio so glad I found it

Thankful to have found "home" in Kodawari. The sense of community fostered here is truly special. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, you're welcomed with open arms. Years into my practice it is still such a joy to be alongside like-minded individuals who are on their own journey of self-discovery and growth. I have also learned so much about myself through workshops and events focused on various aspects of holistic wellness, from sisterhood to mindfulness practices, which have truly enriched my life.Overall, I can't recommend this studio enough. If you're looking for more than just a place to stretch and sweat, but rather a supportive community and a holistic approach to wellness, then look no further. This studio is truly a gem!

This is my happy place… From the staff, to the yoga and breath work instructors, the sauna leads, and even the owner, everyone makes you feel like part of a special community. When there are setbacks, as there always are in life, they do everything possible to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Kodawari truly cares and I’m so happy to be a part of this amazing community ?

Everyone seems to be pretty enthralled with this studio but I have an honest review to post from an experience that was much different. Firstly, I have to mention that this studio is not appropriate for anyone under 18. Not because of the difficulty level or the heat, but because of the teacher conduct. I took a class Easter weekend with who the front desk associates said was the owner... And, I have never heard so many F bombs in an hours time. Yes, we were all adults in there but it was highly unusual for a yoga instructor to use the F word at least 20-30 times in one class. Not only that, there was heavy use of obscene, derogatory, and perverse language the entire class. Something particularly disturbing were several "jokes" of sexual nature about our mothers. Quite disgusting seeing as how most of our mothers are probably at least 70. I am aware the owner thought she was being funny, but as someone who has practiced yoga her entire life, this is NOT the culture. Never has been an acceptable form of conversation in a class like this and never will be. It completely goes against the belief system that the practice of yoga was founded on. So that's why I would not advise anyone to bring their teens for a class if foul language is not used in the home. Furthermore, I had called earlier that morning and asked about the difficulty level since I was on vacation and was not familiar with this particular studio. This is a completely valid question when spending $24 for a class. Furthermore, someone who is in a different season of life could have been calling to find out if perhaps the class would be too hard for them. Just to get a feel of what they're stepping into. Half way through the class, the teacher brought it up and started making fun of me in front of the entire class. Making snide comments about me, which I could tell was an ego boost. I was a paying customer and if I wanted to ask how hard things were in there, at 105 degrees, I had every right. Oh, and if you are the type of person who needs to drink water in an extremely challenging environment, this also is not the place for you as we were told time and time again not to. Within just the hour I spent there, I picked up on a false sense of community and some serious cultural appropriation happening. Just no respect what so ever for the students in the class or the culture. That's my experience. I've practiced for two decades and am advanced enough of a practitioner to be able to speak to this situation with complete transparency and knowledge of how a class is supposed to be instructed.

Breathwork with Agathe: incredible experience of regulating and healing the nervous system through immediate release of stress/tension/past hurts in real time under the expert and compassionate guidance of Agathe who leads you through this spiritual/metaphysical journey for about 45min. She also shares the skill/gift of Reiki healing by holding space for every single person in class. I always love her music selection to really get into an elevated state. Truly an out of body experience!Agathe also creates and hosts unique “secret” events that are fun 2hr journeys into the depths of our inner world to explore and learn more about ourselves and how we interact/perceive the external world. Full of self discovery, stepping outside our comfort zones, personalized gifts and nurturing our vital roles in community ?

My husband and I are regular Kodaweirdos we are in the studio about once a day for either hot yoga, breathwork with Agathe, sauna/ cold plunge, restorative classes like Kinstretch with Moses, or visiting a practitioner. The owner Annette really cultivates a thriving and connected community. Everyone is different but relatable and open. So special! We are weekly Reki & breathwork goers - it has transformed our lives and is such a competitive edge for life. Each class with Agathe is a different experience, yet familiar enough to be one of our favorite routines.Thank you ?
