They have just about everything you need to work with fabrics and similar materials that you just can't get anywhere else. It's definitely a hands-on kind of store to find exactly what you need. And the prices are quite reasonable. They don't have many workers in-store but they have always been very helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. It's a pleasure shopping here.

So sad to here that our favorite Joann's in Tamp is closing. They have such a variety of fabrics that you can not find anywhere else. And lots more home goods too.

I am extremely disappointed with the experience my wife and I had at Joann. We went to the store simply to purchase a piece of fabric, but the treatment we received was appalling. It was clear that we were not being treated with respect, and it felt like the staff’s attitude was influenced by xenophobia or national discrimination. Their behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
This was, without a doubt, the worst store with the worst workers we have ever encountered. It’s a shame that a place like this, which should focus on creativity and welcoming customers, is instead a hub for such negative energy and disrespect. Shame on you, Joann.
We will never shop here again and will share this experience with others to ensure they are aware of the treatment they might receive.

The male who cuts the fabric needs to move on. His rudeness is evidence that he is in the wrong job. Other than him ...pleasant experience.

Joann's selection of Halloween decor in 2024 is a step up from what they've done in the past. I would even argue that it's better than Michael's for 2024.
Skeleton wind chimes are on point. Goths will now know when it's windy.
Blacklight alien skeleton is a nice addition.
Dancing mummy skeleton has oddly unique music that will frighten away the Swifties.
My only problem is that the prices are too spooky. Too scared to shop. Bank account in the grave. Need to summon dollars from the other side.
1...2... Creditors coming for you.
9...10.... Never have good credit again.

Lots to see and choose from, however, I don't know if it is me or this location, but there aren't many choices of crochet yarns. I was looking for the scrubby type, to make dishes scrubbies. Yarn Sale was not really enticing.

Cashier staff named Matthew was very rude and very unprofessional. Please train your staff well with right etiquette on customer service even just a simple greetings and saying "Thank you" after each transactions.

Very poor customer service at this location. I would advise against going here. They had a short staff and instead of doing anything to mediate the situation, they have an angry guy answering the phone raising his voice the second you ask if there's someone there to cut fabric. Like he was really mad that anyone would dare ask. I went there the other day and there was a group of people just waiting around for someone to help them cut their fabric. After 10 minutes of waiting, I called and asked if there was anyone there to cut the fabric. Immediately, I get a raised voice "MA'AM, WE ARE SHORT STAFFED. THERE'S ONLY TWO OF US." No no no, that's not what I asked. There were customer service friendly ways to handle this issue. 1. Improvise with a sign to alert people waiting around that they are short staff and no one's gonna help 2. Warn people at the door that you're short staffed and only helping people that are not buying fabric. IT'S A FABRIC STORE and they're prioritizing the non-fabric customers. Also, that guy lied. A non-speaking employee walked by us waiting and went to a register close by and didn't greet or address any of the people waiting. I was already leaving because I got yelled at for asking a question and on my way out they had TWO MORE EMPLOYEES at the cash register and there wasn't even a line. There were just two people checking out that were buying random accessories. Where is the organizational intelligence in that decision. You work at a fabric store where people come to buy fabric and you choose to use all your resources at the check out instead of dividing them to accommodate the bulk of your customers. It's small minded employees that just don't care and I will never go to that location again.

The place is bright, clean, and tidy. The team members are pleasant and helpful. We find several useful sales items for very good prices. But the is only one cashier even when there are seven customers in line to get checked out.

Bathrooms are consistently dirty. Been here multiple times. TP everywhere, not wipped, doest smell good, toilets are not secured properly and are shaky. Not at bad as Michael's at least. Edit: this was a 2 star but both soaps don't work so 1 star
